Writing articles for Adsense is the way to do it. Using the right keywords in your articles and having Google ads on a certain site has become the most profitable way of marketing that anybody can get into. No experience and level of education needed. If you are not using this strategy, or may not be aware of it in the first place, chances are you may be losing thousands of dollars worth of extra income and still do not know it yet.

When combined together becomes a really powerful tool to a successful web site and richer individuals. Many internet marketing professionals are already aware of the value of an original quality content and how using keywords can drive targeted traffic into their sites from the search engines.

So why don't all these web site owners write and submit their own articles if that is what is important?

The simple and understandable answer is that it takes time to write articles, submit them and get targeted traffic to their websites. That is why they get the services of those who can spares sometime to write the articles that would cater to their site purpose but still turn out as a good quality and unique piece of work.

To get into the Adsense marketing business and start earning some good cash, ask yourself. Did you enjoy writing when you were in school? If you answer yes to this question, you already have an initial advantage over most internet marketing business owners that wants to make money
online and doing it at home.

With the boom in the Adsense market comes the need for sites to want fresh, quality and original keyword rich content. This way, web site owners can have a steady supply of articles with the proper keywords that they relate to their site contents. The result of this is seen in the sites page rank when indexed by the search engines. Which, in turn, gets moreAdsense ads to show above, below or next to the article on their website with targeted traffic.

What do people have to do?

Write quality and original content, keyword or phrase rich articles with links to your website in the resource box. Then build a website or web page with targeted keyword or phrase rich original content for the targeted traffic that originates from the articles you wrote. Finally, you will have a Google Adsense ads that are targeted to your keyword or phrase rich original content site where visitors will get to visit when they come looking for information.

A win-win situation if you think more about it. A favor for persons looking for quality content and information. For the persons writing the original content articles. And the person with the quality original content rich website. Of course, the search engines and its advertisers are getting targeted traffic and sales but so what? As long as you are getting something in your favor, it does not really matter what the others are getting for themselves.

So who else wants to start earning money with Adsense. You. Everyone. Anybody. Internet marketing has many opportunities wide open for this people. Writing articles and using Adsense for your kind of internet marketing strategy is one sure way of getting a piece of that action and cash.

What Can Dora The Explorer Teach Us About Home Business?

By Kimberly Gingras

As a mom of two young children, I have seen more than my share of children's television programs. However, one of my favorites has to be "Dora the Explorer." Dora teaches children how to count and say words in Spanish, about patterns and matching, and so many other things. Interestingly enough, the "Dora the Explorer" program can also teach adults many things about home business! I will illustrate this by discussing the three main characters.

DORA - Dora has many great characteristics, but her sense of adventure is what strikes me most. She has explored more places and done more things than anyone could ever imagine. Even though difficult situations arise from time to time, she does not let her fear control her life. She has faith in her abilities, no matter what challenges lie ahead. She sets goals for herself, and uses "Map" to plan her journey. She then sees things through from start to finish, and does not give up until she achieves her goal. In this way, she is also an awesome leader to her pal, Boots.

How does this relate to home business? Whether you are searching for a business idea, starting a new business, or already have your own business, adventure is involved. It can be both exciting and scary at the same time. It can feel like you are exploring an unknown land. As a
result, you will come across challenging situations and even be fearful at times. But whether you succeed or fail, will depend on if you let these situations control you or you instead take control of them. As well, being able to get past your fears will allow you to accomplish things you never thought possible. And once you get past the challenges and fears, you will find yourself on many journeys. As the saying goes, life is a journey and not a destination. To me, this means that life
stops having meaning when you feel that you have "arrived." Business is all about learning and growing. In order to grow, you need to be able to set goals so you know what you want to achieve with your business. This will allow you to evaluate whether you are advancing or not. It is also necessary to be an effective leader to others that work with you. You all want to work towards accomplishing a common goal.

BOOTS - He is Dora's loyal sidekick. He is also her support team, and provides input to Dora on situations. He does not complain about the task that lies ahead. He shares a common goal and vision with Dora.

How does this relate to home business? In business, you want to find someone who is there for you every step of the way. You want someone who is willing to travel the extra mile with you, even during difficult times. You want that person to lift you up instead of dragging you down. Therefore, it is important to associate with like-minded people who share common interests and goals. For example, it does not make sense to seek the advice of someone who is not where you want to be in life.

SWIPER - He is the mischievous fox that is always trying to keep Dora and Boots from reaching their goals. Swiper is sneaky. He sneaks up suddenly when they least expect him, and tries to foul up their plans.

How does this relate to home business? Swiper represents all the things that can go wrong when you have your own business. Many people give up and never realize their goals and dreams. That is because there are mischievous people, who are like Swiper the Fox, who get in the way. They want to see you fail, and will say and do anything to keep you from getting ahead. It is known as "crab-in-the-bucket mentality." One crab is trying to get out of the bucket, and all the other crabs in that same bucket keep pulling that one crab down. In addition to mischievous people, you will also run into challenging situations that occur when you least expect them. The difference between success and failure though, is how you deal with all of these people and the situations that arise.

In summary, Dora, Boots, and Swiper can teach adults a lot about home business. So the next time your children ask you to sit down with them to watch a television program, do so. You just never know what other business pointers you might learn!

Is Making Money Online As Easy As It Sounds?

By Carol King

According to many websites and advertisements making money online is very easy to do. It seems that wherever one turns these days someone is trying to convince the masses how easy it is to earn an extra income. If you are a subscriber to a newsletter you will no doubt have received many emails from the gurus telling you that this product or that software is the next best thing to owning your own atm.

Terms like `avalanche of cash,' `floods of traffic' and `mountains of moolar' are thrown around like Frisbees. Unfortunately there are hundreds of people out there who see these ads and fall for the million dollar sales copy. The so-called gurus make it sound so easy it seems so simple. Spend a few minutes in any marketing forum and you will see dozens of people complaining about how they signed up for this or that program a week ago and want to know why they have not made enough money to retire yet.

So who's to blame for the 95% failure rate of online businesses? The old saying (There are two sides to every story) definitely applies here. Lets break it down into to categories.

The Consumers

These are the regular Joes looking for ways to make extra money. One of the reasons for the high failure rate is attitude. It may sound like an over simplification of a large problem but the evidence is clear. The average person surfing online wants to make money. In these times the modern culture is one of impatience. We know what we want and we want it now! Consequently if someone is ordering a burger they want it to their required standard as quickly as possible and unfortunately many people feel the same about starting an online business.

More often than not the attitude adopted is all-wrong from the start. Therefore the reason for failure is not that the business does not work, it's the owner that does not work. The business owner went into the program with the wrong attitude i.e. expecting to be turning a profit within a couple of weeks so the work needed to grow the business was not put in. Almost everything else in life comes so quickly it is expected that profiting from a business will happen quickly as well.

The Marketers

There are far too many unscrupulous so-called marketers online literally lying through there teeth to make money. These are the guys that exaggerate beyond all comprehension. All over the Internet ads that claim you can make ($1000 in the next fifteen minutes) can be seen. These are the few that make it difficult for the majority by making promises that they cannot possibly keep.

Thankfully not all marketers are the same and the good do outweigh the bad. There are those who try to educate people as well as market to them. Educating consumers is vital. Any good marketers understands that it is imperative to get their visitors to fully understand what they will be getting into when they begin their businesses.

So. Who really is to blame for the high failure rate of Internet marketers? Honestly the fault lies with both consumers and markers. Building a strong profitable online home business takes time and a great deal of work. Do not fall for the hype. If it were that easy everyone would be rich and getting sun tanned on private secluded beaches.

If you are looking for ways to earn money fast, do not look online. Internet marketing is an industry just like any other, it must be learnt before it can be applied. If you are not willing to take the time and money needed to learn then it is not for you. Oh yes, money, do not think because a business is online it will be free to start-up and maintain. No business online will last without advertising. There are some great free ways to get exposure but at the same time there are some advertising techniques that are extremely powerful but costly.

The key to starting a business is to do some research, get as much information as possible before joining or parting with your money. Most importantly understand that becoming successful takes time, perseverance, determination and just a little luck.

Email Marketing As A Form Of Internet Marketing

By Michael Molloy

When it comes to internet marketing when you are working at home there are a variety of ways to reach potential customers. One of these methods is by way of email marketing. Email marketing is a form of internet marketing that works very well. Email marketing is cost effective and it is a way of being creative and innovative with your audience. Let's take a look at the five steps to making email marketing work for your home-based business.

Step one is to cultivate as many names of prospective customers as you can as well as email addresses and from here you can start to build an email list. As time goes on you may be able to gather more information from those who show an interest in your business. As well encourage individuals to become a part of your email list from the website you created especially for
your business.

Step two is to devise a plan by establishing what goals you have for working from home. What do you wish to accomplish by way of email marketing? In most cases it is to have good communication and rapport with customers and clients but pinpoint for yourself exactly what your goals are.

Step three is to decide how often you will send out emails and on what days. Many companies find that email marketing is very effective on a weekly basis. Experiment by sending emails out on different days of the week and at different times of the day and pay attention to the responses you get. For example send an email on Thursday morning or Saturday evening or Tuesday afternoon. You decide the frequency just don't make it too often but don't let too much time elapse between each email to customers either.

Step four involves choosing the format as well as what content you will send out to interested parties. An online newsletter is a conventional form of internet marketing that works well but so is other things such as announcements about your at home business, updates during the holidays, coupon promotions and special-offer promotions.

Step five is a very easy one- have fun with what you have created. Working at home is an endeavour that should open doors and should bring you much joy. As a form of internet marketing, email marketing should be fun. If you like share drawings and photos of yourself and your family with your subscribers and educate your customers about your home-based business. Talk about whatever you feel is relevant and will keep your customers coming back for more.

Ebooks And Growing Residual Income

By Scott Lindsay

From a consumer's point of view the cost of ebook purchases are undeniably less expensive than their paper counterpart. Many of these ebooks can be downloaded to portable devices allowing consumers to read the material virtually anywhere they go.

Mainstream publishers have caught the vision and have provided several high profile titles as ebook downloads. Some established authors are testing the waters by making new titles available exclusive by ebook download. This very action helps us understand the belief that ebooks may well be the maverick future of publishing.

Whether you have a work that is non-fiction and knowledge-based or a work of fiction, the self-distribution of your manuscript as an ebook allows you the greatest return on investment while giving you maximum control over the creative direction of your manuscript.

Another benefit comes in the worldwide availability of the ebook. You do not have to worry about the book making it to brick and mortar stores because it can be purchased and downloaded by anyone with an Internet connection.

Some authors have moved forward with traditional publishing techniques and find they either lose some control over the direction of the manuscript or, if they self-publish, they are saddled with significant upfront costs as well as warehousing issues.

The development of an ebook is a fraction of the cost of self-publishing while enabling the author to receive similar or greater returns.

The use of an ebook reseller allows you to release your creative work and permit someone else the opportunity to resell your work and account for the payment of all downloads. It should be noted there is typically a fee associated with this service, but for many, the hands-free nature of the service makes it an attractive proposition.

This situation also provides a means of moving forward with new manuscripts without the need to deal with managing the sale and distribution of your completed works.

Ebooks have become a solid means of achieving home-based business success. There are reports of many successful ebook businesses that have supplied their owners with enough money to pay the majority of their monthly bills without the need for constant oversight. Essentially these entrepreneurs are finding ebooks are a perfect compliment to other passions or interest these owners may have in business.

Many web-based entrepreneurs have discovered that income derived from a residual source (like ebook sales) is a prime component to a feeling of freedom when there is a need to take some time away from a home-based business.

Business Angels For Your Startup Business

By Carolyn Clayton

Setting up a new business can be a daunting prospect. There's the possibility of failure, and with it, the risk of losing the money you've invested in your company, as well as seeing all your months or even years of hard work go to waste. But, there's truth in the old saying, "nothing ventured, nothing gained." The biggest rewards accrue to those who not only have a vision for their business, but also are prepared to see it through and have the courage of their convictions.

Nonetheless, it can be hard finding sources of funding for a new business. In many cases, finding a business angel may be your best bet for sourcing capital to start up a new company. But, let's have a look at some of the other options available to you.

First and most obvious, you may have the available funds yourself. Depending on the level of risk, you may not feel comfortable dipping into your savings to fund a new business; this is a decision you will have to consider long and hard. However, if you feel able to use some of your savings to finance a startup, then so much the better.

Another option is to borrow money from family or friends. If you're doing this, the best and fairest way to get them on board is as investors, making sure that they have the chance to share in your success - but also warning them of the potential pitfalls. Make sure they are clear on the nature of the risk they are undertaking - many friendships have been broken down the years due to money. It's often a good idea to put your agreement in writing, just so there is absolutely no misunderstanding further down the line about the terms on which you borrowed the money. It's up to you to be honest about your chances of success and to give them all the information they need.

The second major type of financing is acquired by taking out a standard loan. This may be from your bank or another lender, and can include bank loans, overdraft facilities, or credit cards. Taking out one or several loans is not a bad idea, but you must make sure you're not taking on more debt than you can afford to repay.

Take a careful look at repayment terms and interest rates, and make sure you're getting the best possible deal before signing anything. Even if your fledgling business is doing well, excessive loan repayments can be a heavy drag on your profits, so do the sums beforehand, and make sure you can afford to repay the debt even in a worst-case scenario. You might also want to think about remortgaging your house, or other investment properties you may own. The same rules apply; make sure you don't take on more debt than you can afford to repay. Taking out a large loan or remortgage can force you to make an honest appraisal of your business plan; sometimes it can be just the reality check you need.

If you don't have any equity with which to take out a loan, then there is another option, called the Small Business Loan Guarantee scheme; it's a business loan 75% guaranteed by the
Government. You are required to contribute just 25% of the security, so this is an excellent option for anyone who doesn't have a huge amount of capital with which to set up their small business. However, it's worth noting that these loans do have an administration fee attached, and the rate of interest is normally relatively high - some 1.5 to 2.0% higher than base rate.

How To Protect Yourself From Computer Hacking

By Joe Goertz

When the internet became the main source for information in the world, there have been those that have sought to gain illegal profit from such things. This is the way of the world and people all over the world are now the target of the many computer hackers that are around. Unlike the bulk of people who are living in the virtual world, these hackers seek to gain access to the personal and private information that one has stored on their computer.

With this information they will work to steal money, and the identity of the person. This is all done without having to leave the home and can be performed with a vast knowledge of how computers work. Many people believe that this sort of crime will never happen to them and that is not the case. The hackers of the world are very clever and work to make sure that they have access to the entire bulk of information on the internet and ways to use that information to their benefit.

The most common form of hacking is the password grabber. With this form you get a program that works to guess the password that you have set up on the many protected areas of the web. Lets say that you do all of your banking online and your bank protects your account by way of a username and password. The hackers will gain access to the user name in one way or another, most often by an intercepted email over a server that is not encrypted. With that they can then put into operation a password program that will guess hundreds of different combinations every hour until the machine has discovered the password.

They will then gain access to your bank and promptly drain it. The best way to protect yourself against such theft is to make sure that you use a password that is not specific to you, such as your birthday, and also make sure that it contains numbers along with the letters. The password software will not be able to gain access because it can only guess either letters or numbers, not a combination of both because the choices are way too vast to compute.

The other most common form of hacking is the direct email scam. These are often times referred to as spoof emails. The email will come in looking very official and proper from a company that you have an account with. Then the email will most likely tell you that your account has been suspended and you need to login to correct the problem. It will instruct you to click on a link to login and will take you to a page that looks exactly like the actual company page. Once you login you have given the hacker all of your account information.

The way to protect yourself in this case is to make sure that you are getting the email from the company. Most often you will find that these companies will never ask you to follow a link to login and they will never ask for your information in an email or other communication. Forward the emails to the company so they can start to track the problem and maybe shut the hackers down before someone falls victim.

The Internet's Biggest Myth - Do You Believe It?

By Ben Holmes

We run across it all the time - and it is perfectly fitted to our greed.

The myth of easy wealth, Lazy Man's wealth, 'An hour a day' wealth, and so forth. This so perfectly matches our vision of what life should be, and because of this, it has the power to suck many people into its vision.

Very few marketers are capable of putting together a winning campaign based on telling you the truth - that making money on the Internet is going to take effort, knowledge, money, and time. Who would pay you to tell you how difficult it truly is? People want easy solutions, not someone telling them how likely it will be that they will fail!

