How Does Affiliate Marketing Work On The Internet

By David Fishman

Are you a webmaster that needs to make money? There are many different reasons that people decide they want to make money with work at home jobs. When you see the ads for work from home and make thousands of dollars per week, most of these are scams and they specifically designed to take your money, most people end up making no money at all. You too can earn money through the Internet even if you don't have products to sell and high-profile and established company.

Affiliate products are products that customer only need to purchase the one time. So they start to spend more on a wider variety of products and / or services. All marketing webmasters who are using PPC choose keywords to promote their products, but the inexperienced marketers using these PPC Systems will be weeded out because they do not understand that it take many
visits to make a sale. Experienced marketers are always adjusting their sales pages and they have deep pockets to continue to pay for the high bid keywords.

Affiliate programs are sometimes referred to as associate programs or referral programs. Why spend so much money and so much time bringing in affiliates who are immediately directed to other programs as soon as they join. But as the affiliate environment changes, affiliate programs must change as well.

Blogs are virtual traffic magnets that can be instrumental in generating a massive income, so if you're not taking advantage of this strategy I would recommend that you begin today. This
will build a steady stream of traffic that won't stop, even if search engines decide to cut you off. Link exchanges will drive traffic to your website from partner sites. The merchant provides the affiliate with the tools they need to drive traffic to the merchant's site.

Examples of highly successful affiliate programs to look at and learn from are amazon. Being successful in affiliate marketing will not happen overnight.

Affiliates are just other people who have websites that are selling other peoples products, when they sell the products they make a commission on the sale. When your referrals click the link and make a purchase, you get paid a sales commission on the sale.

Pre-selling is basically "warming up" your visitor to click to the merchant site and want to buy something. When you put the affiliate link on your site and someone clicks on the link a cookie is placed on the customer who clicked your link, the cookie holds your affiliate ID, this is how you receive credit for the sale. Affiliate marketing is a large business in the internet today, the affiliate will market the merchant's products, build the traffic and generate revenue, this is done free of charge and the affiliate make the money when they make a sale.

Keyword research, web page building, article writing and submission, and getting links to your site are all dull and repetitive, but are vital to your success.

There are many affiliate programs, just search on the internet and join up and start selling.

12 Simple Steps to Effective Websites

By: Nancy Fraser

In a beautiful pea green boat, They took some honey, and plenty of money, Wrapped up in a five pound note.

Edward Lear must have had some precognition about what was in store for us all with the development of the internet when he wrote this nonsensical poem.

Many people do feel at sea after they launch their website and attempt to navigate the sometimes confusing channels of the internet. They wonder why their website doesn't get more traffic and why their inbox is not filling up with emails from people clamoring to buy their products or services.

It seems that the rules change as often as Oprah changes her clothes and who could ever hope to keep up with that!

Price quotes for search engine optimization are all over the map; the process seems never-ending and expensive.

How is it that some people seem to have great success on the web without spending a huge amount of money? Is it unrealistic to think that you can make a living working on the web?

When faced with a seemingly overwhelming challenge it helps to break things down into bite-sized pieces.

Effective websites should include the following:

1. Your website needs to focus on a specific niche.

2. You need to do keyword research and although Google no longer gives weight to Meta keywords some of the other major search engines still do.

3. Your website should have the main keyword used throughout and each page should be written around 5-10 keywords that are tightly focused on that particular page's topic.

4. Content is still King. Well written, focused content is crucial.

5. Meta titles need to include your keywords.

6. Organization of content should include headings and subtitles to make it easy for readers to scan the pages. Be sure to include your keywords in these headings as well.

7. Most people on the web are looking for information. If you don't give them anything of value or entertain them, they will be gone, probably for good.

8. Use keywords in links where ever possible.

9. Include a call to action and if possible offer a Free trial. You have to build trust before you can make a sale.

10. Check your website in various browsers (FireFox, Internet Explorer, etc.) to make sure it displays equally well in all.

11. Your personality is what attracts people to you so why would you create a generic website with all of the excitement of a flat glass of pop. Keep the content fresh so it has Fizz!

12. Most importantly, have realistic expectations of what you want to achieve with your website. With all the hype about overnight successes on the internet it's difficult to put your results into perspective. If you expect instant success and it isn't happening it's easy to become demoralized and quit before you reach your goal.

Some Other Important Web Marketing Tips

Google page rank counts! The higher your page rank number the higher you will rank in user searches. How do you find out your page rank? Download the Google toolbar here for Internet Explorer
http://toolbar.google.com/T4/ or here for FireFox
http://tools.google.com/firefox/toolbar/install.html.

Improve your page rank by encouraging other highly ranked websites in complementary businesses to link to yours and by developing content with a niche focus. Page rank is also affected by traffic numbers. A couple of ways you can boost traffic are pay-per-click advertising and posting articles on the web.

Your web image is at least as important as your personal image. You wouldn't go out to meet a prospective client wearing a mishmash of styles and colours but many businesses have websites with tools that don't work, tables and text that are out of alignment, old information, dated colours, and confusing navigation. Those things are bad enough but when an experienced web developer looks at the code on a website they often find a website that looks good but is not built to encourage search traffic.

Be prepared like the wise owl and make the job of marketing your business as easy as possible with a website that enhances your brand image and is technically sound and purrrr your way to
success.

Will 2007 Really Be Different For Your Online Business?

By Willie Crawford

"Will 2007 really be different for your online business?" That's a question that I asked myself, and that I had many of my clients honestly evaluate at the end of 2006.

The answer has to be that unless you do something differently in 2007 than you did in 2006, then 2007 is very likely to be a repeat of 2006.

That reality should horrify many people!

For many "Internet marketers," which is the category that most of my clients put themselves in, having 2007 be drastically different means focusing on making five major changes. Here they are:

1) Better Time Management

We all have only 24 hours in a day, yet some of us get 100 times more done in those 24 hours than others. There are a number of secrets to getting more done in less time. One of those secrets is to actually calculate the value of your time. Simply take your income goal and divide it by the number of hours that you are willing to invest to reach that goal. That will give you a crude dollar figure to use for the "value of your time." It will also make it easier for you to end "time-wasters" such as calls from tele-marketers.

Once you have a dollar value for your time, then you only need to DO those things that you can't afford to get someone else to do cheaper (provided it's something that merits doing). For example, if you value your time at $100 per hour, then you should not spend 2 hours designing a web graphic that you can hire someone else to do for $25. Although that makes perfect sense, many people worth $1000 per hour spend a lot of time doing $5 per hour work.

Don't you fall into that trap.

To learn to properly value your time, I recommend getting, reading, and implementing things taught in Dan Kennedy's time management book. It's called "No BS Time Management For Entrepreneurs - The Ultimate No Holds Barred Kick Butt Take NO Prisoners Guide To Time Productivity & Sanity. It's a great book that you can order through online bookstores.

2) Focusing On Things That Provide The Best Return On Investment

This is closely related to number one, but it means that you need to decide which of the hundreds of possible business models and methodologies you should be using as your business model.

Everyday, you'll be exposed to dozens of proven ways to grow your business, your website and your income. You can only realistically learn and implement a few of them!

Choose one or two methods,or tactics, to grow your business, and then IGNORE the rest. My friend Russell Brunson does this brilliantly. For example, when he looks at website traffic generation, he works on just the things that does best. He actually has staff members who each specialize in different methods of traffic generation. This is something Russell recently shared with my subscribers on a teleseminar.

Russell is a master at doing the things that provide him with the best return-on-investment. He is also a master at outsourcing the rest. You should check out this brilliant young marketers system! You'll find it at: http://DotComSecrets.com/willie/

3) Stop Jumping From Project To Project

Inability to focus on one project, and see it through to completion, "kills" more Internet marketers than anything that I've observed. We all have dozens of brilliant idea, and we don't know which one to focus on. We're afraid that if we focus on one, we'll miss out on another.

By failing to select ONE of our ideas/projects and focusing on implementing it, we end up not seeing anything through to profitability. That tells you that the very simple solution is to "just choose one." It's a little more complicated than that, in that you should choose the one that means the most to you, and that fits in most with your long-term objectives. However, you DO at some point have to simply choose.

Don't worry about making the wrong choice. We live in a universe with millions of choices, and any of them can take you down a different path. Being too paralyzed by fear to choose, is making
the decision to make no changes.

If it helps, allow me to share with you several of my choices that I made while transitioning to 2007.

One choice was to spend less time in the minutia, and to spend more time on high value transactions. To do that I turned to a friend who has earned 8-figures online in the past two years. I figured that he could teach me a thing or two, so I'm learning from him. I'm so committed to the projects, that he's leading me to, that I registered a domain just for that purpose...
http://8FiguresIn2007.com

The domain name above shows you why I focused on that choice. I saw the level of potential and committed to making it a reality.

A second choice that I made was to revamp my coaching and mentoring program. I coach and mentor aspiring online marketers primarily because I enjoy seeing struggling individuals with
dreams make those dreams a reality.

Where I revamped my coaching program was to change my pricing structure, and the application process, so that only those willing to put in the necessary effort are inducted into my
coaching program. That way, my new clients and I don't waste a lot of time dealing with people whom we shouldn't be dealing with. This frees up more time for me to work with very focused
people who have "a burning desire," a willingness to put in the effort, and simply the right personality that enables us to work together.

With coaching and mentoring in particular, it is a one-on-one venture, and you should only work with those that are appropriate for you to work with. Doing otherwise merely cheats you, and those that you should be working with instead.

4) Get A Manager/Mentor or Accountability Partner

Back in 2002, one of my "heroes" told me that I needed "a manager." That shocked me at first, but then he explained that, left to our own devices, most of us will spend most of our time doing things that aren't the highest and best use of our time.

He went on to explain that this is why top athletes, politician, celebrities, and savvy executives have "managers."

Reflecting upon my career in the military, I once served as an "executive office" to a commander. My job was to plan and control his schedule. He would come to work and I'd tell him who he was meeting with that day or that week... and why. I even told him when he had lunch appointments with family :-)

Not all of us are so in-demand that we need someone to help decide what we should be spending our time on. Some of us just need an "accountability partner"... someone that we can tell our plans to and then ask them to hold us accountable for accomplishing them. This would be a person that we give permission to push us a little. We give them permission to tell us when we're doing ourselves a disservice.

