Kalena Jordan (Co-Founder)

Kalena Jordan was one of the first search engine optimization experts in Australia and New Zealand and is well known and respected in the industry, particularly in the U.S.

With her in-depth knowledge of Internet marketing techniques and a decade of experience in search engine optimization for client web sites, she decided to specialize and set up her own SEO company Web Rank (now renamed Jordan Consulting Group) in 1999.

As well as being Co-Founder of Search Engine College, Kalena is Director of Studies and Tutor for all SEO and PPC courses. Her previous roles have included SEO Manager for a web development firm, Public Relations consultant, Freelance web site designer, Marketing Manager for a computer systems firm and five years as Public Relations Advisor to the Royal Thai Government. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Newcastle, Australia.

Kalena is a member of SEO Consultants and SEO Pros and has spoken at the popular Search Engine Strategies Conferences. She is also a moderator at the Search Engine Watch Forums. Kalena is the author of The Search Light newsletter and the popular "Ask Kalena..." Search Engine Advice Column.

Gerald Jordan (Co-Founder)

Gerald has extensive experience in Business Management and Search Engine Marketing and his qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts, a Master of Business Administration, a Graduate Certificate in Teaching Languages and a Master of Education.

As well as being Co-Founder of SEC, Jerry is Director of IT and Course Development. His expertise includes online course development, pay-per-click campaigns, implementing Course Management Systems and Content Management Systems, proofreading and web site analytics/metrics analysis.

Bob Gladstein

Bob Gladstein of Raise My Rank Services found his way into SEO by accident. After making the decision to change careers he studied application development and HTML, and got his first job as a programmer, but found that his company's web site was in dire need of help. His efforts to improve the site led to a redesign and an expansion, and he then started looking into ways to improve its visibility and usability. Once he discovered a few optimization newsletters and fora, the site became his full-time occupation.

Since he became a freelance SEO, Bob has worked on sites of non-profit organizations and small to medium sized businesses, concentrating on content, clean code, style sheets, proper document structure, and thematic linking. He also serves as moderator on two SEO fora, and is actively involved with SEOPros.

Kim Krause Berg

Hired by such companies as Unisys and Verticalnet, Kim has worked as a User Interface Engineer and eventually moved into the Quality Assurance Software Testing field, where it was her job to test and develop the methodology for in-house web site usability. During the dot-com crash of 2001, Kim was laid off and within 6 hours was hired by a company seeking a sub-contractor to test and project manage their proprietary Internet application for a large firm.

This allowed her to expand Cre8pc.com services and work from a home office full-time. In August 2002 the old Cre8pc club was changed to Cre8asiteForums, where it quickly became one of the leading web design forums on the Internet and the first to begin spreading the importance of web site usability.

Today, Kim is focused solely on usability and user interface web site testing using the cognitive walkthrough and heuristic evaluation methodologies.

Kim's articles have been published in HighRankings Advisor, Search Engine Guide and ISEDB.com.

She's a contributing author for Successful-Sites and the Search Engine Roundtable. She helped found the network of web site properties called Cre8asite Network, which features a Resource Library and Cre8tive Flow Blog.

She expresses herself in a more casual environment via her own Cre8pc SEO and Usability Blog and remains a dedicated member of The Creative Enterprises Network, an online merchants' association made up of owners of small or home-based businesses.

Karon Thackston is owner of Marketing Words, Inc. a full-service copywriting company specializing in search engine copywriting.