Some marketers even feed on the 'back-end' of this myth... selling to people who've discovered that it's not quite as easy as they thought - with a new myth: You just haven't learned the 'simple trick' that those rich guys are hiding from you. This new myth feeds not only on the original greed, but on another powerful concept - envy.

Most people tend to lose sight of the basics of money. Money is nothing more than a convenient way to trade work.

If I'm a farmer, I don't want to trade my hard won grains or vegetables to someone who has sat on a couch all day long while he was out in the field working. He wants to trade his hard work for someone who is equally willing to work hard - perhaps to the carpenter who can fix his barn.

Society has also figured out a way for the poet to get his food, even if the farmer is illiterate. This is one of the secondary functions of money, to provide a way to gain the labor of others even if they don't directly benefit from your labor.

Now while I'm sure that there are some fancy-pants economists who are now engaged in laughter over my overly simplistic monetary concepts - it's time that someone states the simple truth - there is a meaning for money, and if you don't understand it, how do you expect to master it?

Why do people think that they can command the free labor of others? Of course, I perfectly realize the power that such an idea has - it's a very hypnotic idea... "Free" is such a powerful concept, and Internet marketers make the most of it! More power to 'em, I say - if you don't realize what you're spending your money on, then you simply don't value your own labor very highly. Nothing wrong with that - your money is yours to do with what you will...

But don't imagine that everyone feels that way. There's nothing you can purchase on the Internet that will instantly transform you into a millionaire. This is a lesson that many people learn only after spending for dream after dream. (The lottery works this way too!)

Now, are there smart ways to earn money? Certainly! One of the best concepts that can easily be applied on the Internet is the "work once, paid often" idea. Write an info product, and you'll spend time and effort doing so - but you'll sell the same "work" over and over again. Quite a bit different from getting paid to sell an automobile... after all, if you want to get paid -again-, you have to sell another automobile.

But this idea that you must have your own product, or that you must provide services (as an advertiser, for example) to someone else who holds a product, seems to get lost in the shuffle. Keep this concept in mind - if you want to earn money on the Internet - you must have labor to trade for it. Is it the labor of knowledge put into an infoproduct? Or the ability to put together a new service on the net? What- ever it may be - it's not the dreams that many marketers are selling you these days on the Internet.

Home Business Ideas Simply Need Germination

By Christos Varsamis

In order to be successful with a home business ideas will have to be new and innovative and in order for that to happen, your approach will have to innovative as well. There are many businesses out there offering opportunities for a home business, and while many be be good opportunities, the tried and true opportunities may be reaching their peak.

Carefully review your knowledge and abilities and determine what you do well and how it can be turned into a home business. Whether it will be strictly an online business or one, which is based from your home but you travel to meet with clients, your abilities will have to shine through any other aspect of running the home business.

For example, you are really good with your video camera, and have the technical knowledge, you could start a home business producing video podcasts for businesses. While most businesses will be really good at what they do, unless they are a video production studio, they may not have the knowledge to produce a video about their business or a new product. With the continued growth of video in advertising, opening a business's website with a promotional video can bring them added attention and being able to produce that video can bring you big business.

The company may not have the financial resources to hire one of the large production companies, but if you have taken and edited videos of weddings, which turned out well, it is one home business in a growing field you may want to consider.

In your spare time you may want to become an expert on internet marketing. Once you believe you know more than most businesses, open a home business offering internet marketing for websites. Most service-related companies will rely on internet marketing as most do not have a website, but those that do are always looking for ways to boost their internet presence.

If you are good at building websites, you might want to contact some of the service businesses. While a website may not produce any sales as a direct result, their internet presence that offer some company information could be used to let potential customers learn about the business and the owner before paying them a visit or making a call.

If you enjoy working in your wood shop in the basement, you should consider making some small crafts and selling them at flea markets and craft fairs. If you make special projects, have one display with signs indicating you take special orders. Be sure to have plenty of business cards to hand out. Cards can also be a niche for a home business. Connect with a local printer who can take your ideas and produce economical business cards and sell them to other vendors at the craft shows that you attend.

Aren't You Ready To Work At Home?

By Marilyn Katz

I'm not sure what my neighbors think, though I know they cast odd looks at me. They know I'm a single mom with kids to support, and they see me leave every morning to drop my kids off at school. However, as soon as I have my children distributed at their various schools, I turn right around and come home. My car sits parked in the driveway, and I leave for a few hours a week just to run an errand or meet friends for lunch. I am not wealthy, and I did not inherit money or receive a giant alimony settlement! I am responsible for supporting myself, and my kids in a decent neighborhood by good schools.

However, I was just determined to find a job or business I could perform from home, and after lots of work, trying many different things, I can finally say that I support myself from my home business!

It wasn't always this way. I used to scramble around the house before daylight, looking for paired socks and attempting to shove breakfast in my kids so we could get packed up for before
school care. Any interruption could almost reduce me to tears because I had to get them sqared away so I could begin an hour long commute to my own desk. My employer expected my to arrive by 8:00 a.m. Of course, I seldom met that expectation.

After work, I needed to be the first one out the door so I could beat traffic and arrive at after school care before it closed. Then, after a day of work, and a long commute, I could come home and attempt to come up with a balanced and satisfying meal, get my kids started on their homework, and make sure I had laid out things we would need for the next morning.

I felt like I was struggling to accomplish three people's jobs, and I didn't feel like I could give any area of my life the attention it deserved.

This may not describe your life. You may be one of those superwomen who thrive on activity from pre-dawn until post-dusk. Or you may have lots of support from family, so you aren't on your own. Maybe you won your state lottery! However, I think the situation that I had was very common. It is more common with single parents, but from my experience, one parent can find herself or himself with a huge share of the responsibility in married couples too.

Millions of people work at home now. Believe it or not, Apple Computers and Hewlett Packard were started in garages. Some individuals manage to work a deal to telecommute for their present employer, while job seekers are always looking for flexible job arrangements. Others take the route that I concentrated on, and begin their own business that can be
worked out of a home office. These days, you really only need a computer, telephone, and maybe a fax machine.

Online selling sites like EBay and Amazon have made it possible for many people to begin their own business on a shoestring. Others do affiliate marketing, or perform free lance work for companies who ask for it. Some job boards concentrate on finding recognized employers who are looking for employers or freelancers to work from their own home office. I researched and tested working at home, until I finally came up with the perfect fit for me!

Why You Need To Have A Membership Site

By Gray Rollins

You need a membership site of your own. You may never have thought of having your own membership site, but it is a strong customer attractant and is in some ways easier than the typical affiliate sites.

Building the customer list is a goal of affiliate marketers. Having a membership site is a great way to get that list built up fast. A list is basically what a membership site is made up of- people who are interested and want to come back again to see what is offered. People can join the site for several different reasons. They may want a newsletter you are offering, they may be happy to get several things they want all in one convenient place, or they may just love the font you use. Whatever the reason they join, the members can be charged a small monthly fee to keep getting access to what you have to offer. This will generally include articles, services available to them, some type of customer service for questions ad problems, and a forum to tie it all together.

Meeting your monthly income goals becomes much easier when there is a steady stream of paying members each month. That can be in addition to your affiliate sales, or it can be used in place of them. Some affiliate marketers find that they enjoy building their membership site more than trying to keep several different affiliate sales sites going. A membership site is a brand, and can be marketed more easily than several smaller sites.

Some membership sites also use their own affiliate marketing programs to attract new members. A commission or a flat fee is given to members who bring in new paying members. That can also be accomplished by simply waiving part of the membership fee for members that recruit. This costs the site owner nothing and brings in new members at a exponential rate. Using a system such as this, getting large membership numbers can be done more quickly and with less expense.

Membership sites are also a safe way to protect against sales slumps. A month with low sales will be cushioned by a steady income of monthly membership fees. And if there is a problem with your smaller sites, such as a loss of search engine rankings or a product that bites the dust, the larger site is there to step in and make up for that loss in income.

There are also free membership sites that set up the same basic format, but try to attract more members by not charging fees. The income with those sites is in getting the largest list possible to market to in the hopes of sales. A free membership site may not bring in the membership fees, but it will likely attract more members. Whether you want to charge to enter your own web kingdom or not, having a membership site is a strong marketing technique that can help brand your information and your products.

Third Party Credit Card Processors

By Debbie Dragon

If you're a small business or just starting out, you may not feel ready for a merchant account. Obtaining a merchant account is not usually considered difficult, however, for a newly established business it isn't always feasible to run out and a merchant account immediately. Starting a business is often costly and risky to begin with- you do not need to go out and spend money on optional features (like a merchant account) until you know whether or not your business is going to succeed, and whether or not you'll have the need to accept credit cards from customers.

Did you know there are other options and alternative methods for allowing your customers to pay you with credit cards? Companies called "third party credit card processors" do not require their customers to create merchant accounts, and yet they can be used to allow small or new businesses the ability to accept credit card payments from customers.

Why Worry about Accepting Credit Cards at All?

It's important that you are able to accept credit card payments from customers, however, even if you aren't feeling up to getting a traditional merchant account right now. It's been proven that businesses that except credit cards experience higher sales than those that do not accept credit cards. In fact, some companies have reported an increase of 50 to 400% in sales once they began accepting credit cards as a payment method. It also helps to establish a professional image- and for some potential consumers, it generates a feeling of trust ("If the business is established enough to accept credit cards, they're a quality business that I should shop with!").

Home based businesses and online businesses can take advantage of a third party credit card processor instead of going directly with a merchant account if they wanted to. It allows a business to determine how many customers will make purchases with credit cards, as well as determine if more or higher sales come as a result of accepting credit cards as payments.

A third party credit card processor offers real-time processing online, online virtual terminals for entering manual transactions, no maximum limits for processing amounts in most cases, and the ability to set up recurring billing.

One of the advantages of using a third party credit card processor over establishing a merchant account is that instead of paying a transaction fee or a monthly fee, you pay a percentage of the sales (from 2% to 15%), and only when you actually make sales. Some merchant account providers require that you pay a monthly fee- even if you aren't making any credit card sales. By starting out with a third party credit card processor, you can judge how many customers might use the option to pay with credit cards before you go through the process of applying for a merchant account and getting everything set up.

How do third party payment processors work?

Once you have an account with a third party payment processor, you'll create links to your products that allow customers to order and pay with credit. The links send the customer to the
third-party processing company's server, and they handle the orders for you. Payments are processed by the company, and the sales are credited to your own business- less the third party processor's commission. You receive your money from the third party processing company at established payment intervals. Typically, money owed to you from the third party credit card
processing company is deposited automatically into a checking or savings account that you have set up for your business and linked to your account with the third party processor.

How Do You Grab A Top-Selling Product And Put It To Work In Your On-Line Business?

By Casey Moher

Hi, this is Casey Moher.

To have a successful online business, many individual components must come together to work as a machine. Let's discuss how you go about creating ( or finding) and evaluating a product you can sell online.

Website owners who create their own products to sell have much of work ahead of them. On-line marketers who wish to develop their own product must research the demand for what they envision.

This can also be done with a very different strategy and approach. This is an approach that makes all the difference in what you do.

You are miles ahead of the game RIGHT NOW because you have available to you products you can work with that sell like hotcakes! With these methods I am describing, you have all the product research done before you ever begin. The choice is yours as to which product of the thousands available you would like to have.

People today want information that can improve their income, their free-time activities, travel, education and a myriad of other areas. You now have available a huge on-line warehouse of these products.

These products are managed by a company that does the lion's share of selling in this massive market. The producers of these information-based products actively seek to have people sell them.

Your commissions can range from 50% to 75%.

Again, all the 'heavy lifting' has been done for you. The fun part is in choosing a product that interests you and that you feel will do the best job for you. These are the considerations I use as guidelines for product selection.

Choose a product that solves a problem. It is also critical that you select a product you would use. A product with a great sales letter will serve you better also. Look for testimonials from satisfied customers as well as popularity rankings of the product you are considering.

Also, pay attention to the commission schedule provided for you.

Buying and using the product that will be sold on your website makes for better results all around. If you have first-hand experience with how your product helped you, your customers will have more trust in what you say.

A company that does all this can be found in one stop at:
http://www.clickbank.com

Spend some time at this website so you can appreciate the products available to you for your use. At this site, you will also find rankings of all products so you can locate the best ones.

Becoming an affiliate is a very easy matter. Once you are set up as an affiliate, you are qualified to receive a commission on each sale you are credited for. You simply register to get a user name (also known as a nickname) established with clickbank.

With that nickname you are established to get credit for all the sales of any and all products that you choose for your project. More than 10,000 products are yours from which to choose.

Remember, commissions run as high as 75%! Clickbank is noted for its very sellable products which means they amplify your marketing efforts.

Clickbank also manages all partner relationships for you. You
always get paid what you're owed.

For a very reasonable price these days, you can get your own website established. You can get visitors to your site as soon as it's ready where they can learn about the product you have chosen for them to buy.

To Do List Draining You? How to Brighten Up the Tasks You Dread

By Bonnie McFarland

Vampire Tasks

Everyone has at least one of them. Something you hate to do. Something you dread. You procrastinate about it or do your best to avoid it. When you have to do it you get crabby about it.

What is it for you? Your staff meeting? Traveling for business? Working with a particular client or co-worker? Dealing with computer problems? Doing your expense report? Performance reviews?

Whatever it is, it's a "vampire task" -- something that drains your energy.

But You Have to Do It

Most of the time my focus with clients is on the fun stuff -- what lights them up, what they love, what they want, what energizes and enlivens them and how to do more of that.

When we do identify a task that's draining them, we look long and creatively about how they could stop doing it, delegate it, or hire it out.

Sometimes though there are tasks they choose to keep doing, at least for now.

It could be temporary. Like a woman starting her own business who dislikes accounting. As soon as she has enough income she'll hire a part-time accountant. In the meantime, she is the accountant, whether or not she enjoys it.

It could be something longer lasting. For instance, in most companies if you're a manager you'll need to do performance reviews, whether or not you enjoy them.

Taxes Wiped Me out

Yep, for me taxes were a big energy drain. I hated doing them. Just the anticipation of doing them made me unhappy. Even though Dave, our accountant, did all the work of preparing our taxes, I still dreaded pulling together the information for him. Each year it took me two or three days and a lot of misery.

I do recognize we always have choices. And I did have choices about the taxes.

I could have just stopped doing them. But I wasn't too keen about the IRS knocking on my door looking for those unpaid taxes. I could have asked my husband to do our taxes. But I thought he might be even unhappier than I was about doing this task.

Yes, I did have other choices. And doing it myself seemed my best choice.

Now you might think I was doomed. Forever chained to miserable days in my office gathering information for my accountant. But you might also realize if that were the case there wouldn't be much of a point to this story.

And the point is I found a way to ease my tax misery.

Solution: The Taxes Strategy

A few months after I learned about making choices based on my lights -- what energizes and enlivens me -- tax season rolled around once again.

This time I was determined to find a way to do the taxes without draining my energy. So I looked at what I knew about what lit me up and I added some of that to my tax task.

I put on music I loved. I lit a candle that had a delicious fragrance. Depending on the time of day, I sipped a glass of wine. I asked my husband to bring something to do and just sit in my office while I worked on the taxes. I also spent just a couple of hours at a time on them, rather than powering my way through as I'd done in the past.

And it worked!

Now I must admit taxes still aren't the most fun thing I do. And they don't drain my energy in the way they used to.

You can apply my "taxes strategy" to your own draining tasks: incorporate things that light you up. Do this before, during, and/or after the task. My clients tell me this simple strategy makes a significant difference in their energy.

Some Ways to Brighten Up a Dull Task

Here are a few ways my clients have created more energy around the tasks that drain them:

* Bookending the task: doing something fun before and after.

* Changing the location: going to some place they love to do the task

* Changing the conditions: music, candles, food, drink, lighting

* Involving other people: to be with them, to do the task with them

One story I can't resist sharing: a client, unhappy doing the bills, asked her husband to join her and then paid the bills topless! I'm not saying I recommend this and she says it worked for them!

In Your Life

1) Pick something that drains and de-energizes you.

2) Ask yourself if it's something you can stop doing, delegate, or hire someone to do. If so, great! Do whichever one of those strategies will work. If not, go to step #3.

3) Experiment with doing two or three things that light you up (before, during and/or after that draining task) until you find what will make your experience less draining and more enjoyable.

The examples above of what my clients have done may give you some ideas. The key is choosing things that light YOU up, that YOU love, that are energizing and enlivening for YOU.

Enjoy!