An accountability partner can be someone you meet at a seminar, or even on an online discussion forum. It can also be a formal coach or mentor. I serve as an accountability partner for several dozen people. They ALL have to go through an application process (set up on my website) first. You can see the process at:
http://WillieCrawford.com/mentoring.html

A coach, mentor, or accountability partner can help you to get more done is many areas of your life. For example, many people make resolutions this time of the year to exercise more. The secret is to have a workout partner (an accountability partner) that you jointly make that commitment with. Then, on those mornings when you'd really rather sleep late, it's knowing that you have someone at the track or gym waiting for you that will get you motivated.

5) Form Strategic Partnerships and Joint Ventures

We all learned long ago that "no man is an Island unto himself." If you're trying to do everything yourself, you're not going to get very much done. In the online world "lone wolves" never succeed massively ... that I've seen.

You need to partner and form joint ventures with others who compliment your skills and interests. For example, if you are great a starting projects, but never finish them, then you need
to partner with "a finisher" (generally someone who pays close attention to the details).

Over the past 2 months I've interviewed DOZENS of the top online marketers. I often asked them how they got to where they are. Our conversations also often drifted to other online marketers and those marketers' secrets to success.

Without exception, all of the top marketers that we discussed, and that I've studied, did NOT get their all by themselves. They had mentors, they formed alliances, and they sometimes had people who gave them a big break.

Going back to my career as a military office, the single biggest identifiable factor that I saw that enabled an officer to rise from "Second Lieutenant" to "General" was having a "sponsor." This was someone at the top who took an interest in them and guided them.

When I look at Internet marketing, I DO see a similar system. When someone already near the top reaches out and guides you, and introduces you to their influential friends, it does increase your chances of moving up the ladder. This is only common sense.

I'll close this article by sharing with you that the online community set up to facilitate many of the things outlined above is called "The Internet Marketing Inner Circle."

Yes, there is such a creature. You'll find it at:
http://TheInternetMarketingInnerCircle.com

Now back to the original question...

"Will 2007 Really Be Different For Your Online Business?"

It can't be different unless you do things differently.

Just food for thought as we transition into a new year.

How To Earn $65 Per Lead And $8 Per Adsense Click With A Simple Site Or Blog In The Multi Billion Dollar Credit Card Niche

By Tuks Engineer

There are some niche markets that you really have to participate in as a content publisher because of their pure potential for digital profits. I've been going on about markets such as investment, real estate and travel for a while because all of them have cash-rich prospects and offer multiple opportunities to earn from a mix of big-ticket affiliate programs, information products, Adsense & more.

I've been wanting to introduce this niche to you for awhile. Why? Because yes it returns over 8 million searches online every month, Adsense per click values get close to double figures and there are a mass of big-name affiliate programs to promote. But there's something even bigger.

The reason I believe it just HAS to form part of your product portfolio is the shocking pay per lead programs offered by certain big name companies which affords you the possibility of earning a whopping $65 per lead just for the prospect filling out an approved form. As pay per leads go, this is the holy grail and I'll tell you exactly where to find this affiliate program in the download area.

Why The Credit Card Niche Is A Dream Come True For Content Publishers Around The World

It's estimated that the credit card business is worth $50 billion in the United States alone, and the total amount of credit card debt in America is over $800 billion. Those are staggering facts, and from the point of view of a content publisher you ought to be licking your lips in delight because we've already seen that over 8 million people a month search for "credit card" online. When there's that type of volume in terms of both prospects and pure cash changing hands, you can bet there's money to be made - and thanks to the internet even "Joe Blog" can get involved in a big way by owning a simple site or blog with targeted content & the right affiliated programs.

More facts? There are over 1.2 billion credit cards in circulation in the U.S. and almost 80% of individuals are deemed credit-worthy.

The thing is, credit card companies know that with the average U.S. household racking up an eye-popping $7,000 in credit card debt, the more sign-ups they get for their credit cards...the
more money they make. It's a pure numbers game and each and every sign up means big money for them - not just as a one off but for years into the future.

You see, that's exactly why they'll throw around a lot of money to get these customers (and lots of it). That's why there's pay per click & pay per lead potential here that almost defies belief (and frankly it makes the internet marketing payouts seem like a sad joke). Let's review the potential briefly:

Pay Per Click Potential

Credit card companies are known to bid around the $4 to $8 per click mark on Adwords and even more on certain keywords. As a result, a simple content based credit card site/blog can make out like a bandit with Adsense & other contextual programs.

Pay Per Lead Potential

There are over one billion credit cards in circulation within the U.S. alone and credit card companies are thought to have scooped up a cool $50 billion in revenues from late fees and charges alone. It's a pure numbers game for these companies.they know the more sign-ups they get, the more profits they'll see. It's a little like internet marketers and their mailing lists. The difference is that these multi-million dollar credit card companies will pay BIG to generate leads. To you and I, even $1 to generate a lead seems excessive, but to a major credit card company even $50 can be cost effective because the lifetime value of that lead can be thousands of dollars.

The potential with pay per lead and Adsense is strong to say the least.

Several bids on contextual (Adsense) advertising are at the $5, $8 even $10 mark while the credit card niche is possibly the strongest I've ever seen for pay per lead income. One major
credit card company I've found pays a whopping $65 per application they receive from your referrals. The customer doesn't have to buy anything so you can expect a far better conversion ratio than if you were trying to sell an affiliate program - yet the reward is higher than you'll see as an affiliate from the majority of products out there. And we're just at the starting point. my belief is that pay per lead will be a successful model for credit card companies to sign-up new cardholders in a way that can be traced. Surely, others will follow suit. To me, that's really incredible and the PPL possibilities alone warrant a presence in this market.

So Now You Understand The Potential, How Can You Set-Up A Simple Content Website That Can Start Delivering Earnings Right Off The Bat?

Set up a content blog or website with information that's going to interest your prospects. Cover topics like:

- How credit cards work

- How to spot a good credit card deal

- Different features of the many credit cards on display

- Credit cards to suit different types of customer (eg student
cards, reward cards etc)

- Balance transfers

You get the jist. The best way to structure your site is to have each specific article on one page with 3 Adsense link units and of course the link to your pay per lead program so when your prospects do apply (and if they are targeted, many will) you'll get $65 per application.

If you want to profit from niche marketing, you need to be in the right markets. It's well worth your time setting up a presence in this niche - the rewards speak for themselves.

What Do You Have To Be To Succeed In A Home Based Business

By Pedro Sousa

So, 95% of the people that try to earn money online FAIL.
That's a fact and nobody can argue with that.

But, you can belong to the 5% who actually earn money from the confort of their own houses. How? I call it the three "Be's".

Before that, let's talk about something else. Is it possible to start bulding an income using just FREE advertsing resources? Basicly, is it possible to earn money online without spending a penny?! NO! I've talked about it with other marketers and we all reached the same conclusion: at some point, you have to spend some money. But the trick, is how to spend it. Face it like an
investment to future. Just spend it wisely. What leads to my main point. What do you have to be to really earn a "few bucks" using the internet in these so called "home based business"?

Be Active - That's right. If you have an idea, just explore it and do something about it. How many times did i heard: "Oh man, I want to do this, but I don't if it's going to work. Maybe I just should let it go". WRONG. Be active in every way that you can be. You will never know if it is a good idea, if you just don't try to make it work!

Be Patient - While you are advertising your main home based business you have to be patient. Advertising is a number's game. Just don't quite and keep trying. Give yourself a couple of months until you give up.

Be original - In every step of the way, you have to be unique and creative. Do something different from the competition, and BEING ACTIVE here can really pay off. Write down some ideas that you think can work, embrace them with enthusiasm and you will see results in no time.

That's about it. If you can be active, patient and original you can earn money online. Along your money journey, invest your money wisely (no guarateed sign-ups and so on). Before EVERY MOVE research about it in order to find some feedback and then ACT!

10 Biggest Mistakes In Affiliate Marketing And How To Avoid Them

By Aaron White

Though anyone can achieve success with affiliate programs, not everyone manages to do the same. The reason? Well, there are 10 of them, actually. These are the biggest mistakes that make success in affiliate marketing very elusive. Study them well, and read up on how to avoid them. Hurdling through these mistakes can spell the difference between monumental profits and dismal performance in your affiliate marketing campaigns.

1. Believing that people would just click on their affiliate links. Though an affiliate's job is merely limited to pre-selling, pre-selling involves more than just displaying the affiliate links. It also entails encouraging people to click on them by enumerating the benefits that can be derived from the affiliate merchant's products, giving favorable recommendations about the use of the same, and providing an encouraging offer that would entice readers to check out the package.

2. Believing that there's such a thing as organic traffic. Organic traffic, or traffic that is naturally generated by a website, is a myth. There is no such thing! If you're hosting your affiliate links in one website, you can't expect people to find it just like that. You have to make them find it. This can be done through effective SEO techniques and efficient marketing strategies.

3. Believing that employing one marketing strategy is enough. Some people actually think that submitting one article to the article directories would give them the amount of traffic they need. This is a fatal mistake. Limiting yourself to a single, or even a couple, of marketing tactics would be limiting the number of visitors you could generate for your website. Also, you'll fail to tap into other segments of your targeted market if your tactics aren't flexible enough to expand.

4. Failing to study your campaign's performance. Most affiliates merely check on how much they have earned per day, and if such an amount remains at low levels, they fail to make corresponding adjustments because, well, they don't know which aspects of their campaigns need improving. It is important to study every facet of our marketing strategies. How many visitors are we generating for our website? How many of them are unique? How many are returning? How much time do they spend in our pages? Where are they coming from? To where are they exiting? These are the questions that can be answered by an excellent visitor tracking software program, and these are the questions that could help us improve the performance of our marketing endeavors.

