Here at Search Engine College we offer a range of search engine marketing courses designed to teach you everything you need to know about successfully promoting a web site via search engines.
Course topics include search engine optimization (SEO), pay-per-click search engine advertising (PPC), website copywriting, website usability, keyword-research, link building strategies, copywriting for PPC and article marketing & distribution.
Because the topics of search engine optimization and pay-per-click search engine advertising tend to be quite complex, we offer both Starter and Advanced courses in these subjects.
We also offer Certification Pathways, a series of bundled Certification courses that prepare persons who want to jump-start their career path in the fast-paced search engine industry.
Choose a Course Style to Suit You:
1. Certification – These courses are tutor-supervised with a tutor assigned to guide students through the lesson material and review their assignments. Students who want to receive industry-recognized SEC Certification for a particular subject must take the Certification version of the course under tutor-supervision and make a 70% overall pass.
2. Self Study – Students who take a course via self-study do not receive tutor-supervision, do not submit assignments and do not qualify for SEC Certification.
Both course styles are based on the same lesson material. To learn more about the differences between our Certification and Self Study course versions, please see our FAQs.
No matter what your skill level, you should be able to find a course suitable for your needs in the list below:
Certification Courses
Our Certification courses are tutor-supervised with tutors assigned to each course to guide students through the material and review their assignments. Students who want to receive industry-recognized SEC Certification for a particular subject must take the Certification version of a course under tutor-supervision.
Students who take a course under tutor-supervision must receive at least a 70% pass on their quizzes and final exam AND complete set assignments to the satisfaction of their tutor in order to qualify for SEC Certification.
Tutors must review the assignments of students taking a Certification course before SEC Certification will be granted. There will be no set grade for assignments, except for Pass (competent) or Fail (incompetent). Students who fail an assignment initially will be given one additional opportunity to submit an assignment for re-grading by tutors.
Our Certification courses include:
Keyword-Research (available soon!)
Article Marketing & Distribution
Certified Search Engine Optimizer (3 courses)
Certified Pay Per Click Marketer (3 courses)
Certified Search Engine Marketer (5 courses)
Self Study Courses
The self-study courses are fully self-guided without feedback from tutors.
Students who prefer not to receive SEC Certification can take a course via the Self Study method. These students receive the same lesson materials as Certification students, but do not receive tutor-supervision, do not submit assignments and do not qualify for SEC Certification. Self-study courses are between $50 and $100 cheaper than Certification versions, depending on the course.
All courses consist primarily of downloadable course material and online resources together with weekly lesson review quizzes and a final exam for completion at your own pace, in a time-frame that suits you. The lesson material used is the same for both course styles.
The biggest difference between our online course styles is the industry certification, as well as the tutor-graded assignments and one-on-one guidance you get from tutor-led certification courses. We offer two course styles to give students the ability to choose the learning style that suits them best.
Our Self Study courses include:
Keyword-Research (available soon!)
Article Marketing Distribution