If You Build It: An Ebook Portal

By Scott Lindsay

Did you know that you could resell ebooks that others have published? Did you know that you could often sell the work for less than the original author? Did you know you don't have to know how to write to start an ebook business?

In an agreement that is very similar to that of an affiliate you can retain the rights to resell a wide selection of ebooks that can produce several hundred dollars in net profit each month. I suppose what makes this venture popular with home-based businesses is that the hands-free nature of the business can allow them to work on other business projects while residual income is produced through ebook sales.

The benefit of reselling ebooks has to do with the ability to provide a selection of titles that appeal to a wide range of consumers. In some scenarios you can sell a personal ebook if you have one, but the primary sales will be through the reselling of other titles.

Why would authors allow you to resell their work when it's already for sale on the web?

The reasoning has everything to do with marketing and visibility. Essentially you become a part of the sales force for the book - one more store in a chain selling the ebook. By creating additional websites that make the book available the hope is the volume of ebook downloads will allow the ebook to provide increased revenue for all involved.

It is likely an ebook reselling business will not provide enough revenue to make it a viable stand-alone business, but it can provide a significant residual income that can reduce the overall burden of a home-based business startup.

Ebook reselling is one of the few examples of a home-based business that requires very little maintenance while continuing to allow for potential income even when you are away from the office. The automated shopping cart process and file download can all be managed without your direct involvement.

The overall dynamic of ebook sales is a potential boon to the publishing industry because it provides proof that a new distribution method is not only possible, it is also valued and a cost effective alternative. The end result is a quick start up for authors, publishers, and home-based businesses. For the consumer, immediate access to these ebooks from any location on the globe is a benefit traditional publishers can not always promise.

The many benefits of reselling ebooks make it a home-based business worth looking into as a supplement to an existing job or as a sideline for an existing entrepreneurial effort.

Got A Busy Life? You Need A Home Based Business!

By Saburo Yoshida

These days just about everybody needs more money. Gas prices are high and going higher, interest rates keep inching up, prescription and insurance rates are hitting new records, and the cost of raising a child is triple what it was when we were kids.

Add to that, jobs aren't what they used to be. Studies show one worker is now doing what three workers were expected to do 20 years ago. You work your fingers to the bone and all for pay that never seems to improve. Your average corporate job now requires 60 hours of work per week, stagnant pay, and little chance of longterm stability.

If any of this sounds familiar to you -- and for millions of us it should -- YOU are exactly the kind of person who needs their own home-based business.

Running a business out of your house or apartment is the perfect way to earn plenty of extra cash. Usually your overhead is almost nonexistent (no office rent, employees, or additional utilities) and often you can deduct from your taxes everything from part of your mortgage payment to other house-hold expenses.

"That sounds GREAT!" you say, "but I've got to keep working my job. I hardly have time to sit down, much less run my own business!"

Don't worry. These days big advances in automated marketing, outsourced selling, and automatic product delivery mean you can literally run your home-based business in your sleep. I know people running these kinds of business who are earning thousands per week while working as little as a few minutes per week. All they do is check their sales statistics and pull their checks out of the mailbox.

Here's how it works:

Modern search engine marketing pulls in huge numbers of targeted prospects to state of the art web sites. These sites educate the prospect and send the best to a professional sales team who separate the real business builders from the tire-kickers. Only then, when the sales team has pre-sold the customer, are these folks delivered to you. They're raring to go and want to buy or join your program NOW!

With this kind of system you can sell your existing products or service OR simply sell the system to others. I typically earn several thousand dollars per sale.

And that brings us to the next point. This kind of very advanced marketing and sales program can easily sell high-priced products. Instead of getting little one and two dollar commissions like most MLM, direct sales, and affiliate programs offer, you earn thousands per sale.

Best of all, you do very little work with this kind of advanced system. You don't need special training, ability, or even much money to get started. You simply turn on the switch, sit back, and watch the cash roll in.

Years go this might have been too good to be true, but today's completely automated home-based businesses are the real thing. And they're coming at a time when millions of people world-wide could make very good use of them.

Home Business Dream Can Turn Into Nightmare

By Dustin Cannon

Many people refer to operating a home business as having a dream job, but unless you are prepared for some of the common pitfalls it can quickly become a nightmare. It makes no difference the type of business you are operating there are some issues that are common to all of them, mostly regarding your self-discipline and the understanding of others that can ruin a perfectly good opportunity.

First, you will need to realize that although you are at home you are still at work. Every time you get the urge to take care of some household chore you need to think of yourself as not really being at home and whatever that shore is will have to wait until the end of your workday. The same is true for family and friends who believe that since you are at home, you have the time to do whatever they feel is important.

It will not take long for you to lose focus quickly on your home business job, which usually leads to failure, if you allow outside influences to adjust your work attitude. Being able to conduct your business with the understanding that location is irrelevant, and the job must be completed. It may help to retain any routine you had prior to starting your home business and had to leave the house every day.

You will need to establish a work schedule, allowing time for breaks and lunch, and then go to your office and get your work done. At first the tendency may be to enjoy some of that freedom to set your own hours, but when the rest of the family is counting on you to be home from work and you are still sitting in the office, the luster of having a home business may start to fade.

Home Based Business: Your Ultimate Tax Shelter

By Stephen Pope

Starting and operating your own home based business is the ultimate tax shelter.

Although this article has been written from a Canadian income tax perspective, the principles should be practical in other tax jurisdictions.

1. Non-Deductible Personal Living Expenses

All of us have expenses that we incur in everyday living.

Either you rent an apartment or house or you own your residence. Utilities, insurance, rent, mortgage interest, property taxes, and maintenance and repairs are typical costs of operating your home.

Likely, you have a vehicle which also consumes large amounts of cash.

Add to this, dining out, entertainment, gifts, alcoholic beverages, office supplies, telephone and many other expenditures, and you have a significant cash outflow.

In most cases, as an employee, retired person, investor, student, or homemaker, few of these expenses are tax-deductible to you.

This means that you must earn a considerable income, pay your income taxes first, and then use what is left to pay all your expenses.

Some employees may be able to write-off some of their employment related expenses, if such are required by their contract of employment. However, even in this situation, the tax deductions are very limited.

2. Your Own Home Based Business Means Tax Deductions

Now consider the situation where you decide to start your own home based business.

Suddenly, many of your everyday expenses are now being used for business purposes and are now tax-deductible.

If you use one quarter of your home exclusively for business use, you will be able to deduct (or write-off) one quarter of all related occupancy costs. These expenses may include maintenance and repairs (that are not capital in nature), rent, mortgage interest, house or apartment insurance, power, heat, water, and property taxes.

As well, your vehicle expenses used for business purposes are another tax write-off. If you use your car ninety percent for business purposes, you can deduct ninety percent of your vehicle insurance, gas and oil, maintenance and repairs, car washes, license and registration, auto club, loan interest (within certain limits), and other costs from your income. You may also write-off one hundred percent of your business related parking. Capital Cost Allownance (C.C.A.) on your vehicle is also allowed for income tax purposes; depreciation is the accounting term for this tax deduction.

The Canadian government also allows as a deduction, fifty percent of your business related entertainment expenses.

Also tax-deductible are business related telephone expenses, Internet access, office supplies, travel, books, memberships, and a host of other expenditures.

3. Income Splitting with Your Home Based Business

If you have a high paying job, you will pay higher taxes because the rates of tax increase as your income does.

With your own business, you can pay reasonable wages to your spouse and children. In this way, you can legally divert income taxed at your higher rate to your family members that are in a lower tax bracket.

This tax saving technique is called income splitting. It is another good reason why your own home based business is the ultimate tax shelter.

4. Even a Part-Time Home Based Business Works

Even if you have a full-time job, running a part-time business can be advantageous.

Of course, you must actually run a real, moneymaking business. Any attempts to write unprofitable hobbies off will ultimately fail with the taxation authorities.

If you earned eight thousand dollars during the year from your part-time business and were able to deduct eight thousand dollars in car expenses, home office expenses, entertainment costs, office supplies, and other business related expenditures, you would have a net business income of nil. You would pay no tax on this additional income.

Don`t miss this important point! Although these tax deductions are actual, legitimate business expenses, these are expenditures you would probably have made anyway, whether you had a business or not.

Thus, by rearranging your affairs to start and operate a home based business, you have been able to convert non-deductible personal expenditures into legally deductible business expenses. You have successfully sheltered your income from tax and have split your income with family members in lower tax brackets.

Yes, indeed, your home based business has become your ultimate tax shelter.

Search Engines Are A Source Of Tension In An Online Home Business

By Kirk Bannerman

For a long time I have been a member of several search engine optimization forums and I have recently noticed that the stress level of many webmasters has gone way up (this is especially
true since Yahoo and MSN have decided to seriously try their hand at competing with Google in the search marketplace). This applies not only to webmasters involved in Internet-based home
businesses, but to webmasters in general.

Additionally, it seems that many people that are in the business of search engine optimization (SEO) are, with good reason, going completely bonkers. As Google came on the scene in 1998 and quickly dominated the search business, website optimization became largely a game of shooting at a single target, namely, pleasing Google...for all intents and purposes, Google became the "800 pound gorilla" of the search engine business.

Since the advent of search engines (particularly Google) spawned the whole SEO business, I guess its only fair that the search engine industry can once again turn the SEO business on its ear, and it seems now to be sort of a cat and mouse (not desktop) relationship that can get really interesting as we move forward.

Not only are there now several viable players (most notably Google, Yahoo, Microsoft and Ask Jeeves) in the search engine business, but they are all adopting different and frequently changing algorithms for determining the ranking positions for websites.

The current game is that webmasters are trying to figure out how the various search engines perform the rankings and, on the flip side, the search engines are striving to be unpredictable to those webmasters and SEO firms.

For those people using websites to promote a home based business, it can be stressful constantly trying to determine "what the search engines want" and agonizing over every downward fluctuation in rankings that their website may experience.

Looking forward in time, I think we can expect that rankings will fluctuate frequently and will not be at all consistent from one search engine to another. It will be quite common that for a particular search term a website might suffer a drop in position ranking for search engine "A" and an increase position ranking for search engine "B" at essentially the same point in time.

Rather than stressing out over every position ranking "wiggle", a better approach might be to just focus on "what do visitors to my site want?". The search engines are striving to give their users a quality (relevant) search experience and if you are focused in giving visitors to your website what they are looking for, these paths will meet somewhere down the road.

You can save yourself alot of consternation by focusing upon the needs of the website visitors you are seeking to attract, rather than chasing the frequently changing ranking algorithms of several search engines. Focus on a single target instead of chasing several moving targets at the same time.

This article pertains to natural searches only, as paid search engine advertising is a completely different situation.

Home Based Business - Steps To Success

By Jon Hancock

Ready to start your home based business?

Here's some facts that prevent most beginners from ever reaching that goal, and what you need to get started. The main question lies in the fact of whether you have what it takes to run a home based business?

Take the first steps now to starting your own business and get started right immediately. The first rule is self motivation. This is a key factor to getting started, so please don't pass it off. You must motivate yourself to take action in your life by redirecting and maintaining your attitude and ambition. What drives you to push yourself to the limit when the chance arises? Is it your family, friends, certain environments, tight schedules, love, or maybe even the initial goal on everyone's mind... Money? Whatever thrives you the most is what you need to keep your mind set on during the initial setup. This is what can destroy a vast majority of new business owners during the preparation process. Don't ever lose sight on what is pushing your ambition to rise above.

Second is about attitude and confidence. If you don't have a strong business attitude, then you will not survive in the business world. Be willing to do what it takes to succeed and don't make room for excuses. Excuses don't get the job done. If something needs to be initiated, or completed, then just do it and do it right. This is where confidence comes into play. You must be confident, but not preferably OVER-confident in your jouney to succeed. If you have absolutely no confidence in yourself, then get some fast. Everyone can have ambition to succeed given the correct incentive and measurements. Make your own destiny! Don't wait for it to knock you down when you're not looking. You can take control and decide your fate for yourselves. Ambition is locked away in everyone's mind, so whatever it is you need to unlock that particular door, get it done. Clear your head from standard issues that will prevent you from succeeding for your future.

Now, set your mind to goal setting for a minute. What we want to do here is figure out what sort of goals you're looking to get out of life. Where would you like to be right now? How much money do you want to earn every week, month, or year? Have you reached 50% of your goals yet? This is a critical step in inspiration to push your agenda further than can be imagined. Imagine for a second that all of your bills are fully paid, but don't stop there. Imagine all of your bills are paid for the next 5 years without a blink of an eye. Owning your own home, and maybe a beach house or two. Drive anything you want, because it didn't even chip your bank account to purchase it. Basically, how far do you want to go. Would this be considered greed? Absolutely! That is the reason for rapidly advancing technology, health-care drugs for longer survival and better health, and amazing opportunities that are available to the general public... which will also take us to the next step.

Money management is VERY important. If you cannot control your money, then you will need to learn better patience. Patience with money earned will keep you from losing it all, after it's
been made. Control yourself, and control your money. Set your daily/weekly/monthly budget and enforce it! If you cannot control your funds now, then start today and write a strict budget. Keep your goals in mind always, so you don't make extravagant purchases that were not necessary. If you do reach high goals and use your money accordingly with investing, or other resources, then you will have plenty of time to "throw your money around". So, be sure your budget is set and let's move on to the next step.

Research, research, research! This is probably one of the MOST important steps that you are going to take in your business planning. Do your research thoroughly and make absolutely sure
that your knowledge will cover everything you need to know. Information is the most valuable commodity and most everything you'll need to know can be easily obtained online right now. Find out exactly what you need to be happy in your life, and set your mind to it. What do you have easy access to. There may be many things right under your nose, that you will kick yourself later for not thinking about it sooner. Find out what it is you enjoy. Don't always go with what your heart tells you in business, or you may not survive. Be truthful and realistic with yourself when deciding your business. Be sure that you WILL NOT LOSE MONEY. If you LOSE money from your business, then it's pointless to start in the first place.

Figure out what you want out of life. What is your primary goal? What type of schedule do you require? You can find the easy life, if you dig deep enough.

Do you have easy access to get started right now? Be sure that you know exactly what you are plunging yourself into. "Don't sink with a ship that has a near-sighted captain". What is the history of the businesses in the particular market that you're researching and what strategies were they using. You must find out whether the profit potential is endless? ...or does it have a cap-off point as well. How much time and work is it going to take to setup and ultimately operate? Be sure to keep plenty of "you" time for yourself. You don't have to work 24 hours a day to achieve your goals. Residual income is the key to making effortless money and obtaining your rightful financial freedom. Make your business work for you, instead of the other way around. Remember, you are the driver. You have the control to stop, go, and turn things around at any given point. You can start a business for less than a hundred dollars and turn it into a multi-million dollar success. So, do your research!

Now, we can move on to scheduling your business plan. Write it, or type it, and record it. This will take some time to think over and it definitely should. You should not rush this process by any means, since it will be YOU taking the action which will result in the overall consequences or rewards. Figure out how much money you want to earn on a periodic basis, and be sure to set your goals into a progressive mode. Once you've reached this point, you will need to keep site of your goals and realize you are the ONLY one that is going to make the difference. Time is much too important to waste in any circumstances, so be very careful with your decision making performance. Always take care of your well-being. Your health always plays an important role when you are taking a new leap in life.

Take care for now and good luck finding your success!

Ezine Marketing - Get Subscribers

By Razvan Rovinaru

Nowadays there are a lot of people that begin to work from home on line and after building their website they start an Ezine as well. The question that many of them ask is how come they don't get more subscribers for their newsletter.

I'm going to talk to you about a few things you can do to get people to subscribe to your newsletter.

A good start would be getting your Ezine listed on as many newsletter directories as possible. So start submitting your newsletter to these directories even though you might think this is time consuming. If you really don't have the time to stay and submit your newsletter to Ezine directories you can always try newsletter submission services.

I recommend you go to Google, type in "Ezine Directory" and start submitting.

If you want people to subscribe, offering them something usually works best. Try to give them something free. It can be whatever you like such as an e-book, or a free report or free ad on your site. The better the things you will give them the more subscribers you will have.

It is always important to promote your newsletter. A good free way to advertise your newsletter is through your sig file or email signature. Mostly every email program allows you to add a signature file at the end of every email you send. It is usually a few lines long, so you have enough space to promote your Ezine.

By holding a contest on your website is another good way to gain subscribers. How? Well hold a contest and make it a requirement to be subscribed to your newsletter in order to participate in that contest. This usually works and gets you more signups.