5. Failing to find an affiliate program which actually offers sellable products. Some affiliate programs may offer as much as a 95% commission per sale. But if the products are impossible to sell, you'd never realize the profit the program promises.

6. Failing to find an affiliate program with a proven record of consumer satisfaction. The credibility of an enterprise depends on how people view it. If the affiliate program has established great relationships with the members of its target market, then it has established a brand which is recognizable for its excellent service. You'd have an easier time pre-selling such an affiliate program's products.

7. Failing to keep abreast with the latest developments in the industry. There will come a time when the marketing knowledge we know would become obsolete, more so in the field of internet
marketing where everything transpires at a rapid pace. You have to constantly update yourself with the newest trends, techniques and news in this field to always keep your competitive edge.

8. Failing to invest on knowledge. Knowledge likewise evolves and you have to evolve with it. Buy noteworthy eBooks, special reports and the likes. those which would teach you the latest
tactics to help you conquer your field.

9. Resting on your laurels once a semblance of success is achieved. Success is not eternal. You have to sustain it. If you leave your business alone once it shows the promise of success, you're just setting it up for failure.

10. Believing that affiliate marketing is a "get rich quick" scheme. It is not. You have to invest a certain level of commitment, a lot of time, some financial resources on occasions, and a whole lot of effort if you want to truly realize the many wonderful things that this field does promise.

Finding Accurate Internet Marketing Business Reviews

By Andy West

The prospect of starting or looking into an internet marketing business can be quite tricky, especially without much knowledge or insight into the field. Using a variety of accurate internet
marketing business reviews can be a great way to shed a little bit of light on your research. But finding reviews can be as tricky as balancing a bicycle on the nose of a seal. It may seem like a circus trick, but there are tricks of the trade that can be used in order to decipher the nonsense and the spin from the truth.

One way to start looking for information about internet marketing businesses is to use a basic search engine. There are many out there that can make looking for marketing reviews easier for the consumer or the prospective business owner. Some are more reputable than others. Using search engines usually involves knowing, specifically, what to search for in order to get accurate and primary results.

A lot of the marketing opportunities available for people fail because they are unreliable and unrealistic. This is coupled with the fact that finding reputable press about the business or opportunity can be complicated, probably due to the fact that the business may not be too reputable to begin with. Using search engines and website lookup information portals can be a good first step to take in terms of looking into the reputation of a particular Internet business or marketing opportunity.

There are many opportunities out there for less than honest business people to attempt to take hard-earned money out of the pockets of web surfers. These businesses and these marketing opportunities simply rely on the ignorance of the consumer, so the alternative is to become an educated consumer and learn more about the business than the scammers believe you do. Doing this is simply a matter of having the right sources, reading the right internet marketing business reviews, and learning how to spot a scam.

Internet marketing business reviews can come from multiple sources, but a general rule of thumb is to keep an eye out for a general consensus amongst the reviewers. If a business is realistic in its business plan and worth a look, the reviewers will likely agree even if they have a difference of opinion on some of the company's philosophy. Finding this particular type of consensus can be challenging, because of the apparent bulk of negative press available. It is a fact that consumers are more likely to give a bad comment when they are dissatisfied, yet will give no comment at all when they are completely satisfied.

There are many issues that may come into play in terms of Internet marketing business reviews. Some reviews may use testimonials to attempt to create a more realistic tone. These
testimonials are not necessarily genuine and should be checked into further.

Avoid glossing over statistics, especially if the statistics in one particular internet marketing business review can be compared with those from another. If those numbers or those stats do not line up, you should start asking some serious questions about the worthiness of the company.

Reading Internet marketing business reviews can be complicated and tricky, especially because of the constant use of flowery language and avoidance tactics. Many reviews will talk about an internet marketing opportunity without actually mentioning anything about the opportunity itself. When reading internet marketing business reviews, it is important to maintain a clear focus so as to understand the actuality of what the review says and not just the spin.

Starting A Business Online: The 6 Essentials Every Internet Business Owner Must Possess

By Deanna Mascle

Starting a business online is easy. Just buy a package or sign up for a prepacked system and you can be an internet billionaire next month with nothing to do but run to the bank and cash your checks.

I do not know why people who are normally full of common-sense and who are wary of hyped-up sales pitches fall for these online hucksters. The old adage states: "If it looks too good to be true it probably is" holds even more true for internet get-rich-quick schemes than anything else.

The truth is that there is a lot of money to be made on the internet and that will continue to hold true for many years to come. The opportunity to become an internet millionaire or billionaire has not passed you by. BUT no one got rich overnight on the internet and no one got rich without doing some work.

There are many different methods and formulas for making money on the internet and there are even more ways to lose money on the internet, but before you spend a lot of your money take time to study and learn so you can better judge those opportunities that come your way.

All you need to really start your own business online are these six qualities:

Time is the most important ingredient for your success. If you are looking to get rich quick or for overnight success then starting a business from scratch is not the way to go. Once you know what you are doing then you can often leverage your existing customer base or traffic into a quick income whenever you choose but it takes time to build something of worth. It will take months before your new web site or blog is even listed in most search engines and likely it will take you longer to build up a list of interested potential customers. Money and knowledge can cut down the wait time but remember it will take time to build up your knowledge.

Money is the second most important ingredient for your internet business success. While you do not need a big budget and I offer a free tutorial about how to start an internet business on a shoestring (see end of article), you will need some money to get started effectively.

Patience is another key ingredient for business success. As I mentioned before, it takes time to learn what you need to know (and after seven years in this business there is still a lot I have to learn) and then it takes time to put those strategies into effect. Even more than that, it takes time for your new strategies to begin to work for you. While most of us come to expect immediate results on the internet it does take time for search engines and visitors alike to notice when you make a change to a web site or blog. Many internet entrepreneurs lose patience just when they are on the cusp of success. Most people who fail at an internet business simply did not possess enough time and patience. Most people who succeed at online business did so by sticking it out.

Passion is an often overlooked element of success. One of the ways people work through the early learning and tough times is that they are passionate about their business. This is why so
many gurus suggest you start with a niche that already interests you. Not only do you not have as much to learn about that area but you will be able to be real when you begin promoting your business. You do not have to fake your enthusiasm and passion will carry you far.

Creativity is another must-have for the budding entrepreneur. Think outside the box and beyond what is immediately available in your niche. Creativity can help you start, build, grow and promote your business in terms of products and publicity and partners.

Finally, you quite simply need brainpower. You do not need to be the sharpest crayon in the box but you do need to be open to new ideas and willing (in fact eager) to learn. Never assume you
know everything or that you cannot learn. Once you fall into either of those traps you are doomed.

If you possess these six key qualities: time, money (just a little), patience, passion, creativity, and brainpower then you can make a success of an internet business.

Make Or Break Your Home Business (and Residual Income Streams That Work)

By Tuks Engineer

As our divine world drives furiously into this new Information Age a new type of millionaire is fast emerging from the incredible changes that have been driven by the internet the Work From Home Millionaire. This article probes into the questions that you have about the benefits of starting a home business, avoiding the scams that seem to attract any prosperous industry and (the bit that you'll want to gobble up) the drop dead simple ways that you can implement today for instant home wealth.

Ready? Let's delve now into the benefits of starting a home-based business. Do you know that this new breed of Work From Home Millionaire has it much better than most wealthy people? A home-business affords it's owners a lifestyle that even traditional millionaires would envy (no need to commute or play dirty office politics as you watch the cash splosh into your Paypal account).

Not started yet? Don't fret - every thriving home business started off as a mere conception. An idea in someones head. Working from home is a dream for many - but actually going ahead and starting a home business can be very difficult. So what makes so many people want to do it, and why would you ever try such a crazy thing? Here are some common reasons, and some things to consider:

Doing What You Love (Yes, You CAN Turn Your Hobby Into Your Job)

Most people have something that they're really passionate about, and would spend the rest of their life doing if they could, just for the enjoyment of it. Whether that means football, travel or hand-made sock puppets for you it's wonderful to get paid for doing what you love! Make sure,
though, that you?d be able to take it if you had to make a living from your passion. It's the things we're closest to that hurt us the most - think of how you might feel if no-one buys what you've made, or if they send it back and with a note saying "what rubbish, I demand a refund!"

Can you cope with your hobby becoming commercial? As you?ll learn with time and experience there is always a small percentage of customers who are downright nasty and will take a swipe at your feelings (I know of webmasters who have even received correspondence touching upon hate-mail before). You always have to take the rough with the smooth.

Your Boss Is A Dirty, Backstabbing Little Pig

It seems like everyone hates their boss. In an increasingly commercial and profit conscious world the "boss" is the guy who will deliver corporate riches at any expense. You may be a model employee, work more hours than there are in the day yet when it's time for your loyalty to be repaid you're left with a barely inflation matching pay-rise and hardly any gratitude for your slog. Is this really the way you imagined spending your life?

Wouldn't it be far nicer to do your own thing from your own space?

What you might not realise is that "being your own boss" requires quite a lot of willpower. If there was no-one to make you get up in the morning and do any work, would you be able to motivate yourself? Your home is supposed to be a place of rest and entertainment - and when it's full of the equipment and temptation to do anything but work, working there can be hard
(shall I do some work or watch that Simpsons DVD?).

You're Over 30, Have A Wonderful Family, But Barely See Them For A Half Hour In The Day

You feel like all you do is go to work, come home, and then sit around, too tired to do anything fun with your family. Well without doubt I can tell you that with a successful home business you'll have far more time and energy to enjoy with your partner, your children, your relatives and friends. And when you're boss, you can set your own holidays. How cool would it be to turn up to your home office, find things smoother than smooth and call Bob up for a round of golf (of course if you don't know Bob you can ask one of your own friends : ) The flipside here is that you might just end up spending too much time with your family, while you're trying to work. When everyone knows you'll be in the house all day, they'll probably ask you to do all sorts of unimportant things, just because you're available. It's hard to say no, and before you know it, you're doing the job of a full-time "housewife" instead of what you set out to do. Discipline is required, and if you feel you struggle with this then perhaps a home business isn't for you after all.

The Commute, The Stress, The Overpriced Sandwiches - It's All Too Much

There is a very wise old saying that goes something like this: "No-one on their death-bed has ever reflected on their life and said - I wish I spent more time in the office!"

Offices are dreary environments, and terrible to work in. Travelling for hours there and back and spending a significant proportion of your wages to do it seems completely pointless (especially if you live in the middle of nowhere). If you could work from home, think of the time you?d save? and time is money, isn't it? To make things worse, if you happen to work in some of
the larger cities in the world such as London, the amount you spend on basics like food and drink can be shockingly high.

Isn't it time you started earning more and spending less (both money and energy)? Once set-up, a home business affords you the enjoyment of working based around your time, schedule and requirements (with the only commute from the bedroom to the home office via kitchen).

You Want To Work Smarter And Benefit From Residual Income Streams

When you have a job, usually the pattern is that you work to accomplish a task and you get paid once. When you have a smart home business (such as creating and selling information products) you do the work once and then for years into the future you will receive payment for the very same work. That's residual income and it's one of the most powerful concepts you'll ever take on board (congratulations - this one tip alone is worth hundreds of dollars).

A home business can not only be highly enticing because of the advantages it offers by way of work-life-balance, but when you get it right it will pay many multiples of any job. That's the trick to setting up a really successful home based business.

Home Income Streams That WORK

Pay close attention to this short paragraph. You're about to discover multiple ways of creating powerful home income streams that are seductively residual. Here are some income streams that have worked very well for me - I'll leave it to you to research into and profit from them.

As mentioned above, resale rights and information products are superb residual income generators. These days you can purchase premium products with rights for the price of an ice-cream and profit from it for years into the future.

Google Adsense has been established as a viable and highly profitable business model for the home business publisher. It's an awesome way of setting up income streams that do not require you to sell a thing (and continue to make money from them long after forgetting about them).

Knowing the basics behind importing & exporting is another explosively profitable home business model. Once you find a profit source here, again, it will continue to deliver cash for
you for years into the future.

A Call For Action

Now that you're aware of the pros and cons of starting your very own home based business (and some highly powerful tips to nudge you towards early profits) you need to take action. The next five minutes are vital - if you walk away and take no action you may never start on the most important and worthwhile journeys of your life. It's totally up to you. Who knows, perhaps you'll end up being the next new Work From Home Millionaire.

Blog Archives And Seo

By Chris Angus

When most people visit your site, the most articles that they will see is anywhere from three to fifteen depending on the length of them and whether or not you have linked them "behind the fold." Behind the Fold means that they are stuffed in your archives. Of course, this begs the question, Are these search engine optimized blogs lost forever in the archives or are they still accessible to search engines?

The good news that even though your blog posts from the past are not displayed on the blog page but this does not mean that they are not accessible to the search engines or your readers.
Most blog software and online providers supply some kind of archiving system so that readers can easily search your blog for other articles. In fact a little box that allows your readers to search a blog is a good plug in to look for when you are choosing a provider.

Sometimes the archives are listed in a separate list on another page by date or subject. On other templates, there may be a list of general categories scrolling down one side of your blog that people can click on to read other subjects. Another possibility is that a calendar object may be put on the page so that people can look up the blogs in the archive by date. Another technique
is to keep all of your category headings for your blogs as keyworded titles and to maintain a lot of them. The more categories you have describing your blog archives the more keywords you will have available to the search engines.

Even though these posts are not archived on your front page they are still searchable through the search engines. The more articles you have in your archives the more visible your site is likely to be in the search engines.

Savvy Marketing - Business Internet Advertising

By Roxanne Greenidge

Savvy marketing - business internet advertising depends on it and it is the key to a successful internet business. Taking into account how many competitors are fighting for your client's credit card number, it is anticipated that marketing, business internet advertising, and online promoting have become buzz words that every entrepreneur who took a home based business to the Net has become familiar with. Ibrahim's goods and services are simply not enough to draw customers and clients, but spreading the word of where these can be had is just important.

In the earlier days of marketing, business internet advertising took the form of banner ads. Many of these banner ads sought to draw clients by being brighter and more colorful than the competition. This soon translated into neon orange banner ads that would make your eyes ache. Shortly, this color war was not enough, and animation was added to the banners. Hence, banner ad marketing - business internet advertising, at its natiest in some cases, got a dreadful reputation and numerous webmasters took down a lot of the more unbearable ads. Undoubtedly, this left merchants clamoring for other ways of advertising their commodities and services.

Individuals who were ad savvy toned down their banner ads to be elegantly constructed and pleasing to the eye. Rather than going for amaze value they enrolled the help of affiliates to publicize the word about their products. Furthermore, these internet entrepreneurs looked to other media to spread the word of their merchandise, and quickly these leaps of faith paid off. Print ads are now regularly taken out for online businesses, and in countless cases a website takes the place of a telephone number. Savvy marketing - business internet advertising at its best, has once again reclaimed the world wide market place and made it a sociable place for consumers and a competitive environment for merchants.

Tips And Ideas For Making Money Online

By Jim Biscardi

For many people looking to improve their financial situation, running a home business has given them a freedom they never thought would be possible. There is nothing more satisfying then the pride of ownership that comes from being a business owner - not to mention spending more time with family and spending your day doing the things you want, instead of the things you need to do! Unlike most "brick and mortar" pr traditional businesses, it is possible to start an internet business to make money online without having to work long hours or seven days a week. As a home business owner, you make your own hours and schedule. There are no sick days, no having to make an uncomfortable call to the boss, etc. If you need to be home for most of the day, then starting a home business will give you the income you will need and the freedom to work when you want.

Making money online can be done in a variety of ways. The Internet has revolutionized the whole concept of making money. You can sell goods and services through your own web site, you can join an affiliate marketing program - where you become like a "distributor" for the parent company, you can offer your writing, editing, web design, and other creative services to those who need it, or you can find a data entry or customer service program. You can even sell other people's products in what are called "master rights" or "private label rights" programs. No writing skills; business or product-development experience; or business degree are required! One thing that should determine which business opportunity you decide to pursue is the amount of automation provided to you. Remember, this is the Internet! You should be able to leverage your time in the most constructive manner. I hate calling and selling - I think that is an awful way to spend your time. Most of your prospecting time should be on generating traffic through Internet marketing - not cold calling!

Finding out more about what is available will require you to search the internet, ask others who work from home, and begin visiting job boards to see what is available. Also, if you choose the affiliate route, be sure to sign up under a good sponsor - one who is part of a good team with tools, resources and mentoring! You shouldn't have to learn lessons the hard way on your own. Learn from the successes and/or failures of your sponsor and the team. Once you have decided which business to go into, you will have to spend time building a web site and marketing your services. Most good affiliate programs provide you with turnkey websites and other material, but you will eventually want to make your own, more personal site. This will help you build a customer base. After a few months, you will have an internet business that makes good money online.

Once you have started your business, you may want to find other ventures that will make money. This is what is referred to as "multiple streams of income." There are many programs available that will give you commissions for sales that are made through your marketing efforts. You can find numerous opportunities for this type of program. You may also be able to use one business to promote another. I suggest getting some good experience with one business venture before deciding to grow into multiple income streams. This way, the skills you have developed and the lessons you have learned in your first business can help you get off to a good start with your next one.

As you learn more about the internet, you will be able to make connections, see money making opportunities, and you will be able to learn more about what is available. This is a great way to reinvest the money you have earned while maintaining your bottom line. Internet businesses that make money online are those that are continually advertised in different markets - so be sure to diversify your marketing campaigns. By expanding your business or starting another, you will increase your profits and take advantage of everything the internet has to offer. Most importantly, you will be able to attain the pride of business ownership and the lifestyle of your dreams!

Building an Internet business at home and working at home, you will need the full cooperation of the entire family. How Google Makes Big Money And How You Can Too!

By Andrei Petunin

We all know that Google makes a lot of money, but not everyone knows how they do it, so I have created a web site about Google Adsense and have produced this article with the purpose to help people to understand their system more.

Google is a search engine, and that comes from common knowledge now a days. An extremely successfully search engine, which received so much daily traffic that one often wonders how many servers it maintains, to handle it all! They have thousands of employees around the world and probably make billions in revenues. How do they do it? Well, the answer is, of course, from advertising. They advertise, and advertise heavily. The two systems they have created are Adwords and Adsense. I won't go into too much detail, since anyone can find out more on this
on their website, but in a couple of sentences.. essentially, Adwords is a system that advertisers use place their ads via it, while Adsense is the outcome of those ad placements i.e. those are actual ads themselves.

Google places the ads in 2 places - on search engines, both it's own or those which they own and are affiliated, and on mine and your sites. They have a huge network (the whole web) of websites and split their profits from those ads with the web owners therefore creating a win-win situation and encouraging more and more web owners to place their advertisements. It is the biggest ad community on earth to date (not betting my wife on this, but pretty sure), and, judging by their rapid growth, it will be even larger weeks or months from today. The pay per click rate varies somewhere from .01 pence to a lot more of around 70 US Dollars. This depends on the quality of the web content you have at your site and how much advertisers are willing to pay for their visitors, probably in conjunction with some other less important factors. Google does not inform us how much they pay the web masters, although there have being predictions from the web masters that the figure is most likely to be somewhere around 50%.

The aim behind it is to make a site with as many visitors as we can and have as high rate of clicks as possible. Of course this, opportunity attracts many of people though who try their luck
with Adsense, and the good news is that the vast majority of those fortune-hunters fail, for many different reasons, one of which being mainly because those types of do not plug in for long enough, make spammy and worthless throw-away type of sites and it all just is too much work for them. Good news for those who do make it, as it means those have fewer people to compete
against.

So, what needs to be done by an individual in order to make money with Adsense? Well, a start up capital to outsource, some SEO knowledge as well as some determination will be welcome, but crucial factors are determination and good quality Google is not stupid and in the future only unique, quality content, which is of true value to the visitor will attract the search engines. This means that you can start creating a site and add original content two times a day or more, and that will, sooner or later, pay off and you will start ranking in the SE's. Choose a niched topic, create more long tail keyword-aimed headlines, write the article, and you will be heading towards a very bright future, and , at that point, will probably be better off than about 98% of them that try.