Start visiting message boards and forums and begin posting on them. Write on forums you enjoy and after you make yourself credible other forum members will more than likely want to see what you have to offer. Before you post make sure you read the rules of that forum. Most forums permit you to ad a signature file when you post. This is a very valuable way through which you get traffic to your website.

A very common topic on forums is "ad swap" which brings us to the next way through which you will possibly get more subscribers to your Ezine. Swapping newsletter ads between publishers is a very common thing. You need to find a newsletter who's audience will enjoy your Ezine. Then all you need to do is ask the publisher to swap newsletter ads and you will probably receive a positive answer.

Remember though that getting a big mailing list doesn't happen over night. These are just a few tips and methods you can use to get you started in your endeavor. Remember to have good
content in your newsletter and always plant your link wherever possible. Getting your link out there is very important because this will bring you a lot of subscribers.

Real Home Based Business Opportunity - Site Promotion Tips

By Razvan Rovinaru

In this article I'm going to point out the things you should look for when you are trying to promote a website.

First you should know that this is a real home based business opportunity and that a growing number of people are starting to do this.

The first thing you should do before you get started is scout the market. Find a website you are interested in promoting and start gathering information about the products or services offered by the website. You should take your time here, because this step is really important.

The next thing you need is to choose your website name, careful what name you choose for your website. It should be something that implies or is very similar to the name of the website you want to promote. You should keep your .com domain name within 2-3 words - it is recommended that the domain name contains your major keyword, for better SE placement.

Now you can start putting together your web page. There are a few things you should look out for though. Try to keep your pages between 60-70Kb, as Google ranks this kind of pages higher. Don't use borders or tables unless they are necessary, avoid spasm such as hidden text or a keyword density bigger than 10% (this could get your site banned) etc. Make sure you have a sizable number of HTML pages before you upload and it might be a good thing to validate your web pages with something like "http://validator.w3.org/.

Now that you have your site you will need a web host. There isn't s shortage of those around so this should be such a difficult task but here are some pointers when choosing one. Look for response times and the committed up-time, check for PHP support and of course technical support and also for how long have they been in the business.

Now that you have a host, upload your web site to the web address. FTP is the most commonly used protocol for uploading web sites. After the upload, check the website and see if it works properly and all the links are functioning.

Now you can start using this real home based business opportunity to make money. Promote your web page to search engines. You should start by submitting to Google Yahoo!, DMOZ. Also you should promote to Fast, Altavista, Lycos, Hotbot or Teoma. Don't be upset if nothing happens for the first 2 months, that's the time it takes for your web site to be indexed. Bring as many backlinks to your site as possible, as this will increase link popularity and give you a higher ranking in the search engines.

Now you need to bring customers to your website. Do this by always updating the content of your web page, posting in forums, using PPC (pay per click) advertising and by exchanging
links with similar topic sites. Take your time evaluate the market and learn how to market your web site wisely, and you will get pretty soon to thousands of customers each day.

Work At Home Success

By Bobby Ryatt

The First step to Work at Home Success "Achieving the Work at Home Dream"

You can download every e-book on work at home success available and in every one they will all cover one specific topic. Work at home success comes from motivated work at home income. Every work at home e-book will tell you that without a dream or passion, your work at home success will turn into work at home failure. You have to be driven.

Working at home is a dream for many people from all walks of life. Often people have a preconceived notion as to what work at home success really means, and as they start the journey they find they wished they were better equipped before proceeding.

Working at home and making a healthy living is possible. Hundreds of thousands of people transition home to the work at home successful marketplace every year. There's no reason that with a little planning and a bit of passion you can't join them in their successful work at home endeavors.

Passion about Working at Home "Achieving the Work at Home Dream"

Passion is the first step in your work at home success. You must feel strongly motivated to bring home that paycheck in order to make it work. There will be bumps in the road that may try to dissuade you along the way, and your passion has to be prepared to take up the slack and run with it even when the road isn't so smooth.

There will be numerous roadblocks to your successful home based entrepreneurial dreams. One of the biggest roadblocks is other people. Don't expect friends and family members to support your idea. If they do, consider yourself lucky. But people are often jealous of those who put themselves out there and make successful working at home an option. Some people believe that
work at home businesses are scams and nobody can really make them successful. Do not let their words deter you. Focus on your passion and you will begin to see yourself growing and learning and reaching your milestones.

Most people never really try to find their own work at home success because they are afraid to fail. Fear of failure is a serious motivator to keep a job they hate and rely on security they've come to trust. Of course we all know there is no such thing as security any more. Some people need to believe that there is, and they will not support your work at home success. That's where your passion can bring you out ahead of the game.

Work at home e-books will tell you that your fire has be able to endure the time it takes for your successful home based entrepreneurial dreams to begin to show concrete results. It takes work in the beginning. And at first you will be working your regular job plus growing your home office into your final work space. You will be tired sometimes and there will be moments you will think about quitting. How badly you want your work at home success will determine your actions during those moments.

Motivated Work at Home Income "Achieving the Work at Home Dream"

Your motivated work at home income is based on exactly that. Any work at home e-book will tell you that motivation will get you there. As you proceed to develop your home office, you will
have to find a few basic traits within yourself to keep going. Chances are you already have them since you devised the plan to work at home in the first place. For starters, you need to believe in yourself. It is basic psychology. If you think you can do it, you can. If you believe you are wasting your time, you are. Believing in yourself is not a negative trait. Self confidence is a positive understanding that you are a capable human being able to face challenges and make good decisions. In our society, we have unflattering names for women who are self confident and hold a high belief in themselves. Tune it out. A strong belief in yourself will carry you very far as you work toward your work at home success.

Work at home success takes a bit of courage. You are still stepping out of the box even with the masses that are transitioning home to work carving the path for you. Most people in society believe working involves leaving the house and taking care of your family's financial obligations by putting in your time and working a job. Leave their opinions far behind you as you find your own work at home success.

Motivated work at home income requires discipline. Discipline has two faces. The first face is the discipline to do something every single day to help foster your work at home success, but any good work at home e-book will tell you that you also need the discipline to put it aside for a time every day as well. Becoming stressed, obsessive, or placing so much pressure on your success will only create the counter effect. Keep yourself focused on your goals without ignoring the needs of people around you. You are still entitled to vacations and day trips and special time with the family. You don't have to work it to absolute death every single day.

Motivated work at home income requires flexibility. Flexibility is of course one of the reason why you are building your work at home success to begin with. Getting there also requires flexibility. It is okay to re-evaluate your plan and adjust along the way to make your work at home success more attainable. Come to your work at home project every day with energy and determination, but notice where your actions are taking you and concentrate your focus on those things that are proving you successful. If you plan wisely and strategically, you will begin to see positive results in a fairly short period of time.

Focus on short term goals at first. Set a reasonable mark for each and every month, one that you are reasonably sure you can achieve without setting the bar too low. You want your goals to be something you can hit without killing yourself but you want them to help keep you motivated as well.

If at first you are failing at your goals, this does not mean your work at home success is out of reach for you. It just means you have to re-evaluate your plan of action and adjust. Failure is only failure if it means you walk away from your motivated desire. Learning from your mistakes makes you more likely to succeed in the long term rather than ride a short term wave of success.

Failure I no way means that the nay sayers in your life were accurate about your work at home success. It just means that you have the courage to try something different and you are entitled to a learning curve along the way. You don't have a boss breathing down your neck telling you exactly what to do and how to do it and making you re-do it if you mess it up. You have your brains, support, a few notions and a dream. You have the ability to make reasonable decisions along the way and the courage to keep chasing what can ultimately be yours.

Work at home success does not have to take years. It can be accomplished in a surprisingly short period of time. You have to maintain a passion for your business as well as your dream, but that work at home success is not elusive. It is within your reach if you simply follow a few basic guidelines like we illustrated above.

More Work at Home Success Tips "Achieving the Work at Home Dream"

Honestly, the list of guidelines and the basics to finding your own work at home success could go one forever. There is a lot to learn when making a transition from the work a day world to the
work at home program. You and your family will go through an adjustment period that may or may not be stressful. You may find that the actual day that you choose to quit your regular job and revel and grow your success is one of the scariest days of your life. This is normal.

You are not alone. You are not even close to being alone. There are hundreds of thousands of successful home based entrepreneurs that go through what you are experiencing every year, and now you can have access to their advice and their knowledge.

Website that offers hands down the most effective information for attaining your home based business success is ALLWORKATHOME. Hungering For Internet Success? Try Plug-in Profits!

By Merlin Richards

Many people are aware of the money making potential of the internet but simply don't know where to begin. After all, there is a bewildering variety of internet programs that promise people success, but are later found out to deliver failure. What most people need is a starting point; a place from which they can launch their internet career.

The Plug-In Profit System

The Plug-In Profit system was started by a man named Stone Evans. Evans, a self-made internet entrepreneur in his own right, designed the program so that everyone who joins it will in effect be running his or her online business. The entire concept is set-up so that anyone can, even the newest of the new to internet marketing, can take part in it. By giving the potential user practically every tool he or she needs to succeed, Evans pretty much ensured that everyone who chooses to participate will make his or her share of the money.

The Plug-In Profit System is not complicated. At the core, it is an advertising business, and all you really have to do is to post ads and pull people to buy certain products. You won't even have to write the ads yourself - they will be provided to you. All that's needed is for people to see the advertisements you've posted, and voila! There comes your commission check. Nothing could be easier.

When you sign up for the Plug-In Profit System, you will essentially be becoming an affiliate partner for five different affiliate programs, and the ads you post will be for their benefit. What is to your benefit, however, is the commission you receive for doing such relatively simple and hassle-free work. The work you'll have to do is much akin to putting up For Sale signs: if you put them up, it is almost guaranteed that someone will come. (The trick, of course, is knowing where to put up the signs.)

What makes the Plug-In Profit System so good for internet beginners is the very low price. You can begin with less than $60 dollars - a deal which will be very difficult to match anywhere else. Much of the cost will go to building your own webpage, which is an absolute must in this line of work.

If you have no experience whatsoever in internet business but would like to plunge in, the Plug In Profit system is for you. Not only is this program a great starting point, it can in itself give you the momentum you need to catapult yourself to financial success. It will give you the information and tools that you need to begin, as well as advanced strategies that will help get you where you want to be.

How To Outsource Your Online Business - Increase Your Profits By Doing Less Work

By Tuks Engineer

You're better than me at Adwords. I'm better than you at list-building. Harry Potter's better than both of us at magic. The point is, no-one can be perfect at everything and if your business is to grow beyond a mere "mom & pop store" then at some point you'll need to start delegating responsibility and delve confidently into the world of EMPLOYING people. Someone creates your content. Someone else your website. Another markets. And you? Well you're scooping up the profits and repeating the whole process with another project. And then another.

For the internet business entrepreneur, by far the best way of hiring is through OUTSOURCING. Here's a small sample of the type of work that can be outsourced:

- Development of custom-built software & content.
- Customer support.
- Internet marketing.
- Site development.
- Graphic design.
- Creation of business plans/forecasts/research reports.
- Accounting.

I could go on for pages but you get the idea. While outsourcing tends to be associated mostly with huge companies it's every bit as important to the small internet business entrepreneur. Consider these advantages of implementing outsourcing into your business:

- "Saving time". Are you trying to do *everything* yourself? This may seem noble to you, and undoubtedly you ought to gain as much practical experience into how things need to be done in
your business in case of emergencies. But after a time, if you're doing a lot of menial tasks then you're cheating yourself out of time you could be using to do the things that a CEO of a company should be doing to grow the business. Do you reckon Bill Gates sits down every week to do his own search engine optimisation? No, his team handles it for him. What about you? If you can identify the parts of your business that are taking up way too much time, you can potentially seek to outsource them.

- "Cost Effective". With outsourcing, you only pay for services as and when you need them. In a lot of traditional businesses that employ their own staff this is not so. Often, there is over-capacity so old Dave is having a nice cuppa and reading Sports Illustrated and you're paying him by the hour to do it. Not so with Outsourcing - you pay only for what you need. Further, when you hire staff you have to deal with additional costings such as insurance and taxes. This is simply too much to handle for a small business - again, something that isn't a factor with outsourcing.

- "Let The Professionals Handle It". Certain elements of your business need to be handled by the pro's if you don't have the required skills or experience to do it yourself. When you outsource to a reliable professional, you're ensuring that the job is done right by someone who has the know-how.

So how can you get started growing your business by outsourcing? First, you need to take a long hard look at your own business and pin-point those areas that are either taking too long to complete, aren't being done properly, or aren't being done at all.

Top 10 Advantages Of Working At Home

By Anna Allen

Not long ago, I was the kind of person who couldn't even imagine herself working from home. I was the type of person who had to be 'out of the house' or I'd go crazy. I had to be moving around and doing something. I never thought I'd end up working from home and actually like it, but I do.

Working at home, who wouldn't want to do that? There are so many ways to make money working at home and starting your own business, not to mention all the advantages. Some of the wealthiest people in the world work for themselves. If you were like me and never imagined working from home, I've compiled a list of the Top 10 Advantages of Working at Home.

1. Spending more time with your family - When I was single and had no kids I never wanted to stay home. I always wanted to be out doing something. After I became a 'Mom,' I really hated to leave my house each morning because it meant that I also had to leave the kids. I hated to see their eyes fill with tears as I would leave. I also didn't want someone else to 'raise them' as I went to work each day. I wanted to be there for their 'firsts' in life; the first time they spoke or the first time they walked. I wanted to witness those things. So spending more time with my family and being there for them meant a lot to me and still does.

2. Set your own hours - Since you are your own boss, you get to say when you will work. No more having to dread that awful alarm clock. If you want to sleep in, you actually get to sleep in. If you want to play with the kids, have lunch with a friend, visit your family or even just sit and watch TV, you can. Just keep in mind that if you do too much of these things and don't actually schedule in time to 'work' you may find yourself having to get back out there and work out of the house all over again. It all comes down to scheduling. Since it's YOUR time, you make the schedule and decide what time you'll start, take breaks and so forth. You can decide if you want to work days, nights or split shifts (which is what I do.)

3. You get to choose a job you enjoy - the beauty of working from home is finding something you enjoy doing so it doesn't seem like actual work. Turning your hobby into a profitable business is a great idea, just make sure there's a market for it.

4. You control your money - whatever money you make after expenses belongs to YOU. You can put it back in your business and make even more money (this is always best) or you can choose to spend it all. It's up to you, just be smart about it and think about the future of your business.

5. No dress code - You do not have to wear a uniform, a shirt and tie, a dress, business suit or anything else that may be uncomfortable. If you want to work in your favorite pair of comfy jeans, in your sweats, in your shorts and tank top, in your pajamas or buck naked (although I wouldn't recommend it) you actually could. Once again, YOU'RE THE BOSS.

6. No more commuting to and from work - If you're like me and hated driving to and from work, this is going to be one of your favorite advantages. For me it meant no more driving in the rain or fog in the winter. It's not that I don't trust my driving, it's the other knuckleheads out there that drive like maniacs. I'm just glad I don't have to deal with that everyday anymore.

7. Save more money - You can actually save more money if you work from home than if you work away from home. In my case, I save ton of money on gas because I no longer have that long commute to and from work, not to mention the wear and tear on my vehicle. I also save on daycare because the kids are now home with me. I save money because I no longer have to eat out for lunch while at work.

8. Tax benefits - Home Based Businesses receive numerous tax advantages. I'm not an accountant (nor do I play one on TV), but I do know I get to write off a lot of things since I work out of my house. I get to write off things like: any start up costs, a portion of my rent or house payment, my computer, any supplies I buy for my business, telephone and electric bill, advertising and many more. Talk to your accountant or book keeper to see what you can write off. Believe me, the more write offs the more you will save on taxes.

9. Less Stress - Since you're working from home you no longer have a boss telling you what you can and can't do. Stress from other coworkers is now a thing of the past. Depending on what field you worked in, you no longer have deadlines, hard to please customers and the stress of not getting paid what you're worth.

10. More Free Time - this goes hand in hand with things I've mentioned like not having to commute to and from work. Because you don't have to commute (at least by car), you have more time to do things you enjoy, whether it's spending more time with family and friends, playing golf, getting to actually make yourself breakfast instead of skipping it or eating on the run. So there is so much more free time. I actually know a guy who works at home and makes very good money. He spends most of his day playing his Xbox or watching DVD's. In the morning he checks his emails, answers any questions from his customers and checks his stats from his websites. The rest of the day is his to do whatever he wants. How great is that?

Working from home really has changed my life. I get to take advantage of all the things I've mentioned above. Plus, my family life is happier. I'm now there for my family. I don't have to answer to anyone. I can't tell you how great that feels. If you are contemplating working from home, I do recommend it. Just don't jump into it blindly. Make sure you take all the necessary steps to ensure your success or you'll find yourself right back out there working away from your home.

To Your Success,
Anna Allen

The Working Parent's Home Office - Organization for Success

By Ruby River

If you're a parent that works at home, you already know about the ongoing conflict between your business and your family obligations. Home based businesses are rapidly becoming the norm in our world of high technology. As a parent, this is great news, as it allows you to be in the house with your kids while still creating a necessary income. So, when combining your work life
with your home life, how do you find the proper balance, so each can be stable and successful? To begin with you need to have the correct tools at your disposal for whatever your work at home business is.

While this may sound easy, the lack of organization can be a death knell to your home based business. Beyond strong organization, you'll also need to be able to communicate with your family effectively, set limitations, prioritize your day, stick to your commitments, and learn how to be flexible. Sounds like a lot, doesn't it? It's not only possible, it's very manageable, and while the balance will rarely be perfect, optimizing your schedule and your office will lead you to not only a stronger business - but a stronger family unit, as well. The following steps will help get you started:

Communication

Whether you're running an internet home based business or another type of work at home career, start with communication. Explain to your family what your home based business will require in order for it be streamlined. This is all about expectations, and may include establishing protocol for interruptions, discussing your normal working hours, and basic rules to be followed. Be ready to listen, question, and explain every detail fully.

Organization

It's essential to have the proper tools in order to work at home successfully. Be sure to have a strong internet connection (especially if you have an internet home based business), a dedicated telephone (it can be a cell phone), a place to keep files and notes so you can find them quickly, and a way of organizing your incoming work.

Limitations

Your family is important and they are probably the main reason you're in a home based business to begin with. However, your children need to understand you're working - even if you're only in the next room. You'll need to set limitations with them so they know how to approach you in non-emergency circumstances. You could designate a signal that will visually tell them you cannot be interrupted unless it is an emergency. This can be as simple as a closed door or a sign you hang outside of your office.

Prioritize

Invest in a calendar, whether the old-fashioned type or computer software, to use as a planning tool. This is one of the most important steps you can take if you work at home, because you need a place to pencil (or type) in appointments, school activities, deadlines, etc. Get into the habit of updating your planning tool throughout each day so you can set your priorities well in advance.

Commitment

If you tell your son that you'll be at his soccer game - be there. If you tell a business associate you will be available to talk on a certain day and time, make sure you are. Your word is important within your family and your business - so unless something happens that you cannot control, live up to what you say. If you do have to break a commitment, be open and honest about it and be ready with an alternate plan. If this happens - it is essential that the alternate plans you made are adhered to.

Flexibility

As with anything in life, learning to be flexible will save you, your family, and your home based business unnecessary stress. Things happen in life, try to find different solutions and different methods when issues pop up. A work at home office can truly make a difference in narrowing the gap between career and family, especially if the office is organized and the expectations with your family are firmly in place. Combined, it will allow you to remain the stabilizing force you need to be - both in your home based business and in your family.

What Do You Have To Be To Succeed In A Home Based Business

By Pedro Sousa

So, 95% of the people that try to earn money online FAIL.
That's a fact and nobody can argue with that.

But, you can belong to the 5% who actually earn money from the confort of their own houses. How? I call it the three "Be's".

Before that, let's talk about something else. Is it possible to start bulding an income using just FREE advertsing resources? Basicly, is it possible to earn money online without spending a penny?! NO! I've talked about it with other marketers and we all reached the same conclusion: at some point, you have to spend some money. But the trick, is how to spend it. Face it like an
investment to future. Just spend it wisely. What leads to my main point. What do you have to be to really earn a "few bucks" using the internet in these so called "home based business"?

Be Active - That's right. If you have an idea, just explore it and do something about it. How many times did i heard: "Oh man, I want to do this, but I don't if it's going to work. Maybe I just should let it go". WRONG. Be active in every way that you can be. You will never know if it is a good idea, if you just don't try to make it work!

Be Patient - While you are advertising your main home based business you have to be patient. Advertising is a number's game. Just don't quite and keep trying. Give yourself a couple of months until you give up.

Be original - In every step of the way, you have to be unique and creative. Do something different from the competition, and BEING ACTIVE here can really pay off. Write down some ideas that you think can work, embrace them with enthusiasm and you will see results in no time.

That's about it. If you can be active, patient and original you can earn money online. Along your money journey, invest your money wisely (no guarateed sign-ups and so on). Before EVERY MOVE research about it in order to find some feedback and then ACT!

Finding Accurate Internet Marketing Business Reviews

By Andy West

The prospect of starting or looking into an internet marketing business can be quite tricky, especially without much knowledge or insight into the field. Using a variety of accurate internet
marketing business reviews can be a great way to shed a little bit of light on your research. But finding reviews can be as tricky as balancing a bicycle on the nose of a seal. It may seem like a circus trick, but there are tricks of the trade that can be used in order to decipher the nonsense and the spin from the truth.

One way to start looking for information about internet marketing businesses is to use a basic search engine. There are many out there that can make looking for marketing reviews easier for the consumer or the prospective business owner. Some are more reputable than others. Using search engines usually involves knowing, specifically, what to search for in order to get accurate and primary results.

A lot of the marketing opportunities available for people fail because they are unreliable and unrealistic. This is coupled with the fact that finding reputable press about the business or opportunity can be complicated, probably due to the fact that the business may not be too reputable to begin with. Using search engines and website lookup information portals can be a good first step to take in terms of looking into the reputation of a particular Internet business or marketing opportunity.

There are many opportunities out there for less than honest business people to attempt to take hard-earned money out of the pockets of web surfers. These businesses and these marketing opportunities simply rely on the ignorance of the consumer, so the alternative is to become an educated consumer and learn more about the business than the scammers believe you do. Doing this is simply a matter of having the right sources, reading the right internet marketing business reviews, and learning how to spot a scam.

Internet marketing business reviews can come from multiple sources, but a general rule of thumb is to keep an eye out for a general consensus amongst the reviewers. If a business is realistic in its business plan and worth a look, the reviewers will likely agree even if they have a difference of opinion on some of the company's philosophy. Finding this particular type of consensus can be challenging, because of the apparent bulk of negative press available. It is a fact that consumers are more likely to give a bad comment when they are dissatisfied, yet will give no comment at all when they are completely satisfied.

There are many issues that may come into play in terms of Internet marketing business reviews. Some reviews may use testimonials to attempt to create a more realistic tone. These
testimonials are not necessarily genuine and should be checked into further.

Avoid glossing over statistics, especially if the statistics in one particular internet marketing business review can be compared with those from another. If those numbers or those stats do not line up, you should start asking some serious questions about the worthiness of the company.

Reading Internet marketing business reviews can be complicated and tricky, especially because of the constant use of flowery language and avoidance tactics. Many reviews will talk about an internet marketing opportunity without actually mentioning anything about the opportunity itself. When reading internet marketing business reviews, it is important to maintain a clear focus so as to understand the actuality of what the review says and not just the spin.

Starting A Business Online: The 6 Essentials Every Internet Business Owner Must Possess

By Deanna Mascle

Starting a business online is easy. Just buy a package or sign up for a prepacked system and you can be an internet billionaire next month with nothing to do but run to the bank and cash your checks.

I do not know why people who are normally full of common-sense and who are wary of hyped-up sales pitches fall for these online hucksters. The old adage states: "If it looks too good to be true it probably is" holds even more true for internet get-rich-quick schemes than anything else.

The truth is that there is a lot of money to be made on the internet and that will continue to hold true for many years to come. The opportunity to become an internet millionaire or billionaire has not passed you by. BUT no one got rich overnight on the internet and no one got rich without doing some work.

There are many different methods and formulas for making money on the internet and there are even more ways to lose money on the internet, but before you spend a lot of your money take time to study and learn so you can better judge those opportunities that come your way.

All you need to really start your own business online are these six qualities:

Time is the most important ingredient for your success. If you are looking to get rich quick or for overnight success then starting a business from scratch is not the way to go. Once you know what you are doing then you can often leverage your existing customer base or traffic into a quick income whenever you choose but it takes time to build something of worth. It will take months before your new web site or blog is even listed in most search engines and likely it will take you longer to build up a list of interested potential customers. Money and knowledge can cut down the wait time but remember it will take time to build up your knowledge.

Money is the second most important ingredient for your internet business success. While you do not need a big budget and I offer a free tutorial about how to start an internet business on a shoestring (see end of article), you will need some money to get started effectively.

Patience is another key ingredient for business success. As I mentioned before, it takes time to learn what you need to know (and after seven years in this business there is still a lot I have to learn) and then it takes time to put those strategies into effect. Even more than that, it takes time for your new strategies to begin to work for you. While most of us come to expect immediate results on the internet it does take time for search engines and visitors alike to notice when you make a change to a web site or blog. Many internet entrepreneurs lose patience just when they are on the cusp of success. Most people who fail at an internet business simply did not possess enough time and patience. Most people who succeed at online business did so by sticking it out.

Passion is an often overlooked element of success. One of the ways people work through the early learning and tough times is that they are passionate about their business. This is why so
many gurus suggest you start with a niche that already interests you. Not only do you not have as much to learn about that area but you will be able to be real when you begin promoting your business. You do not have to fake your enthusiasm and passion will carry you far.

Creativity is another must-have for the budding entrepreneur. Think outside the box and beyond what is immediately available in your niche. Creativity can help you start, build, grow and promote your business in terms of products and publicity and partners.

Finally, you quite simply need brainpower. You do not need to be the sharpest crayon in the box but you do need to be open to new ideas and willing (in fact eager) to learn. Never assume you
know everything or that you cannot learn. Once you fall into either of those traps you are doomed.

If you possess these six key qualities: time, money (just a little), patience, passion, creativity, and brainpower then you can make a success of an internet business.

Make Or Break Your Home Business (and Residual Income Streams That Work)

By Tuks Engineer

As our divine world drives furiously into this new Information Age a new type of millionaire is fast emerging from the incredible changes that have been driven by the internet the Work From Home Millionaire. This article probes into the questions that you have about the benefits of starting a home business, avoiding the scams that seem to attract any prosperous industry and (the bit that you'll want to gobble up) the drop dead simple ways that you can implement today for instant home wealth.

Ready? Let's delve now into the benefits of starting a home-based business. Do you know that this new breed of Work From Home Millionaire has it much better than most wealthy people? A home-business affords it's owners a lifestyle that even traditional millionaires would envy (no need to commute or play dirty office politics as you watch the cash splosh into your Paypal account).

Not started yet? Don't fret - every thriving home business started off as a mere conception. An idea in someones head. Working from home is a dream for many - but actually going ahead and starting a home business can be very difficult. So what makes so many people want to do it, and why would you ever try such a crazy thing? Here are some common reasons, and some things to consider:

Doing What You Love (Yes, You CAN Turn Your Hobby Into Your Job)

Most people have something that they're really passionate about, and would spend the rest of their life doing if they could, just for the enjoyment of it. Whether that means football, travel or hand-made sock puppets for you it's wonderful to get paid for doing what you love! Make sure,
though, that you?d be able to take it if you had to make a living from your passion. It's the things we're closest to that hurt us the most - think of how you might feel if no-one buys what you've made, or if they send it back and with a note saying "what rubbish, I demand a refund!"

Can you cope with your hobby becoming commercial? As you?ll learn with time and experience there is always a small percentage of customers who are downright nasty and will take a swipe at your feelings (I know of webmasters who have even received correspondence touching upon hate-mail before). You always have to take the rough with the smooth.

Your Boss Is A Dirty, Backstabbing Little Pig

It seems like everyone hates their boss. In an increasingly commercial and profit conscious world the "boss" is the guy who will deliver corporate riches at any expense. You may be a model employee, work more hours than there are in the day yet when it's time for your loyalty to be repaid you're left with a barely inflation matching pay-rise and hardly any gratitude for your slog. Is this really the way you imagined spending your life?

Wouldn't it be far nicer to do your own thing from your own space?

What you might not realise is that "being your own boss" requires quite a lot of willpower. If there was no-one to make you get up in the morning and do any work, would you be able to motivate yourself? Your home is supposed to be a place of rest and entertainment - and when it's full of the equipment and temptation to do anything but work, working there can be hard
(shall I do some work or watch that Simpsons DVD?).

You're Over 30, Have A Wonderful Family, But Barely See Them For A Half Hour In The Day

You feel like all you do is go to work, come home, and then sit around, too tired to do anything fun with your family. Well without doubt I can tell you that with a successful home business you'll have far more time and energy to enjoy with your partner, your children, your relatives and friends. And when you're boss, you can set your own holidays. How cool would it be to turn up to your home office, find things smoother than smooth and call Bob up for a round of golf (of course if you don't know Bob you can ask one of your own friends : ) The flipside here is that you might just end up spending too much time with your family, while you're trying to work. When everyone knows you'll be in the house all day, they'll probably ask you to do all sorts of unimportant things, just because you're available. It's hard to say no, and before you know it, you're doing the job of a full-time "housewife" instead of what you set out to do. Discipline is required, and if you feel you struggle with this then perhaps a home business isn't for you after all.

The Commute, The Stress, The Overpriced Sandwiches - It's All Too Much

There is a very wise old saying that goes something like this: "No-one on their death-bed has ever reflected on their life and said - I wish I spent more time in the office!"

Offices are dreary environments, and terrible to work in. Travelling for hours there and back and spending a significant proportion of your wages to do it seems completely pointless (especially if you live in the middle of nowhere). If you could work from home, think of the time you?d save? and time is money, isn't it? To make things worse, if you happen to work in some of
the larger cities in the world such as London, the amount you spend on basics like food and drink can be shockingly high.

Isn't it time you started earning more and spending less (both money and energy)? Once set-up, a home business affords you the enjoyment of working based around your time, schedule and requirements (with the only commute from the bedroom to the home office via kitchen).

You Want To Work Smarter And Benefit From Residual Income Streams

When you have a job, usually the pattern is that you work to accomplish a task and you get paid once. When you have a smart home business (such as creating and selling information products) you do the work once and then for years into the future you will receive payment for the very same work. That's residual income and it's one of the most powerful concepts you'll ever take on board (congratulations - this one tip alone is worth hundreds of dollars).

A home business can not only be highly enticing because of the advantages it offers by way of work-life-balance, but when you get it right it will pay many multiples of any job. That's the trick to setting up a really successful home based business.

Home Income Streams That WORK

Pay close attention to this short paragraph. You're about to discover multiple ways of creating powerful home income streams that are seductively residual. Here are some income streams that have worked very well for me - I'll leave it to you to research into and profit from them.

As mentioned above, resale rights and information products are superb residual income generators. These days you can purchase premium products with rights for the price of an ice-cream and profit from it for years into the future.

Google Adsense has been established as a viable and highly profitable business model for the home business publisher. It's an awesome way of setting up income streams that do not require you to sell a thing (and continue to make money from them long after forgetting about them).

Knowing the basics behind importing & exporting is another explosively profitable home business model. Once you find a profit source here, again, it will continue to deliver cash for
you for years into the future.

A Call For Action

Now that you're aware of the pros and cons of starting your very own home based business (and some highly powerful tips to nudge you towards early profits) you need to take action. The next five minutes are vital - if you walk away and take no action you may never start on the most important and worthwhile journeys of your life. It's totally up to you. Who knows, perhaps you'll end up being the next new Work From Home Millionaire.

Building An Internet Business At Home; Setting Up Your Systems

By Roxanne Greenidge

Don't be fooled; working at home is a serious undertaking that will need your undivided attentiveness. If you are thinking that working at home is effortless, you are in for some big surprises. There many persons who are working at home who would swear that they are putting more time and effort into their home business than what they used to do while they had an 8 to 5 job in the office.

One of the major challenges that you will face when you work in the comforts of your home while taking care of your children is to get the full cooperation of your family. Building an Internet business at home and working at home, you will need the full cooperation of the entire family. If you have children, you must let them understand that you are working and that you are not available to play with them all the time. Even though having you at home and not being able to play with you all the time may be difficult for your young children to understand in the beginning, they will soon get used to the idea that you are working at home and cannot be disturbed during specific times of the day.