Designing a niched website is easier to rank for, because you can optimise your linking strategy for this subject, therefore is going to get higher PR reputation with less effort. Search engines are going to start recognising you as an expert in this field, hence you will gain more traffic. This is in contradiction to if you make a wide area website, where you will need to try harder to get the same level of PR, , since you have more subjects and likely more web pages, as well as having to create more web links, as well as more permutations of these web links to more pages all this is just not as easy. To contradict to that though, once you are ranking, you will likely receive more visitors. It all really depends on how hard you are going to work on it, and the chances are not too hard (you do not want to reach success and then drop dead). Or depends on your ability to outsource (get them people from around the planet working on your site, and ghost-writers working on your content for you).

One of the other to consider is letting your web site readers to ad content themselves for you! Be it with the possibility to be approved by either you or your web master or to make a free post without web masters check this strategy, if applied right, is the best in terms of the work load off your chest. This is going to take a lot of work from you, as your visitors will be doing it, while you are on a nice, sunny beach in Caribbean island might just work! In my personal view, that would be a true success. (E.g. for many that have already taken off no web masters involvement required, apart from little off-page optimisation work and monitoring to keep the spot in the SE's, and that can be outsourced. Content-adding is very natural for them). Of course, enabling comments is doing just that, but those are, likely, only couple of lines, and definitely not as affective as having full paragraphs.

Do you know that , according to recent statistics (end of 2006), something like seventy percent of the worlds wealth is in the hands of two percent of the worlds population? Well, the net is one of the Greatest chances in our history to be in this two percent. Oh, by the way, almost forgot the reason why I wrote this article. Below is a link to my site on the subject of how to make money with Google Adsense. I am adding articles to it regularly, writing about everything I know and learn about Google Adsense and how to make a lot of money from it, in the shortest possible time. Please you are v. welcome to visit it at http://www.AdsenseABC.com

I wholeheartedly wish you, my dear reader, all the best, and thanks for reading.

Three Divine Secrets To Perfect Backlinks

By Mikael Rieck

As you have surely already read many times - getting links to your site is the solely most critical factor to determine your success for ranking well in the search engines. The big G (Google) has changed the way the rank sites from factors on the specific site to external factors giving you site credibility by wanting to link to it.

Ranking high in Google should be your number one priority if you are planning on getting your targeted traffic from the search engines. But as much as you want to rank well in Google so does everyone else and that makes it so much harder to accomplish. But if can possibly achieve it the rewards will follow.

Tips #1: Track your traffic and results. Before you start your linking campaign you should consider how you are going to track your effort. Working hard on building different types of links and not having a clue what works and what doesn't is just plain stupid. When you know what works and what doesn't it is much easier to focus your time and there by achieve a better result faster.

You will need to find a way to a) see what sites that sends your traffic and what sites that send you buyers (traffic that converts into sales or opt-ins). This information is SO VALUABLE that it must not be ignored.

If you go to Google and search for "free traffic analyzer" you will surely find a couple of site that can provide you with simple tools that will get the job done. On the other hand you might want to consider finding a more professional tool for the job so that you (over time) are able to track some of the more specific things that you will need in order to not only make sure you rank well but that your page will also convert the people actually visiting it.

A tool that I have had good experience using is the tool that Google provides named Google Analytics. It is free and has a lot of features. You are also able to combine it with your Adwords account if you are using PPC to drive traffic to your site.

Tips #2: Be consistent over a period of time. Things don't happen over night. Most search engines will take months before giving your site the full credit for the links you have attained. Surely you can see some benefit for links in days or weeks but often it is temporary and your should expect your rankings to jump up an down in the SEs for a few months to come (and this is if we don't factor in the changes that your competition will surely make on their sites in the same period of time).

So be sure to place links on sites where you can expect them to stay for months (and preferably years).

But that is not all. Even though you have build up a great number of quality links you will need to do a minimum effort in building more and more links to your site over time. This can be done in many ways that won't take up much of your time but make sure that you don't ever stop the effort completely. The strength you have build will erode over time so make sure that you keep adding "votes" to your site.

Tips #3: Be aware of outbound links. Most sites and pages have links pointing to other sites or other internal pages. The fewer links the page which you will have your link placed on the better. The effect the page has on your link (and therefore page) will decrease with the number of outbound links places on the site. You can say that the links share the pagerank of the page.

The best possible link you can get will be from a relevant page with a high PR and great rankings in the search engines and where the link to your site is the only one present. This is not something that you will often experience!!

A way to achieve a situation close to this is when you write great articles and have them posted on high quality websites. Here you will often see some internal links but for the most part the link to your site (in the reference section of the article you wrote) will be the only outbound link.

Writing great content articles and having them exposed on the right sites can do wonders for your ranking. So if you're not Shakespeare you might want to consider finding a ghost writer to do the job for you. Sure you can end up paying $30-$50 for a good article (800-1000 words) but if it will end up sending you more customers because of the improved ranking it might be a
great investment.

If You Build It, They Will Come...

By Adrian Kennelly

...No they won't. On the web, building a web site is not enough. If there are no links to the site anywhere, no-one is going to visit it. The site won't even be listed in any of the search engines without some incoming links. To get traffic, you will need to do some promotion.

Web Directories

The basic part of any promotion campaign, web directories, whist they may not generate much in the way of traffic, will help in your site's search engine ranking. A good list of free, non-reciprocal, search engine friendly directories can be found at Vilesilencer's SEO Friendly List.

Pay Per Click Advertising

This is advertising such as PPC Search Engines, like Yahoo!'s Overture, and contextual advertising, like Google's AdWords. Be warned, it is very easy to go through a substantial amount of money for no reward using these services if you are not careful. AdWords (amongst others) lets you pick a maximum budget a day, but, although $5 may not sound like much, $5/day is $150+ per month. Better make sure your keywords are correctly identified, and, in preference, not highly competed on, and that your sales copy is good enough before doing this.

Quality Traffic, not Just Traffic

It's what everyone is after, more traffic to their website. Traffic is easy to obtain, though. Autosurfers, manual hit exchanges and purchased traffic will all send visitors to your website. However, this traffic is just visitors, many of whom will just burn up your bandwidth for no reward. Unless you are receiving decent money for pay per impression advertising, such as banners and popups, this traffic can be totally valueless.

Repeat Traffic

Unless you only require visitors to visit your site once, because you are selling a one-off product, and your sales copy is fantastic enough that they are hooked to buy on the first visit (and if you are regulary doing this, write an ebook explaining how and sell it), you will want visitors to return. If there is nothing of value at your site, visitors may come once, but they won't come back of their own accord. Typically, it is estimated that a prospective customer will be exposed seven times to a product etc. before buying.

Reciprocal Linking

Whilst somewhat frowned upon, and generally thought to not be as valuable as one-way linking (see below) for search engine optimization, a relevant reciprocal linking campaign can be an important traffic generating tool. swap links with sites in a related, but non-competing, business to your own. It isn't really a good idea to link to competitors; although visitors will be interested in your product, there is a good chance you will lose them to your competitor, especially if their website or product is better or looks better than your own. Not a desirable outcome. For example, a web hosting site could link to a site that sells scripts and programs; visitors to one will more than likely use the other, but the sites are not in direct competition. You can also swap links with web directories that require a reciprocal link.

One-Way Linking

Considered the best form of link for SEO purposes, this can also be a good source of traffic. There are a number of ways of getting one-way links. The easiest is submission to free web directories (see above). Another good source is by writing articles relevant to your site or industry, putting a resource box at the bottom, then posting the article on the directories such as GoArticles, or by sumbitting to the ezines. Webmasters and ezine publishers are always in need of fresh content, and will publish your article for free. The hardest way of getting one-way inbound links is by having websites voluntarily link to you. The only way to do this is by providing a valuable tool, service or resource that other webmasters will want to direct their visitors to.

Local SEO Tips - Don't Ignore The Gems In Your Own Backyard

By Alice Seba

If you sell a service or product online you may not want to ignore the potential customers right in your own backyard. There are a number of potential local businesses who may be
interested in what you have to offer, and as more and more people are using the internet for local searches you'll want to make sure your website is optimized to attract these local clients.

One way to attract more search engine visitors locally is to use local keywords when optimizing your site. For example, if you offer web design services in Arizona, research keywords and include keywords with your location when optimizing your pages.

You should also submit your site for free local search engine listings. There are several local ones to choose from but Google and Yahoo are the two big ones. When you submit you can add details about your business including your address, office hours and so on. You can also grab a link to a map of your location which you can place on your website.

When targeting local clients, placing your local address, phone number and a link to a Google map of your business at the very bottom of the page footer may help in your local search engine
results.

Local city business directories can also be a good source of leads and traffic, but make sure you research the directory to see if it will actually produce results for you. There are many business directories popping up and you'll want to choose one with a good reputation and which can produce results.

But don't stop there; remember to include your website address on your business cards and local mailings so that local customers can view your website at their convenience. With many local business owners yet to get into the online marketing game, by starting early you'll stand out from your local competitors.

Work From Home With Automated System That Does It All

By Marsha Brown

Internet travellers are noticing a huge upsurge of automated marketing sites called "plug-in profit sites," or PIPs for short. Basically, the sites act as middlemen between buyers and sellers… clearing houses, if you will. If you have the ability to work just a little faithfully, every day, you may be the type of person who can readily take advantage of a plug-in profit site. The advantages are many if you are willing to spend the time needed.

Not all PIPs are created equal. Some are simple "affiliate marketing" plans that rely on your ability to outwit the Internet market and drive lots of traffic to your site. Once the traffic (or customer) arrives at your site, if he clicks on a link to a merchant you're affiliated with, you earn money. If the customer buys from that merchant, you can receive up to 70% of the sales price.

Why would a merchant go for such a deal? Think about it a second. With advertising prices sky-high, and with zero risk… why wouldn't they? All they have to cover is their cost and overhead, and after all, they would never have seen that customer if he hadn't clicked on a link in your website.