Although you may not be obligated to keep inventories of the goods you are selling, you must have ready access to the products in case somebody will place an order online.

Aside from the purchasing system, you will need to set up a system on how your clients can obtain orders and pay for their orders. There are a lot of turnkey software that you can use for obtaining orders and receiving payments from clients so you will not really have many problems in this area. Just make sure that you get one that is reliable software so that you will not have any difficulty tracing your sales.

Work From Home With Automated System That Does It All

By Marsha Brown

Internet travellers are noticing a huge upsurge of automated marketing sites called "plug-in profit sites," or PIPs for short. Basically, the sites act as middlemen between buyers and sellers… clearing houses, if you will. If you have the ability to work just a little faithfully, every day, you may be the type of person who can readily take advantage of a plug-in profit site. The advantages are many if you are willing to spend the time needed.

Not all PIPs are created equal. Some are simple "affiliate marketing" plans that rely on your ability to outwit the Internet market and drive lots of traffic to your site. Once the traffic (or customer) arrives at your site, if he clicks on a link to a merchant you're affiliated with, you earn money. If the customer buys from that merchant, you can receive up to 70% of the sales price.

Why would a merchant go for such a deal? Think about it a second. With advertising prices sky-high, and with zero risk… why wouldn't they? All they have to cover is their cost and overhead, and after all, they would never have seen that customer if he hadn't clicked on a link in your website.

This sounds complicated, you're thinking. Well the truth is, it is. But only if you have to start from scratch.

It doesn't make sense, really, to do much of anything from scratch anymore, not unless you're a total control freak or simply a traditional purist. The folks who create these sites sell them because they work and because the people who buy them – people just like you, who want or need to work at home – are willing to pay a small price to get started and avoid the hassles and pitfalls of working from scratch to build an online business.

Choosing A Work At Home Career

By Bryan Perry

Is doing at home work on the internet the right career path for you?

Quitting your present job, putting all your eggs in the so-called web basket of a work from home job... these can be pretty scary moves. Of course, you don't have to quit your job to start doing at home work; it can be done part time, but then you have to be willing to give up some family/personal time (at least temporarily) to launch your business.

Either way, there is risk and sacrifice involved in at home work. And, how can you be sure at home work is going to be worth it, or that you have what it takes to be an at home work entrepreneur? After all, launching yourself in at home work is NOT the right path for everyone. It takes the right combination of desire, organization, motivation, time, skill and creativity to be successful in work at home jobs.

Just about anyone can be successful in starting a home business, but it is smart to take the time to do a little self-evaluation before you jump off that cliff.

ASSESS YOUR APTITUDE FOR AT HOME WORK

As discussed earlier, it is important to know if you have what it takes to make it in at home work. Your internet home business will require a certain amount of dedication and effort. Those "get rich quick" schemes you've heard so much about just aren't real. It takes hard work and motivation to reach success in work at home jobs. Don't let anyone tell you different.

Evaluating yourself to see if you have the right qualities to succeed in a home business is the first step in helping you decide if you're going in the right direction when starting an at home work plan.

FIGURING OUT WHICH TYPE OF BUSINESS TO START

There are hundreds, perhaps thousands, of options when it comes to at home work. Which work from home job is right for you? The best place to start is to ask some questions:

1. What type of at home work business would best match my knowledge/skill set?

2. Do I want to sell a product or a service ... or some combination of both? (Look at your current occupation. Is there some common problem or gripe associated with it ... could you start some sort of home business to solve that problem? Or ... do you have a hobby or personal interest that could be turned into some sort of at home work?)

3. Do I want to sell someone else's product, or develop my own? (If there is some product or service that you believe in, perhaps you should explore selling it. There are many people today making a living in work at home jobs just by selling other people's products. Spend a few weeks researching affiliate products, learning how to market them, and get up and running with an automatic system that works in the background. Then, let those affiliate programs earn slowly—or maybe fast!—growing income while you focus on the internet home business that's your first choice, whatever that might be.)

Serious discussion of affiliate marketing is beyond the scope of this article. However, you can find some great resources to help you learn more about affiliate programs and how to get started in them at
http://www.bnsbargainsonline.com
I also have a Free 325 Page E-Book Download

"DOTCOMOLOGY The science of making money on-line" go to
http://pluginprofitsite.com/main-15648/dotcomology.html

Finding products you like—either offline or online—can also give you ideas for your own product or service. It is not necessary that your business idea be completely original. You can be successful by developing your own "unique selling point" that sets your product apart from all the others out there.

4. What kind of financial resources can I put into my at home work? (Can you afford to pay several thousand dollars to purchase a cookie-cutter or franchise type business? Probably
not, but don't despair. Most internet home businesses can be started on a shoestring, or maybe a little more. But just keep in mind that what you can afford to invest will influence the type of business you choose to go into.)

One of the best at home work product ideasI know of for an entrepreneur who wants to start a work from home job is ... Infoproducts!

Everyone is an expert at something ... even you. Just think about it. What do you know a lot about? Is it the industry you've worked in for the past 15 years ... or that special hobby ... or that life-changing experience?

Whatever your specialty is, you have valuable knowledge. Share your knowledge through an e-book. It isn't necessary for how-to books to be great literary works. What's most important is that they offer easy-to-follow information.

These are just a few of the things you need to consider when planning to start a work at home business.

Some of the
wealthiest people in the world work for themselves. If you were like me and never imagined working from home, I've compiled a list of the Top 10 Advantages of Working at Home.

1. Spending more time with your family - When I was single and had no kids I never wanted to stay home. I always wanted to be out doing something. After I became a 'Mom,' I really hated to
leave my house each morning because it meant that I also had to leave the kids.

To Your Success,
Anna Allen

While you do not need a big budget and I offer a free tutorial about how to start an internet business on a
shoestring (see end of article), you will need some money to get started effectively.

This is why so many gurus suggest you start with a niche that already interests you.

Never assume you know everything or that you cannot learn. Once you fall into either of those traps you are doomed.

If you possess these six key qualities: time, money (just a little), patience, passion, creativity, and brainpower then you can make a success of an internet business.

Do You Have What It Takes To Start Your Own Home Based Business?

By Tanya Shaw

Let me first start off with letting everyone know that I am not a Business "Guru" by any means. In fact, prior to me starting my business, I had had no experience in marketing whatsoever. Like most people, it seemed that all my time was spent working and I didn't have much to show for it. I basically was making just enough to "get by". The commute alone to and from work was
exhausting and costly. I said to myself one day. "This is NOT the way I want to live. Something has to change."

So, one night I went online and started looking for Work at Home Business Opportunities. After extensive research I found some Legitimate ones. I was on my way. I did realize something very quickly however, and that was. you can't start a thriving business overnight. I'll admit, it takes work and also a little investment, but if you are willing, the results can be amazing.

If you are one of those people who dream of having your own business, setting your own hours, not having to answer to anyone but yourself, then a home business opportunity may be right for you.

Do you have what it takes?

The Key to Success in your business is having SELF MOTIVATION. You need to have the drive to push yourself ahead. There will be no one looking over your shoulder telling you WHAT to do or WHEN to do it. Your success lays entirely upon your own shoulders.

The level of success that you will achieve greatly depends on the time and effort you are willing to put into your new home business. Your organization, planning and marketing skills, will all be put into practice when you embark on your journey from employee, to being your own boss. In fact, you will be the wearer of many hats and gain a wealth of business experience along the way, when you finally make that commitment to work at home.

There may be times you feel that things are not going your way, but you need to remember to stay positive and focus on the end result. Even if sales aren't up to par, or if you're getting negative comments from people who are unhappy with their "dead-end jobs". This business is all about you and your life, if you choose to start living it.

A home based business can be truly rewarding. You can start living the life you've always imagined. Free to do what you want.. When you want to do it without having to worry about money or time. You can gain your life back. If you truly want it. Do you have what it takes?

Simple Tips To Start And Run A Money Making Business.

By Nick P. Bentley

Are you tired and bored with work? Perhaps your boss is a major pain in the behind. Don't worry about your current situation, its time to look for an alternative route to income. For sure that little office cubicle you sit behind isn't the only way to earn a living. Today there is a world of opportunities coming up at all times. With the evolution of the World-Wide-Web, there are a number of people turning to the Internet in search of a money making business. Have you considered this new-age road of opportunity? Yes, many others are doing it, then why can't you? It's time to size up the options at hand. Surely it's time to look beyond "the man" for alternative business ventures. Who knows? Maybe that money making business of your dreams could be just around the corner.

Folks, do you know what it takes to have a successful money making business? Well, this can be a rather in-depth issue. Though there are some fundamental factors when considering a personal business. Firstly can you afford to get it started? Secondly, do you really believe it is a money making business? Surely these things are not too difficult to figure out. Everyone can check out everyday which business pan out and which don't. For a majority of this is common sense. Like will a coffee shop make money? This should be a no-brainer. For sure the entire planet has witnessed countless coffee shops flourish with success. No matter which state you are from, maybe Oregon or Washington, then you certainly know where I'm coming from. Who would have thought five years ago, that a rather small town could have a dozen coffee shops that fare quite well. I was clearly wrong. In Oregon, I have witnessed infinite coffee shops turn into a constant profit. The key is great coffee, and the right location.

These are a few factors you need to think about if you are considering a money making business in the future. You need to decide what product or service you wish to offer. Also give a thought on the reasons why customers should come to you instead of your competitors. And for sure, the main key is location, location, location!

Think about it; is it time to upgrade your career and kick start your own money making business? Perhaps you crave to make profits and take fewer directions from others? This is completely feasible these days. Nowadays it's not only wise but practical to use the Internet to your advantage. Exhaust this source to the maximum. It's a great vehicle to success. Undoubtedly someone starts a new money making business day after day with the Internet's assistance. Hop online and do some brain storming.

Make Money With Information Ebook Products: The Other End

By Stephanie Histockery

I don't like thinking of myself as the kind of person that has made it rich on the internet, but in some ways I am. I started out like most people, signing up for affiliate programs and promoting OTHER people's products. I'd make some money, nothing big. I couldn't help but think what it must be like for the people on the other end. I mean, think about it. They sell their item directly and then you do the work for them which rake in more sales. I wanted to be on that end of the market. So I decided to start my own website selling information products which I purchased from vendors. Let me tell you, resale rights are expensive.

I tried those stupid eBay e-books that offer resell rights but they offer them for a reason. Because they are hard to sell and usually won't make that much money. So after years of trying
different products, I finally found one that works. It was a product featured at www.subliminalblackbook.org. I took it at the advice of a fellow work-at-homer. I figured great, another e-book with resell rights. My friend told me to try and if I didn't make 10 sales, he would pay for it. What did I have to lose?

Three months later I am now making about $100 a day selling the same product. Here are some tips. First, buy a product that sells. The one I purchased at www.subliminalblackbook.org was
an amazing find. You can try that or another product. Just make sure it can convert. Next get a domain name that contains your product keyword in the URL. Now submit to search engines. Use SEO (Search Engine Optimization) tips. Keep your keywords in your content. Write a great web copy and make sure you explain to visitors your BENEFITS not FEATURES. Example, an ROI (Return on Investment) calculator is a feature, the benefit is that it will save the consumer time and money. Keep our site professional and offer an email or phone number for help always.

Follow these tips and you should be getting traffic and conversions in no time. Let me know about your progress by contacting me.

Building A Home Internet Business

By Garthel Jones

Make no mistakes about it; working at home is a serious undertaking that will need your concentration. If you are thinking that working at home is easy, you are in for some big surprises. There are a lot of people who are working at home who would swear that they are putting more time and effort into their home business than what they used to do while they had an 8 to 5 job in the office.

One of the biggest challenges that you will face when you work in the comforts of your home while taking care of your kids is to get the full cooperation of your family. Building a home Internet business and working at home, you will need the full cooperation of the entire family. If you have kids, you must let your kids understand that you are working and that you are not available to play with them all the time. Although having you at home and being able to play with you at all may be difficult for your young kids to understand in the beginning, they will soon get used to the idea that you are working at home and cannot be disturbed during certain times of the day.

Building a home Internet business is a big task that would need your time and concentration. There are many factors that you will need to consider when you are thinking of building a home
Internet business. First, you will need to set up your own systems. Building a home Internet business is just like setting up a regular business where you will need to put systems in place so that you can work more efficiently. If you are putting up an e-store, the first thing that you will need to set up is your procurement systems. Although you may not be required to keep inventories of the goods you are selling, you must have ready access to the products in case somebody will place an order online.

Aside from the procurement system, you will need to set up a system on how your customer can take orders and pay for their orders. There are many turnkey software that you can use for taking orders and receiving payments from customers so you will not really have much problems in this area. Just make sure that you get one of that reliable software so that you will not have any troubles tracing your sales.

Another thing that you will need to set up is your delivery system. Your customer will judge your services by the efficiency of your delivery system so make sure that you get a good courier as partner. If you are planning of catering to clients all over the world, you should set up a very reliable delivery system so that you will not end up losing some goods along the way.

A Home Based Income Opportunity May Be Just What You Are Looking For

By IPRWire Staff Writer

The idea of a home based income opportunity is something that appeals to many people, even those who have been successfully working for and with other people. The idea that you can stay
in your own house and work the hours that you want and with the people you want is something that we all like to think about, but very few people are actually able to make this work for
themselves. Many times people have the knowledge they need, but they lack the confidence to step out on their own as well as the general know how to actually get a company of their own off the ground.

To complicate matters, too many people have already fallen victim to some illegitimate home based income opportunity. Unfortunately, there are too many of these programs to even count on the Internet and they exist in the real world as well. So many programs out there simply take people's money and leave them with nothing or they provide interesting reading, but not
enough information that can actually lead one to success. The overwhelming numbers of programs that do not actually serve people well make the majority of people searching for a home based income opportunity a bit hesitant to invest any time or money in a program that professes to provide information or guidance to allow one to work for themselves. This is
understandable, but if you are unwilling to take chances, you don't give yourself the opportunity to find the legitimate programs either.

To find the programs or systems that really will set you up for success there are a couple things that you should look for. First, you should ask for references or testimonials. See if they are members of the BBB or rated by Dun & Bradstreet. While this in and of itself may not be enough it is a good starting point. A home based income opportunity should also be one that you can purchase sufficient training or information for just once per topic or course and not have to incur any sort of recurring payment scheme for ongoing participation. Programs that are complete onto themselves are also preferred because that means you will not have to find other resources and put out potentially more money to actually make the program work for you.

Of course, this is a tall order to fill and using these guidelines you will probably be able to rule out the majority of systems or programs that you are looking into. You can rule out some others just by looking at the affordability of them. Many programs can charge thousands of dollars, or more with recurring payments which must be made for ongoing participation. While anything worth doing might cost some money and take some time before you see the results that you want, it shouldn't put you in the poor house to get there.

One website that offers legitimate programs with ongoing support is http://www.pfa.com as it fills all of the requirements that are listed above. Not only do they offer all of those great features, they also offer assistance that will help you put your plans into motion. Branching out on your own and building a business is a big step for everyone, but when you work with the programs on this website you will find that it is easier than you could have ever imagined to get involved in a known & proven business from a company that has been providing full training and ongoing support since 1978. That in and of itself makes it well worth your time to visit to see what they have to offer. Make sure you sign up for their FREE Report - You won't be disappointed!

Choosing A Busines Opportunity Online

By Mario C Churchill

Type the words "business opportunity" in any popular search engine such as Google, Yahoo or Microsoft Network and you will see literally thousands, even millions, of web pages about
different kinds of money-making deals. The Internet is full of sites that promise to make you rich practically overnight. Some even promise to put you among the richest men in the world.

Actually you don't even have to search for business opportunities in the Internet. Just open your mail box and you will see countless emails about some get rich quick thing or another.

What most of these so-called business opportunities have in common is that they promise to make you rich without you having to exert too much effort. Majority of these opportunities are
home-based business which claims to have the ability to make you a millionaire or a billionaire without you having to leave your house or even your own room.

Sounds too good to be true?

Well most of them probably are. But it would not be very wise to dismiss all business opportunities on the Internet as scams. Some of the business opportunities on the Internet are actually valid and can actually make you rich beyond your wildest dreams. Many successful individuals have already proven this fact. The number of men and women who are becoming rich because of home-based Internet businesses are increasing everyday.

The secret is to be able to discern the scams from the honest-to-goodness businesses. So how will you be able to this? Below are some tips on how to find the right business opportunity for you on the World Wide Web.