This sounds complicated, you're thinking. Well the truth is, it is. But only if you have to start from scratch.

It doesn't make sense, really, to do much of anything from scratch anymore, not unless you're a total control freak or simply a traditional purist. The folks who create these sites sell them because they work and because the people who buy them – people just like you, who want or need to work at home – are willing to pay a small price to get started and avoid the hassles and pitfalls of working from scratch to build an online business.

Choosing A Work At Home Career

By Bryan Perry

Is doing at home work on the internet the right career path for you?

Quitting your present job, putting all your eggs in the so-called web basket of a work from home job... these can be pretty scary moves. Of course, you don't have to quit your job to start doing at home work; it can be done part time, but then you have to be willing to give up some family/personal time (at least temporarily) to launch your business.

Either way, there is risk and sacrifice involved in at home work. And, how can you be sure at home work is going to be worth it, or that you have what it takes to be an at home work entrepreneur? After all, launching yourself in at home work is NOT the right path for everyone. It takes the right combination of desire, organization, motivation, time, skill and creativity to be successful in work at home jobs.

Just about anyone can be successful in starting a home business, but it is smart to take the time to do a little self-evaluation before you jump off that cliff.

ASSESS YOUR APTITUDE FOR AT HOME WORK

As discussed earlier, it is important to know if you have what it takes to make it in at home work. Your internet home business will require a certain amount of dedication and effort. Those "get rich quick" schemes you've heard so much about just aren't real. It takes hard work and motivation to reach success in work at home jobs. Don't let anyone tell you different.

Evaluating yourself to see if you have the right qualities to succeed in a home business is the first step in helping you decide if you're going in the right direction when starting an at home work plan.

FIGURING OUT WHICH TYPE OF BUSINESS TO START

There are hundreds, perhaps thousands, of options when it comes to at home work. Which work from home job is right for you? The best place to start is to ask some questions:

1. What type of at home work business would best match my knowledge/skill set?

2. Do I want to sell a product or a service ... or some combination of both? (Look at your current occupation. Is there some common problem or gripe associated with it ... could you start some sort of home business to solve that problem? Or ... do you have a hobby or personal interest that could be turned into some sort of at home work?)

3. Do I want to sell someone else's product, or develop my own? (If there is some product or service that you believe in, perhaps you should explore selling it. There are many people today making a living in work at home jobs just by selling other people's products. Spend a few weeks researching affiliate products, learning how to market them, and get up and running with an automatic system that works in the background. Then, let those affiliate programs earn slowly—or maybe fast!—growing income while you focus on the internet home business that's your first choice, whatever that might be.)

Serious discussion of affiliate marketing is beyond the scope of this article. However, you can find some great resources to help you learn more about affiliate programs and how to get started in them at

Finding products you like—either offline or online—can also give you ideas for your own product or service. It is not necessary that your business idea be completely original. You can be successful by developing your own "unique selling point" that sets your product apart from all the others out there.

4. What kind of financial resources can I put into my at home work? (Can you afford to pay several thousand dollars to purchase a cookie-cutter or franchise type business? Probably
not, but don't despair. Most internet home businesses can be started on a shoestring, or maybe a little more. But just keep in mind that what you can afford to invest will influence the type of business you choose to go into.)

One of the best at home work product ideasI know of for an entrepreneur who wants to start a work from home job is ... Infoproducts!

Everyone is an expert at something ... even you. Just think about it. What do you know a lot about? Is it the industry you've worked in for the past 15 years ... or that special hobby ... or that life-changing experience?

Whatever your specialty is, you have valuable knowledge. Share your knowledge through an e-book. It isn't necessary for how-to books to be great literary works. What's most important is that they offer easy-to-follow information.

These are just a few of the things you need to consider when planning to start a work at home business.

3 Ways You Can Generate Cash Using Google Adsense

By George Chao

In many webmaster forums, you are likely to come across this question: "How can I make money with Google Adsense?" Google Adsense is arguably the most popular pay-per-click advertising program today. Many webmasters are earning considerable money by displaying Google Adsense on their sites.

Yes, it is very possible to make money with Google Adsense. There are several effective and proven ways you can do this. The best part is that they are not complicated ways; they are
in fact very simple and easy to implement. Of course, exactly how much you make from Google Adsense largely depends on how much effort you put into your sites. Don't fall into believing
that you can make money from Google Adsense overnight. Like other types of work, you need to spend time as well as have the commitment and perseverance.

With all that said, you will learn three effective ways you can generate cash with Google Adsense -- through niche sites, forums and blogs.

Niche Sites: Targeted Market Equals Targeted and Higher Adsense Clicks

The word "niche" is today's buzz word. A niche is a specific market you want to focus on. If you are in the antique business, exactly what kind of antique do you deal with? Are you in the antique furniture business? antique dolls? antique cars? That's your niche.

Niche websites are sites that are focused on very specific markets or audience. Instead of a broad category, you narrow down into a target market or audience. For instance, a guitar website can be further made specific and focus on Fender Stratocaster guitars. People who are into Fender Stratocaster guitars are your target audience. Google Adsense ads that appear on this particular niche website appeal to your target audience and visitors. By being specific, you can generate higher clicks to your Google Adsense, which translate to higher Google Adsense earnings.

If you want to maximize your Google Adsense earnings, put up several niche websites instead of one website devoted to a broad category or topic. Instead of putting up a website about cars, put up several small websites focused on car repairs, care restoration, antique cars and such. By narrowing down your website's focus, you can attract targeted visitors who are likely to click on your Google Adsense ads.

Forums: Placing Google Adsense Ads that Stand Out

Do you run a highly active forum or online discussion board? If your forum receives a lot of traffic and has many members who regularly participate in online discussions, you can monetize
your forum pages by inserting Google Adsense in them. While forum users are known to be "ad blind", you can insert Google Adsense codes smartly.

For instance, you can make your Google Adsense ads stand out by using very bright colors. On niche sites, it is recommended that your Google Adsense ads blend in with the site. In online
forums, however, you can make money with Google Adsense by making the ads stand out. You can also make Google Adsense appear after a certain number of posts. Many forum owners have
discovered that Google Adsense ads placed at the bottom of the last post on every page generates a lot of clicks.

Blogs: Easy to Monetize with Google Adsense

Today, many are able to establish an online presence and have their voices heard. They do this by creating and maintaining their own blogs. In the last two years alone, literally hundreds of thousands of blogs have cropped up. Blog software like Wordpress and blog networks like Blogger make it easy for anyone, even the least techie, to set up his or her own blog and make money from it. There are bloggers who are reportedly making four-, five- and six-figure yearly income just by placing Google Adsense on their blogs.

Since Blogger is owned by Google, people with blogs on Blogger can easily integrate Google Adsense into their account. Even if you don't have an account with Blogger, you can still make money displaying Google Adsense ads on Wordpress-powered blogs hosted on your server or third-party host. Blog software like Wordpress have Google Adsense plugins. This means you can easily insert Google Adsense ad codes in your blog posts with just a click of a button.

To make the most out of your Google Adsense ads, it is recommended that you place a Google Adsense unit after each of your blog posts. If you are posting a long article, consider placing a Google Adsense unite in the middle of the article. And if you technically inclined (or you aren't afraid of a challenge), you can insert Google Adsense codes into your blog template. Do it this way and your Google Adsense ads will display on all your blog pages.

There you have it -- three ways you can generate cash from Google Adsense. Niche sites, forums and blogs are only three of the many ways you can make money from Google Adsense. If you are new online, start with a blog. Create an account on Blogger.com and test out the waters. As you become comfortable and acquire more technical skills, you can advance to creating niche sites and starting your own online forums and monetizing with Google Adsense.

Manual Directory Submission- A Perfect Fit For Your Website

By Andrew Stone

Do you know the Webmaster community always prefers manual directory submission than auto submitting? More over it is highly advantageous. Directories expect all details of your site for effective inclusion.

For getting good rankings in the search engines and to receive a bunch of one-way links most of the Webmasters submit their site to web directories. Some of the directories considered the
automated submission as a SPAM. Hence it is highly advisable to opt the manual directory submission.

You may come across-

"Wanna submit your site to 90,000 search engines and directories IN SECONDS? Just you can submit through our completely automated search engine submission"

The submission rates of these types are so cheap and so is the result of these submissions. Moreover there is chance of your site being blacklisted by some of the popular directories like DMOZ. Keep these points in your mind before you utilize automated software for submission.

Recently most of the directories use CAPTCHA (IMAGE confirmation)- to prevent the automated directory submission. This is nothing but an image with numbers and letters that have to be manually entered. Hence automated submitters feel difficult to handle this situation.

Don't think that your site will be listed once you submit the same to directories. Editors of the directories have their own policy to include or reject sites. Some of the reasons for rejecting sites are as follows:

· Ad sense scrapper sites
· Sites that redirect to another site
· Broken links in the sites
· Excessive ads and pop ups
· Every page of the site opens in a new window
· Takes forever to load
· Having invalid description

In spite of clearing these lacunas in your site, your site will not be included in the directory if you submitted through back door- automated submission.

The manual directory submission has more advantages over the automated search engine submission. As the directory contains categories and subcategories, you can submit your site in a relevant category, which is impossible in the case of automated submission.

Automated submission just posts a set of predefined data that may lead to incomplete submission and finally rejection of your site. Through manual directory submission, you will be able to submit the various directories according to the different input systems.

While submitting your site through manually, if the website submission is not through or directory is down, you can submit your site later than never through software submission.

An added advantage of manual submission is that an e-mail confirmation and CAPCHA code (image) verification is made immediately which is never with automatic submission.

Some of the popular directories do require registering as member before opting for submission. These directories won't accept the cheap automated software submission.

Knowing these points will help you more chances of including your site in almost all the directories. Happy Submission!!!

Google Goes For Quality

By Kevin Dahl

Google continues its march toward being the ultimate search engine in terms of relevancy and quality, and if you aren't paying attention and keeping up with their changes, you're going to be left in the dust, with ineffective campaigns and hefty minimum bid prices.