1. Choose a business that is right for you. Keep in mind that we are all different. What works for other individuals may not necessarily work for us.

So in looking for a business opportunity on the Internet, look for one that suits you. This means that the business must be tailor-fitted to your interests, skills and lifestyle.

2. Be passionate about the business. Find your passion. Passion is an ingredient to any successful endeavor and this includes business. To turn a business opportunity into a success you must be passionate about it.

Otherwise, you will easily get bored with it and will probably just neglect it after a few months of operations. So whenever you see a business opportunity that is right for you, jump into it with all your heart. There is no room for being lukewarm when it comes to business.

3. Look for reliable business partners. The team you are going to join must become good partners and just plain acquaintances. The same is true with Internet businesses.

It is true that it is more difficult to assess individuals in cyberspace but there are ways to do so. You can ask to meet the individuals running the websites or you could simply talk to them on the phone. The point is to make the relationship as personal as possible.

4. Be aware of your skills. If you know the things you are good at then it wouldn't be that difficult to find a business opportunity that is right for you. So before looking for a business opportunity it is wise to list down all your strengths and weaknesses. Let that list be your guider in choosing the right business opportunity.

Five Reasons You Need to Start a Home Business!

By Leslie Truex

It used to be that going to work for forty years would provide you with enough income to support your family today and a nice pension to support you in your retirement. Those
days are gone. Financial gurus today are stressing the importance not relying on a job for your financial security. They are recommending that the best way to secure your family's finances now and in the future is through a part-time home based business.

Here are five reasons you NEED to start a home business:

1) Jobs are not secure or keeping up with the cost of living. More and more people are being laid off as work is outsourced to other countries or struggling industries are forced to cut back. Further, while the economy shows signs of growth, the money has not reached the hands of middle and low-income families. In fact, salaries have not kept pace with the cost of living making families poorer! Perhaps you have been wondering why you used to live okay on your salary and now you don't. Odds are you haven't had a raise in years and if you have, it wasn't enough to cover the increase in living expenses. Having a home-based business cannot only help fill this gap, but it can fund your retirement and even replace your income.

2) Job related pensions and retirements are not secure and may not be enough to support you. Everyone is aware ofEnron and big losses investors have taken due to dot-com troubles. But many companies are also cutting back or eliminating their pension plans. Many don't offer any sort of pension plan at all. With Social Security in financial trouble, you can't expect to have the government or your boss secure your retirement. It's up to you. A part-time home business can help you earn extra money that you can invest in your future.

3) Tax benefits. Many of the tax advantages that benefit the rich are available to you when you have a home business. Please note, I'm not a tax expert so you should always consult a tax professional on your taxes. However, as a home business owner you have many tax deductions
available to you on many things you are already paying for such as expenses to run your home and Internet access fees. While the government takes its 30% off the top of your salary, it allows businesses to first deduct their expensesfor doing business, and then pay taxes on what's left over, which generally results in lower tax payments.

4) Money savings. If you are able to bring your business home full-time, you can save huge on the costs related to working such as commuting, childcare, etc. In fact, I make less now than I did when I worked outside the home, but I have more money! That's because nearly 3/4th of my income went to pay for work-related things.

5) Improved well being. Stress, lack of sleep, no time for oneself much less a family are all the result of jobs that ask you to work more and more for less and less. The health implications for this kind of life are staggering with increased depression, heart disease, and more. Adding a
side income from a home business can take the burden off of fears of losing a job because if you get laid off, you have some savings to fall back on. But if you can replace your job with your business, you can set your hours, take time for yourself, spend more time with the family, and be able to take better care of you.

According to financial experts such as Loral Langemeir (The Millionaire Maker), David Bach (Finish Rich books), Robert Allen (Multiple Streams of Income,) Donald Trump and Robert
Kyioski, financial security comes from being in control of your income and developing passive income streams. All of these authors indicate that it starts by being your own boss.

Basicly, is it possible to earn money online without spending a
penny?!

Maybe i
just should let it go".

Before EVERY
MOVE research about it in order to find some feedback and then ACT!

Searching For An Internet Home Based Business?. . . . The questi

By Ruby River

When I lost my long-term employment only then did I truly realize
that I had a CHOICE. I consciously made the decision to work at
home from the Internet.

First, let us acknowledge some of the reasons Internet home based
business is BIG business:

* Job security once taken for granted is declining due to
outsourcing, company closures and cutbacks;

* One parent deciding to stay home to raise their children. The
lack of affordable child care is often a consideration. It does
not make financial sense in many cases for both parents to work
outside of the home;

* Private sector pensions and personal savings are no longer
adequate when it is time for baby boomers to retire. Having an
Internet home based business well into our seventies is not all
that uncommon, or

* Some of us are just sick of working for someone else and want
to enjoy the freedom of working for ourselves.

Ok, you have made the solid decision of becoming a stay at home
entrepreneur. With the vast services, products, information and
opportunities the Internet offers becoming overwhelmed can be
attained in an instant by a click of your mouse.

I would like to suggest asking yourself a few questions and
create some guidelines BEFORE you go about your quest of finding
an Internet home based business. Your business is truly an
investment in yourself.

Write these questions and answers down. Have a dialogue with
yourself. You may be surprised how they may vary after a week or
so, or you may add questions to your list. The idea is to be
conclusive no matter if it takes a day, a week or three months.

The first question to ask is:

1. What do I want to accomplish with my Internet business? What
are my goals? This is not a redundant question. Be specific. Your
goals are where it all begins.

2. How much time can I, or am I willing to give to this home
based business on a daily basis? Being very clear on your true
time availability is necessary.

3. What is my budget for my business?

4. Do I want my business to be within an established company or
do I want to be a totally independent entity with my own
products/services? If you want to be totally independent then
........

Your business could spring from an interest, talent or hobby that
you are knowledgeable and passionate about. Write them ALL down
even if you dismiss them from the get go--keep an open mind. I am
not a total believer in the "do what you love and success will
follow" mind set being the cure all, but having a true belief
in, or a passion for your products/services is essential.

5. How knowledgeable am I about my products/services? Do I need
to do more research? You certainly do not have to be an expert,
but being knowledgeable is important.

If you choose to work within a company, your choices are diverse
as well. Additional questions could be.........

6. How long has the company been in business?

7. Are they reputable?

8. Does the company have a strong structure (i.e. training,
support, marketing strategy, automation system for payment,
invoicing, etc?)

9. Are their products/services something I can be proud of?

10. Will I have to do any handling of the products?

And, of course, include on your list other aspects you already
know that you do, or do not want in a business.

The process can feel daunting, but take your time, research and
ask lots of questions. It is well worth the expenditure. Good
luck!

11 Reasons To Consider a Job in Search Engine Marketing

By Kalena Jordan

Are you currently seeking employment? Looking for a new profession? Considering a career change? Then a job in the field of Search Engine Marketing should be at the top of your list. Here are 10 reasons why:

1) The Search Industry is HOT

The first dot-com bubble may have burst 6 years ago, but the current bubble is getting bigger and stronger every day. One of the main reasons for the current dot-com boom is the skyrocketing growth of the search engine industry. No longer the territory of geekdom, search has exploded into the mainstream over the past few years and businesses are falling over themselves to get seen by online searchers. And they'll pay big bucks to search engines for the privilege.

Have you noticed that Google shares recently hit USD 500 EACH? It's not a coincidence. Search giants like Google, Yahoo and AOL can't fail to make money because everybody wants a bit of the search action. There's no denying it, search is HOT, HOT, HOT.

2) It's Considered one of Four Jobs on the Cutting Edge

According to a recent article on MSN Careers, the position of Search Engine Optimizer is considered one of four jobs on the cutting edge right now. Who gave it this title? A representative from the world's largest specialized recruitment firm - Robert Half International Inc.

Search Engine Optimization is considered a sub-set of Search Engine Marketing. If you're unsure what a Search Engine Optimizer (SEO) does, below is a definition provided by MSN Careers:

"Search engine optimizers (SEOs) increase a firm's Web site traffic by improving its search-engine page rankings. This is an especially important task in today's Internet-driven world, where many customers first learn of an organization and its products or services through the Web. Because of a shortage of experts in this relatively new area, many top SEOs receive multiple job offers. SEOs typically supplement their knowledge of how various search engines operate and determine
page rankings with strong marketing skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively and program using HTML."

Wikipedia also defines Search Engine Optimizers here.

3) The Pay is Fantastic

A job in the search industry can be unbelievably lucrative. As noted recently by Jennifer Laycock of Search Engine Guide, "There are quite literally more jobs than there are skilled marketers and salaries can skyrocket to almost embarrassing levels."

Have you seen the type of salaries that search engine marketing and search engine optimization consultants are currently commanding in the US? Clearly, the search industry is making some people rich. Here are some typical salaries in USD:

Entry level SEO/SEM position = $30-45K
Three to five years experience / online account managers =
$50-75K
Five + years / organic SEO specialists = $75-90K
Senior management level = $70-120K
SEM Director = $95-150K
VP Level = $100-315K

From Search Engine Watch Forums

4) You Don't Need a College Degree

Because the search industry is relatively young, there are only a handful of online courses and certifications offered in the field of Search Engine Marketing (Search Engine College being one such training provider).

Most search engine marketing practitioners are self-taught, learning the trade by experimenting with their own sites, researching trends, attending conferences and participating in discussion forums and so employers don't generally require SEO / SEM certification or a tertiary qualification as a pre-requisite for a position in the industry.

However, candidates who hold a marketing degree or specific industry certification in Search Engine Marketing may well have an edge over their fellow applicants when it comes to interview selection.

5) You Can Learn it all Online

Everything you need to know to become a Search Engine Marketer, you can learn online. All the information is out there, you just have to find it. To become an expert in SEO / SEM, you need to do research, research and more research. Read everything you can get your hands on relating to search on a daily basis, including articles, forums, ebooks, blogs and newsfeeds. Then you need to put this knowledge into practice by experimenting with your own sites, or finding guinea pig sites to practice on such as those of friends, family or charity sites until you find the methods that give you the best results. Programming knowledge is not a pre-requisite for SEO / SEM jobs, but it does help to learn basic HTML. There are plenty of free HTML tutorials online.

If you don't fancy years of research or are in a hurry to jump-start your career in search, consider taking an online Certification course in one of the many Search Engine Marketing disciplines such as the Certification Pathways provided by Search Engine College. These type of courses are usually tutor-led and designed to fast-track your training and ensure you gain the right type of skills to make you immediately employable within the search industry.

6) You Can Be Your Own Boss

Because most of the work you'll be doing is online, Search Engine Optimizers and Search Engine Marketers often have the freedom of choice to work for an employer, work from home and/or freelance. Many SEO / SEM freelancers end up hiring workers and starting their own company due to the massive demand. This gives search engine marketing experts the work from home lifestyle that others can only dream of.

7) Search Marketing Has the WOW Factor

Once they know what they're doing, it's very easy for a Search Engine Marketer to wow their clients. The difference that a successful SEO or PPC campaign can make to a client's bottom line is substantial. I've seen online conversion rates for a client zoom from 1% to a massive 5% after just two small tweaks to their web site. And although rankings are not as important as actual conversions, clients still get very excited to see their site listed in the top 10 search results for certain keywords. It's the WOW factor in action.

8) The Demand is Strong and Growing

As mentioned in relation to search engine salaries, there are literally many more jobs than there are skilled marketers to fill them. This extreme demand means Search Engine Marketers can pick and choose their jobs and/or clients. The more skilled marketers are head-hunted regularly. For Search Engine Optimization firms, there are more than enough clients to go around and rarely a need to advertise for new business. That's why you often find SEOs turning away clients or recommending their competitors during extremely busy periods.

Experts in select specialties such as Pay Per Click Advertising (a sub-set of Search Engine Marketing) are currently enjoying even higher demand than usual, as advertisers out-bid each other to have their site shown for popular keyword searches on Google, Yahoo! and MSN. Another indicator of high demand is the sheer number of search-related job postings seen on employment sites such as those listed here.

9) The Industry is Hip and Groovy

There's something very trendy about people in search that I can't quite put my finger on. There's a constant buzz around them. If you've ever been to a search engine conference or to Google's headquarters you'll know what I mean. Maybe it's the fact that they've come from so many different professions. Or that the age range of search marketers varies from teens to Baby Boomers. Or their whacky dress sense.

Maybe it's the smell of money and happiness that they give off. Maybe it's the fact that they are constantly in the media. I don't know. All I know is that it's no longer uncool to be a geek. In fact it's downright hip to be square.

10) The Skills Are Portable and Global

Skills in search engine marketing are portable and global. You don't need to be at a desk, in an office or on the phone all day. You don't even need to meet your clients. Of all my clients, I've probably only met 20 percent of them and spoken to half of them on the phone or via chat. You can be on vacation for six months out of the year in various locations and still conduct business. You literally only need a computer and an Internet connection. The Internet is the universal equalizer. You can service clients in any country in the world, in many different languages. You can compete with one man operations and Fortune 500 companies on the same level playing field. The flexibility of the search industry is a huge advantage over other career options.
Have laptop, will travel!

11) Job Satisfaction is High

Search is a fascinating industry. With all the hype, daily gossip, corporate take-overs, start-ups and geek toys, I can guarantee that you won't get bored. This combined with the flexible work hours, low start-up costs, ability to be your own boss and the excellent income keeps job satisfaction high for Search Engine Marketers.

So what are you waiting for? Go get a job in search!

Home Business Idea: Virtual Assistant

Nell Taliercio

You've been thinking about starting a home based business that
will put you in the driver's seat of your career and make you
the boss. Good for you! Now you have to start evaluating your
options. There's so many different ways to work from home that
it can be intimidating just looking at all of the different
business ideas out there.

Performing administrative tasks for others is a popular home
based business option. If you're gifted with a good variety of
office skills and you're comfortable with the internet, perhaps
you would be well suited to start a Virtual Assistant business.

Virtual Assistants provide all kinds of support services to
others, mostly to other small business entrepreneurs and
internet marketers. Customer service, telephone and email
support, data entry, website maintenance, internet research,
and media relations are just a few common tasks.

You don't have to have all of the above skills, you can choose
to focus on a specialty in your own business and offer the
tasks that you do best. You'll attract the clients who need
what you have to offer.

Clients do like to work with one VA who understands their
business really well, so over time you will want to develop new
skills so that you can fulfill as many of their needs as
possible. But remember why you wanted to be your own boss; it
isn't so that you can spend all of your time doing what you do
not enjoy. You can always outsource tasks that you don't like
to other virtual assistants.

A Virtual Assistant business is fairly simple to launch but
building your business and managing a growing client base can
be challenging. It helps to have advice and guidance from
others who have been where you are. Take care to choose your
mentor's carefully and remember that businesses aren't built
overnight. Your patience and perseverance will pay off in the
long run.

Home Business And MLM Opportunities: What Separates The Best From The Rest

S. Lamsa

Finding the Right One For You

Nowadays, MLM opportunities are everywhere. There has been an
exponential rise in the number of available MLM opportunities -
but that doesn't necessarily mean that there has been a
corresponding rise in the number of people who've made money
from such ventures. (Unless you count the people who started
the MLM company in the first place.) The MLM industry is
notorious for its scams - thousands of people have lost
millions of dollars in fraudulent ventures. In other words, if
you are not careful, you are liable to lose your money in this
business field.

This is not to say, of course, that all home business MLM
opportunities are automatically be classified as frauds. There
are people who run legitimate and profitable MLM businesses,
not simply the kind that collapses on itself after a period of
time. The problem for the casual observer, of course, is
separating the rare flower from the abundant thorns. In other
words, how can one spot a legitimate MLM opportunity?

The cardinal rule about finding the right home business MLM
opportunities is this: If it is too good to be true, it
probably is. MLM marketers are taught to exaggerate the
potential of their programs, and make it look as if the wealth
that you can generate will be effortless. All of this must be
seen as a sales pitch - they want you to buy into their
program, which will result in them earning a commission. Keep
in mind that there is no such thing as a free lunch. This rule
applies to everything in life; why should it be any different
in a business endeavor? Even if it is "residual income," you
obviously will have to do something to deserve it. In an MLM
opportunity makes everything look easy, then you can be sure
that something is wrong somewhere. A good, honest program, will
advise you of the difficulties of the endeavor without appearing
negative or optimistic.