This is just another move in the latest flurry of changes Google is making to weed out the "scrapers" and arbitragers. You'll find the following in the Google Quality Score Section:

* Link to the page on your site that provides the most useful and accurate information about the product or service in your ad.

* Ensure that your landing page is relevant to your keywords and your ad text.

* Distinguish sponsored links from the rest of your site content.

* Try to provide information without requiring users to register. Or, provide a preview of what users will get by registering.

* In general, build pages that provide substantial and useful information to the end-user. If your ad does link to a page consisting of mostly ads or general search results (such as a directory or catalog page), provide additional information beyond what the user may have seen in your ad or on the page prior to clicking on your ad.

* You should have unique content (should not be similar or nearly identical in appearance to another site). For more information, see our affiliate guidelines.

You have to love how clear Google is with this. If your sites aren't meeting these requirements, expect your Quality and Relevancy scores to plummet. You have to be providing good content to your users and you need to make sure their experience with your site is logical and helpful. Sure, this may mean you need to do some tweaking or make some outright improvements to your sites, but the end result is that Google remains the search engine people trust and expect to deliver them quality results. And your end result is that people will click through to where you want them to be and hit that "buy now" button more often.

The Historical Ebook

By Scott Lindsay

For less than $100 you could purchase a portable ebook device that will allow you to download an ebook and then take it with you when you're on the subway, train, automobile, job or school.

University students are downloading textbooks in many cases toan ebook reader that will store a variety of texts in a format that is light and easy to carry.

Your home PC or notebook can be outfitted with ebook software that will allow the viewing of purchased ebooks, but when and where did the ebook get it's start?

In the late 1960's a post-graduate student named Alan Kay had the concept of a product he describes as, "a portable interactive personal computer, as accessible as a book." What made Kay's statement all the more profound is that it was made prior to the development of a personal computer. Nearly twenty years would pass before something similar to his original vision was developed.

Franklin was the first company to provide an ebook type device. In 1986 Franklin launched a fully functional electronic dictionary. This would be followed in the early 90's by Sony's unveiling of the Electronic Book Player. This product used CD-ROM technology to provide book material for viewing. The limitations of this product gave way to the eBookMan. In both cases consumers were tied to the purchase of discs or cartridges in order to view book materials.

Other products such as Rocket and SoftBook were developed that actually allowed the first credible downloads of ebooks in the late 1990's.

Some ebook readers are even made to look generally like a book with an LCD screen. As electronics have become more sophisticated so, too, have the options for download and viewing.

The way ebooks are distributed in portable devices today is generally through portable PC, PDA or other similar devices. Because there is not a standard software platform for all ebooks there may be software that is required for you to read certain ebooks. Since most portable PC devices can easily connect with a PC through a USB cable or docking station it is not especially difficult to download the needed software.

While some of the early generation ebook devices are still available, many consumers find their limitations make them less desirable than a portable PC.

As handheld devices become more sophisticated we are seeing multi-use devices supporting a broad range of communication capabilities. Today it is a rare moment when we see someone without a means of personal communication they carry with them everywhere they go.

In the end, a growing number of ebooks are making the trip in portable fashion.

Free And Low Cost Web Site Marketing

By Archie Lubman

Actually nothing is entirely free. If you wish to invest little or no money into marketing your site, then you will have to spend a lot of time, energy and show some creativity.

I am sure there are other free and inexpensive ways to advertise on line in addition to those described in this article. I will try to research them and update this article as often as possible.

1.) Email Marketing

Use your site address as your Email signature. In addition to the address, you should also provide a short but meaningful description of the web site. (Example: www.yourcareerlinks.com
-Top Job Search Engines And Career Advice ).

2.) Business Cards, Signs & Gifts

Web Master ( that is you ) can print business cards stating information about your web site. Vista Print (www.vistaprint.com) offers free business cards. You pay only for shipping. When you meet people and tell them about the site, you should also give them cards with your web address.

It is also a good idea to buy inexpensive small magnetic signs with your web site address and short description, and attach them to your car. Other options for car advertisement are customized frame around your tags and bumper sticker. Mugs, pen and other gifts with your site information are often used to promote web sites.

3.) Reciprocal Links

Find web pages similar to yours and ask for reciprocal links (they mention your site at their links page or elsewhere while you do the same at your site.) If you are lucky to have relatives or friends with established, high traffic web sites, ask them to place an ad or link at their site.

Don't place link to your site at FFA ("Free For All") pages where you can have link to your site among millions of others. It is useless and some search engines may even penalize you for doing it.

4.) Ezines

Another way to market your web site is through Ezines. Ezine is Email newsletter. Some Ezines have 1000s of subscribers while others have only 100s. Usually Ezine Ads are inexpensive.

Locate Ezines with content similar to your site and find out how much it costs to place an ad. One can also offer to write articles in exchange for free or discounted ads.

You can find Ezine directory at www.ezinehub.com or just type "Ezine Directory" in any search engine, and you will have a list of other Ezine directories.

5.) Message Boards And Chat Rooms

Message boards and chat rooms might be good tools to promote web page. One major mistake that many web masters make is to go to message board and just drop message with your web site address.

Instead, you should locate chat rooms and message boards with interests similar to your site, introduce yourself, participate in discussions, and then mention your site. This way you will show genuine interest and get acquainted with prospective visitors to your site.

Getting visitors to your site is only part of success. People will not stay long and will not come back if there is no quality content which is updated often. I don't care what your site is about, it must have articles or useful up to date information. If you sell shoes on your site, write an article
on how to choose shoes. In case your site is about boxing, write about boxers or fights.

Content can make or break your site. If people like your content, they will recommend it to others, and you will get many additional visitors.

The Drama Of Starting A Business Or Saving A Floundering Business

By Bill Platt

There are three times in the life of a business where monetary decisions are difficult to make. Those three times are: during the early days of an enterprise; when a business cycle is beginning to slow; and when costs are rising more quickly than sales. All three financial cycles reflect the same business need: a need to increase sales, reduce costs, or both.

As a new business with limited resources, the only real choice is to increase sales. So, the average business owner will dig deep to invest more time and/or resources into the activity of increasing sales. For the new business, there is no other choice... The business owner must make an investment for the purpose of increasing sales. It is a sink or swim proposition, and most business owners will take whatever steps are necessary to help their business succeed.

The small business owner, who is in the startup phase of a business, knows instinctively that the only way they will be able to increase their sales is to do some real marketing and advertising for their business.

Every small business owner will tackle the development of his or her new business in a different way. Some will make significant investments into their business from their own personal savings. Many small business owners will take every single penny earned by their business and pump it back into the business. Others will take fifty cents on every dollar and pump it back into the business. And then there are those who scrimp and save at every opportunity, even to the detriment of their ability to grow their business.

Scrimpers and savers can succeed in business, although it typically takes them much longer to put their business on solid footing, than it takes for the person who invests real resources into marketing and advertising for their business.

When The Business Cycle Turns Down...

I am always surprised when I look out into the real world and see business owners who had invested lots of time and money into the development of their business, and then when they need to manage rough financial times, they go against the grain of what had made them successful in the beginning.

There is a business owner I know here locally who has experienced some very profitable times in the life of his business. He manufactures and sells a very unique and useful piece of automotive equipment that his customer base loves. His business also has just one major competitor in the marketplace who manufactures a similar product. For all intent purposes, his
business resides in a very comfortable position.

However, his business has been suffering from dropping sales. His challenge has been to figure out how to keep the doors to his business open. In recent months, he began going to the bank to
borrow money to pay his employees, and yet, when it comes to marketing his business, he is absolutely unwilling to venture any advertising dollars!

I fear for his future.

In his world, he has been successful selling his product by going to car shows. But, on his last couple car shows, he has not sold enough products at the car shows to cover his expenses getting to the show.

The Internet Is A Low-Cost Way To Supplement The Sales Of An Offline Company

I tried to suggest to him the idea of making better use of his website. His response was that when he had gone to the internet in the past, he wasted his $1,000. I inquired further.

He told me that he had spent $500 to build his website, and then he spent another $500 to optimize his website for the search engines. He told me that he gets a number one ranking in Google, but that has not helped him to earn any sales. Therefore, in his mind, Internet advertising was an foolish waste of his limited operating capital.

It Was Time For A Bit Of Research...

I took an hour to look at his website to see if I could see any obvious reasons for the failure of his internet marketing expenditures. Actually, it did not take very long to see the reasons for his failure.

I was actually quite surprised to see how the company, who he had hired for SEO (search engine optimization), had helped lighten his wallet of $500.

Yes, he did have a number one placement in Google... For the name of his business! Man, that was a tough one to pull off...

Unfortunately, the only word that his website had been optimized for was the name of his business!

If your potential customers do not know the name of your business, how can you honestly expect people to find you?

Your Website Is Not The Be-All-End-All Of Marketing And Advertising

A lot of business owners put up a website and figure that the people will just come rolling into their new website. Then, reality bites.

A well built website will take a new visitor and turn them into paying customers. A well-designed SEO campaign will leave the sales process unharmed, and it will create the foundation for getting better placement in the SERPS (search engine result pages).

These days, an integral part of a good SEO campaign is a measure of Inbound Links (IBL's) to your website. The three top search engines --- Google, Yahoo and MSN --- have all declared that the number of links pointing to a website could dramatically affect how well a website performs in their search results.

Well-placed and well-constructed IBL's to a website actually serve two purposes: they increase the likelihood of your website gaining better placement in the search results, and they appeal to the person who is looking at the website where your link is located.

The Best Links Pointing To Your Website

The best links that point to your website from another website are those that actually peak the interest of your potential customer. A link that says, "MyWebsiteName," is not nearly as effective as a link that reads, "the solution to such-and-such problem."

The point is to appeal to what interests the reader of your link. If you can do that, then the people who visit your website will be focused on the problem that you have said that you can solve.

Article marketing or content marketing builds on this principle. Through article marketing, a business will seek to address an issue within the article that their target prospects might be researching.