Keep your rationality intact as you evaluate each separate home
business MLM opportunity. Don't let fear stop you from trying
out a venture, but don't let your greed get the best of you
either. A good, honest MLM opportunity won't give you
undeserved rewards. If they did, they won't be in business for
very long. Compensation must be realistic and commensurate to
achievements, just as in a real business undertaking. The first
question you should ask is, "where does the company get the
money to pay all the people like me?" If this question is not
easy to answer, alarm signals should start to go off inside
your head.

Above all, try to conduct business with people of only the
highest character, not simply those with the highest
intelligence or greatest ambition. After all, without the first
quality, the last two will kill you.

How To Start Your Own Successful Business

Article written by: Chris Angus

Running your own business can be a daunting experience, you
give up a secure income and go out and risk it all. If you have
a family it makes it even more nerve wracking.

However, the rewards can be brilliant. These include, more
money than you earned in your job and no boss that constantly
tells you what to do.

Like everything in life working for yourself has its up's and
downs. If you want to do really well you may find yourself
working long hours for little pay for the first few months
while you get yourself going.

It is normal for you to get slightly stress during this time
and ask yourself why you made the decision to move across.

You need to be patient at this point because in business,
things seem to have a habit of building like an elastic band,
there is nothing for a long while and then it all happens at
once.

Many people have said to me that they haven't started their own
business because they don't know what to sell.

This is rubbish because you can sell almost anything in this
world as long as there is a market for it.

You don't need to know everything about the product or have
loads of money behind you.

You can start off small and then grow big; it's not that hard,
it just takes patience, perseverance and hard work.

The first step to starting your own business is making the
decision to do so. The next step is then to stick with that
decision 100%.

You then need to decide what products to sell and find out
whether there is a market for it.

Once you have decided what you are going to sell you need to do
a cost analysis and see if the business is viable.

If it is possible to make a decent amount of profit and you can
live on what the business pays you then it is time to start
selling.

You need to market your product; the way you do this depends on
what your individual product is.

Every product will sell better or worse depending on how it is
marketed.

You may want to take an advert in a local paper or get some
flyers printed and then drop them off.

Maybe you can call some local businesses up and try and sell
them your product or service.

Once your product starts selling you need to reinvest as much
money in the business as possible and keep the profits in the
business.

Keep this going until your business is in a healthy situation
finically.

If you are diligent about the way you conduct your business,
you will reap the rewards.

Working for yourself is 1000 times better than working for
anyone else.

Remember, if you don't take the risk there is no chance that it
will ever happen.

Some Financial Pros And Cons Of Practicing Search Engine Optimisation Specifically For And In The Uk.

Article written by: Bill Kruse

Economic pragmatism would be the main reason. If I have a dispute with a client having an office in the UK - not that this ever happens, of course! - I can go to court in the UK and in the first instance get my case heard locally and in the second instance have the further option of sending the bailiffs round when the defaulter simply ignores any court judgment against them.

If the client is based abroad, then the chances of bringing them to book are remote and improbable if they exist at all. Being a one-man band, I don't deal in the sort of figures that
make extradition a realistic proposition, and suggestions of invasion or all-out war evaporate when I wake up. Nor, reverting to pragmatism again, is it feasible to sue them locally and, while the local public bar would no doubt be packed with eager volunteers, it's an expensive effort sending the boys round.

So from the point of view of resorting to legal redress, sticking to UK based clients makes sense.

It can be embarrassing, though, working in the UK and trying to explain our archaic and exploitative banking system. Clients from more enlightened countries (read; anywhere else on the planet) find it hard to believe that the money they sent by bank transfer a week or so ago has yet to emerge from that mysterious bourne where money temporarily vanishes to when it
enters the British banking system and appear in my account. "Certainly we paid it", they indignantly assert in response to my timid query about, er, actual payment for my services. I
feel like an idiot trying to explain that despite the interim period I still haven't seen hide not hair of any remittance.

I've known my bank to indignantly deny any knowledge of any monies being in the system the very day before it appears in my account, right up till closing time. I've logged into my online account the next morning and there the money is, in some cases to my intense relief. Paypal money can be transferred between international accounts in a matter of moments, so how can the banks possibly justify not operating at the same speed? My guess would be that they can't justify it but a succession of supine governments allows them to get away with this, bad for all other business though it is.

This regularly presents me with a dilemma - has the client paid me for the work already carried out or not? Should I do more work for them effectively on their say so - and remember, this is likely to be someone I've never met or spoken to even on the telephone, that's the nature of the business, you communicate by email - or do I do work instead for a known and reliable client who lives, relatively speaking, just up the road? Obviously, I have to do work for the known client as I can't live on assurances, which in some cases can mightily displease those whose patronage I would dearly love in order to be able to expand my business. Rosy visions of future prosperity have been known to gloomily recede under these circumstances.

So there's good and there's bad aspects to practicing search engine optimisation in the UK.

4 Things You Should Know Before Starting An Ebiz

By: Chris Malta & Robin Cowie

Advice from an Auction Genius

Renowned eBiz author Sydney Johnson created the now-famous
Auction Genius courses (http://AuctionGenius.com) to aid people
wanting to create their own e-businesses. She shares some
important tips for anyone looking to learn the online retail
industry:

Tip 1-Start Small.

Many of Johnson's students are eager to dive in head first,
ready to invest all their savings into overseas imports or
shopping network returns. But Johnson discourages such risky
moves for two reasons.

. They haven't considered all the costs-the enormous minimum
quantities they'll have to buy to get the discounted prices or
the tremendous costs of shipping imports.

. They have little experience and, therefore, no way of knowing
all that these transactions entail.
Says Johnson, "You're going to make mistakes. The way to
minimize any kind of horrible error is to go very small." Don't
invest a lot to start with-learn with inexpensive items. Start
with a minimum investment; and as you begin to make a profit,
put that money back into your business rather than buying new
golf clubs or tennis shoes.

Tip 2-Research the Market and Test your Results.

As you go, you'll learn which products sell well and where
you're actually making a profit. Johnson has a "funnel theory"
on finding your product niche: "You start really broad.you have
huge categories. And then you learn how to do your market
research and you funnel down and.get smaller and smaller until
out the other end of the funnel comes a handful of products
that you can really do well with."

Tip 3-Start on eBay

EBay is a great tool for beginners just learning about online
retail. There are several reasons why it's a smart place to
start:

. It's quick, easy, and inexpensive.

. The traffic is built in, and the people that are seeing your
listings are seeing them because they're searching for your
type of product.

. It's a good way to get exposed to the ins and outs of the
business.

Tip 4-There's No Such Thing as "Get Rich Quick!"

Starting an e-business is just like starting any other
business-it takes patience and persistence. Don't expect to be
magically rolling in money overnight. And don't just jump at
every "opportunity" that comes along for fear of missing out.
Research it first-if it sounds too good to be true.well, you
know... If you take the time to understand what you're doing,
there's plenty of room in the e-commerce industry for you to
make money.

4 Strategies To Help You To Make Money From Your Website

By: Trey Pennewell

People always seem to be looking for new ways to make money

online. There is nothing wrong with being innovative and trying
new methods to make money online. The problem comes up when
people, seeking new methods, forget to pay attention to the
proven methods of making money online.

What has worked in the past for successful webmasters is still
working today, and will likely continue to work into the
foreseeable future. There are 4 primary areas that a webmaster
must focus on to be successful. These four areas are important
regardless of the type of website you run or the product or
service that you sell.

Conversions

Conversions are critical. You can get a million visitors to your
site, but that means nothing if none of them make a purchase at
your site. Conversions are calculated as the percentage of people
that make a purchase at your site, compared to the number of
total visitors.

The higher your conversion rate, the less traffic that you need
to your site. Many webmasters struggle with getting that
all-important traffic to their site. So instead of exclusively
chasing traffic, also work on increasing the amount of traffic
that you can convert into sales. There are a number of ways that
you can do this with your online business.

Many webmasters understand that having a compelling sales letter,
or sales pitch, is crucial. If you do not have the best possible
sales letter, then you are losing potential customers. If you do
not feel comfortable writing your own sales letter, consider
hiring a copywriter to do it for you. You could also ask the
copywriter to develop a few sales letters for your business, and
you can do a comparitive analysis to see which ones bring the
best conversion results for your business.

You can also improve your conversion ratio by paying attention to
the layout of your web pages. There are a lot of different
opinions on the best layouts for selling your products or
services. For me there are a couple of easy ways to determine web
page layouts.

The first thing that I consider is what I like and dislike about
other websites. Is it hard to find the product on the page? Is
the price hidden? Is a description of the product easy to find?
Is the ordering information easy to find?

The other factor that I look at is what successful webmasters
before me have done with their layout. There is no need to
reinvent the wheel here. Instead of spending weeks trying to
develop my own perfect layout, I will start with a template
similar to those that are known for making high conversions.

Linking For Traffic

Now that we have covered conversions, we can talk about linking
for traffic. While your conversions may be very good, it will
never be 100%. So what this means is that the more of that
precious traffic you get (at whatever conversion rate you are
getting) will result in more sales and more money. It is known
that the more links you have to your website, the more traffic
that you will get. The links to your site are critical in driving
traffic.

First of all, people click those links. I value a link from a
high traffic website as much or more than a link from a high
PageRank site, because actual humans are likely to be clicking
the link to my website. I also place a very high value on having
articles published in ezines and newsletters, because it always
results in a nice boost in my website's traffic. The amount of
traffic that comes as a result of having an article published in
an ezine or newsletter will of course vary depending on the
number of subscribers on the list.

A certain percentage of readers will always click the links that
I have in a webpage or an ezine. And, a certain percentage of
those who visit my website will convert to sales. Having my link
appear in some ezines or newsletters can literally translate to
thousands or tens of thousands of visitors to my website in a
single day!

If you utilize article distributions, you can often get your
articles published on a variety of websites and ezines. These
articles will have your link in the author box, and you will also
have the opportunity to discuss your web site and the products or
services that you offer in your author box. This being said, the
more effort you put into writing a good article and author box,
the more likely you are to get some traffic as a result.

Linking Popularity

Building links for search engine placement purposes is just as
important as linking for traffic. The more relevant back links
that you have coming into your site, the higher your website will
rank in the major search engines for your keywords. Back links
are one of the best ways that you can get your online business to
rank near the top of the search engines for your niche.

Be sure to use an anchor text on those links that is the same or
similar to the keywords that you are targeting. Also, try to get
those back links from relevant sites as much as possible. By
this, I mean try to get those links from sites and webpages that
have something in common with your site. A link from a webpage
about bird watching will have little in common with your website
about automobiles.

To illustrate the importance of back links, look at Digg.com
(http://www.google.com/search?q=link%3ahttp%3a%2f%2fdigg%2ecom).
They have a whopping 131,000 back links, which is why they are
one of the most popular social book marking sites on the
Internet.

Link Baiting

Link baiting is a great way to get those important back links,
both for traffic and for link popularity. But, what is link
baiting? It is when you have something so interesting / amusing /
informative / useful that people will want to link to you,
without you asking them to do so. Having something on your site
that people will blog about, tell their friends about, or to send
emails to their contacts about, is what constitutes link baiting.
Your bait is so powerful that the fish will basically jump into
the boat, without you ever needing to ask!

What kind of things work as link bait? This will depend a lot on
the audience that you are trying to reach. In the SEO world, good
link bait is placing free webmaster tools on your site. This
means that people will bookmark the site; refer to it on forums,
and possibly blog about what they learned by using your free
webmaster tools.

If you are able to grow a reputation among your niche market as
an expert, people will cite you and your website because of the
quality information that you offer. If you run a humor site,
people will forward the URL to their friends and tell them to
check out a certain page.

Link baiting is also why the social book marking is exploding in
popularity. If you have an article that gets onto the front page
of Digg.com via link baiting, you will have an explosion in
traffic. The same can be said for all of the major social
bookmarking sites.

Link baiting is all about offering something unique that people
will want to tell their friends about and that they will want to
talk about. Spend some serious time thinking about what you can
offer to your customer base that will result in successful link
baiting for your website.

In Conclusion...

If you spend your time focusing on these 4 ways to make money
with your online business, you are sure to be well ahead of most
of your competitors. Optimize your site for conversions, build
links for traffic, create links for popularity, and dangle some
link bait for others to share, and you will find your customer
base beginning to grow, and you will see your sales will start to
improve.

Five Tips For WAHM's To Remain Professional When Working From Home

By Top Wahm

Work At Home Mums: The better you look, the better you will feel,
the better you will sell!

Today's entrepreneur competition is tightening daily. Looking
professional when working from home is now a must. It will help
curb the "Get a real job." comments. Also, when communicating
with your customers via e-mail or telephone, you will
unsurprisingly come across more professional and this can
affect your profits in a positive way. We have collected five
tips to help you to keep up a professional appearance, even
when no one is looking.

Tip #1: The Early Bird Gets the Worm!

This old stand-by is truer than ever. Getting up before you
children, your husband and before any professional obligations
need to be tended to, gives you a professional start. Wake up,
wash your face, style your hair and dress professional casual.
You may not have a need for strict professional dress. So, just
dress as you would if you were to meet your customers in person.
This will positively affect your performance, your drive and
your vocal tone when communicating with your customers.

Tip #2: Clear the Junk!

It may sound easier said than done, but it could be the
difference in your total sales for the year. Clear your
workspace. You can take old shoeboxes (Ask your local shoes
tore for left over boxes) and create mini file cabinets for all
of your knick-knacks that pile up over time. Be sure to label
them! Magazine holders are great ways to store file folders
that you need to keep at close range, such as those for current
or open projects. Also, use a pleasant smelling cleaner or air
freshener.

Tip #3: Create a Professional Assistant!

Cutie greetings on your answering machine will not do. Record a
professional and direct message. For inspiration, call a large
company and listen to theirs. Also, there are several answering
services that cater to WAHM's and small businesses. That way,
when you need to focus on your family, you can still have a
professional appearance and never miss a call. And finally, get
rid of the free service e-mail addresses. Nothing says busniess
like a serious e-mail address. BoblovesbettyATyoohoo.com does
not inspire confidence in those who are looking to work with
you.

Tip #4: Print Professional Business Cards!

Home printed business cards are so very 1995. Printing and
computer design may not have anything to do with your business,
but the appearance of professionalism does. You can get one
thousand business cards professionally printed for around $20.
Search around and see what suits your business. Keep in mind
that just like your answering machine greeting and your e-mail
account name, keep the cutie stuff out.

Tip #5: Set your Own Hours!

Finally! The one thing they always promised you when you we
told about working from home! Let's rein it in. You have to set
your business hours. Have an open time, a time for lunch and a
time to turn off the computer. The tighter your hours of
business, the better you can manage the family side of your
life. Obviously there is wiggle room for overtime, just try to
keep your work hours from pilfering your family time!

Remember, although you may never meet with your customers in
person, how you prepare yourself will significantly affect the
attitude your customers will notice. They will trust you more
with their money, and you will win the battle for business over
your competition, even if the competition charges less. So go
set your alarm for tomorrow morning, right now!

Start Your Home Business With The Right Attitude

By Larry McCullough

Getting Started on any business venture whether online or off,
starts with the right attitude. YOU HAVE TO WANT TO DO IT!

What goes through your mind when you sign up? Do you think that once you do the money will start flowing? If you do then you have the wrong attitude. You have to plan and then work your plan.

Let me explain. Usually when you sign up for a business you
have a sponsor. A sponsor's job is to support you and help you
with tips and tools to help you grow your business. Your
sponsor is also there to help you with prospects if you just
started and not sure of all the inner workings of the business.

But when it comes to working your business, it is up to you. It
is your responsibility to read and find out how the compensation
plan works. It is your responsibility to find out what products
are available for you to sell. It is your responsibility to
read the latest updates and newsletters from the business or
your sponsor so you will know what is going on at all times.
Get the picture?

When you signed up for a business, you did it for a reason.
What ever that reason was only you know. But if you signed up
to make money, You have to get involved and work it to do so.

I understand that a high percentage of people signing up to try
and make money online are new and do not have a clue on where to start or are afraid because they think they will be scammed or lose a lot of money. Your sponsor can help you with this. (But I also highly recommend that you do not sign up for business on
line without at least 2 years in existence.). I have not found a
business yet that do not try and help you succeed. Go to the
discussion boards, read your newsletters and the latest
updates. If you REALLY want to make money it can happen.

Working ANY business is only as hard as you make it. You can
make it easy with the right attitude and the desire to succeed.
You can Make it happen.