Then at the end of the article, after the potential visitor has been educated about the topic they are researching, the reader will see a short, one- or two-sentence sales pitch, and a
solution-oriented link to the writer's website. If the article is done well, the reader will feel a desire to click the link that will take them to the writer's website. The reader's motivation might be to see if the writer provides additional information, or the reader may be motivated to read up on the writer's products or services to see if the writer can help them solve their problem. Either way, the reader will be a strongly-targeted visitor to the article writer's website.

Developing Content For Linking Campaigns

It is not necessary for the person who owns the website to be the person who writes the article that will promote the website. I am sure you have seen articles that say they were written by one person, and then the "about the author" text kicks right into a pitch for a website. When the specified author of the article is not shown as the "owner of" or "an employee of" the website shown in the "about the author" information, then the author is often a freelance writer promoting the website in exchange for a service fee.

The truth is that you can literally find thousands of talented freelance writers on the internet who would be willing to write an article to help you to promote your website. And very literally, you can find several service providers to distribute your article on the world wide web for the purpose of developing Inbound Links to your website.

At The End Of The Day...

All businesses have one basic requirement: paying customers. Given that every business will experience some shrinkage in their customer list, it is important for a business to continue to
develop new customers.

Marketing is a process, not an event. Many business owners get bogged down in the idea that they have more important things tospend their money on than marketing or promotion. But, without a steady flow of new customers, a business simply cannot survive.

As a small business owner, your goal should be to attract as many new sales to your business as you can for the least amount of cost. Don't be afraid to try new things to boost customer interest. And, if something you tried previously did not work for you, don't assume that future attempts will deliver the same outcome. Just ask yourself, do you want to be someone who has to take a loan in order to make payroll?

Top 10 Advantages Of Working At Home

By Anna Allen

Not long ago, I was the kind of person who couldn't even imagine herself working from home. I was the type of person who had to be 'out of the house' or I'd go crazy. I had to be moving around and doing something. I never thought I'd end up working from home and actually like it, but I do.

Working at home, who wouldn't want to do that? There are so many ways to make money working at home and starting your own business, not to mention all the advantages. Some of the
wealthiest people in the world work for themselves. If you were like me and never imagined working from home, I've compiled a list of the Top 10 Advantages of Working at Home.

1. Spending more time with your family - When I was single and had no kids I never wanted to stay home. I always wanted to be out doing something. After I became a 'Mom,' I really hated to
leave my house each morning because it meant that I also had to leave the kids. I hated to see their eyes fill with tears as I would leave. I also didn't want someone else to 'raise them' as I went to work each day. I wanted to be there for their 'firsts' in life; the first time they spoke or the first time they walked. I wanted to witness those things. So spending more time with my family and being there for them meant a lot to me and still does.

2. Set your own hours - Since you are your own boss, you get to say when you will work. No more having to dread that awful alarm clock. If you want to sleep in, you actually get to sleep in. If you want to play with the kids, have lunch with a friend, visit your family or even just sit and watch TV, you can. Just keep in mind that if you do too much of these things and don't actually schedule in time to 'work' you may find yourself having to get back out there and work out of the house all over again. It all comes down to scheduling. Since it's YOUR time, you make the schedule and decide what time you'll start, take breaks and so forth. You can decide if you want to work days, nights or split shifts (which is what I do.)

3. You get to choose a job you enjoy - the beauty of working from home is finding something you enjoy doing so it doesn't seem like actual work. Turning your hobby into a profitable business is a great idea, just make sure there's a market for it.

4. You control your money - whatever money you make after expenses belongs to YOU. You can put it back in your business and make even more money (this is always best) or you can choose to spend it all. It's up to you, just be smart about it and think about the future of your business.

5. No dress code - You do not have to wear a uniform, a shirt and tie, a dress, business suit or anything else that may be uncomfortable. If you want to work in your favorite pair of comfy jeans, in your sweats, in your shorts and tank top, in your pajamas or buck naked (although I wouldn't recommend it) you actually could. Once again, YOU'RE THE BOSS.

6. No more commuting to and from work - If you're like me and hated driving to and from work, this is going to be one of your favorite advantages. For me it meant no more driving in the rain or fog in the winter. It's not that I don't trust my driving, it's the other knuckleheads out there that drive like maniacs. I'm just glad I don't have to deal with that everyday anymore.

7. Save more money - You can actually save more money if you work from home than if you work away from home. In my case, I save ton of money on gas because I no longer have that long commute to and from work, not to mention the wear and tear on my vehicle. I also save on daycare because the kids are now home with me. I save money because I no longer have to eat out for lunch while at work.

8. Tax benefits - Home Based Businesses receive numerous tax advantages. I'm not an accountant (nor do I play one on TV), but I do know I get to write off a lot of things since I work out of my house. I get to write off things like: any start up costs, a portion of my rent or house payment, my computer, any supplies I buy for my business, telephone and electric bill, advertising and many more. Talk to your accountant or book keeper to see what you can write off. Believe me, the more write offs the more you will save on taxes.

9. Less Stress - Since you're working from home you no longer have a boss telling you what you can and can't do. Stress from other coworkers is now a thing of the past. Depending on what field you worked in, you no longer have deadlines, hard to please customers and the stress of not getting paid what you're worth.

10. More Free Time - this goes hand in hand with things I've mentioned like not having to commute to and from work. Because you don't have to commute (at least by car), you have more time to do things you enjoy, whether it's spending more time with family and friends, playing golf, getting to actually make yourself breakfast instead of skipping it or eating on the run. So there is so much more free time. I actually know a guy who works at home and makes very good money. He spends most of his day playing his Xbox or watching DVD's. In the morning he checks his emails, answers any questions from his customers and checks his stats from his websites. The rest of the day is his to do whatever he wants. How great is that?

Working from home really has changed my life. I get to take advantage of all the things I've mentioned above. Plus, my family life is happier. I'm now there for my family. I don't have to answer to anyone. I can't tell you how great that feels. If you are contemplating working from home, I do recommend it. Just don't jump into it blindly. Make sure you take all the necessary steps to ensure your success or you'll find yourself right back out there working away from your home.

To Your Success,
Anna Allen

While you do not need a big budget and I offer a free tutorial about how to start an internet business on a
shoestring (see end of article), you will need some money to get started effectively.

This is why so many gurus suggest you start with a niche that already interests you.

Never assume you know everything or that you cannot learn. Once you fall into either of those traps you are doomed.

If you possess these six key qualities: time, money (just a little), patience, passion, creativity, and brainpower then you can make a success of an internet business.

Do You Have What It Takes To Start Your Own Home Based Business?

By Tanya Shaw

Let me first start off with letting everyone know that I am not a Business "Guru" by any means. In fact, prior to me starting my business, I had had no experience in marketing whatsoever. Like most people, it seemed that all my time was spent working and I didn't have much to show for it. I basically was making just enough to "get by". The commute alone to and from work was
exhausting and costly. I said to myself one day. "This is NOT the way I want to live. Something has to change."

So, one night I went online and started looking for Work at Home Business Opportunities. After extensive research I found some Legitimate ones. I was on my way. I did realize something very quickly however, and that was. you can't start a thriving business overnight. I'll admit, it takes work and also a little investment, but if you are willing, the results can be amazing.

If you are one of those people who dream of having your own business, setting your own hours, not having to answer to anyone but yourself, then a home business opportunity may be right for you.

Do you have what it takes?

The Key to Success in your business is having SELF MOTIVATION. You need to have the drive to push yourself ahead. There will be no one looking over your shoulder telling you WHAT to do or WHEN to do it. Your success lays entirely upon your own shoulders.

The level of success that you will achieve greatly depends on the time and effort you are willing to put into your new home business. Your organization, planning and marketing skills, will all be put into practice when you embark on your journey from employee, to being your own boss. In fact, you will be the wearer of many hats and gain a wealth of business experience along the way, when you finally make that commitment to work at home.

There may be times you feel that things are not going your way, but you need to remember to stay positive and focus on the end result. Even if sales aren't up to par, or if you're getting negative comments from people who are unhappy with their "dead-end jobs". This business is all about you and your life, if you choose to start living it.

A home based business can be truly rewarding. You can start living the life you've always imagined. Free to do what you want.. When you want to do it without having to worry about money or time. You can gain your life back. If you truly want it. Do you have what it takes?

Getting The Most Out Of Your Pay-per-click And Keyword Campaign

By ShirleyA Kelly

Before you start your next Pay-Per-Click or keyword campaign, you had better get a good understanding of what to do and what not to do or you will spend far more money than you intended and your ROI (rate on investment) will not be good. Having a good understanding of how pay-per-click advertising works can help drive targeted traffic to your website and increase your bottom line.

Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising is quickly becoming the fastest and most effective way to reach the top search engine rankings for given key words and phrases. The concept is simple - we pay
or bid competitively, for the placement within each search phrase.

While many of the search engines still have free inclusion, this does not always guarantee top placement. Keyword saturation and search engine optimization or the purposeful use of the keywords often within the website content, is also an unpredictable and often unsuccessful method of gaining ranking.

PPC ads are similar to typical ads within Search Engine Ranking Pages (SERP's), but they are above free listings often labeled "Sponsored Sites." While some offer image or banner advertising in the same auction manner, most PPC ad services focus on text ads with a website URL and brief description of what the site offers.

Where each ad is placed depends on the keywords and key phrases you select for your ad campaign. Depending on the PPC search engine, this fee may be as low as $.01 going up based on popularity, demand and exactly how much others are willing to pay for high placement.

While advertisers pay only by the actual clicks made, visibility is, in essence, free. However there is an unspoken fee associated with "unpopular" or rarely clicked ads. Most Pay-Per-Click services balance the ad click-through rate (CTR) or how many times a viewer clicks the ad and the bid amount we're willing to pay for each click when determining the ultimate seniority of each ad. Because CTR does play a significant role in placement, its wise to bid higher at the outset to gain significant clicks. It is also wise to gain as much interest and click through with each ad as possible to establish a stronger and lower priced ranking. Once this seniority is established, the cost may be lowered without harming the position quite as much.

PPC advertising offers instant results, good or bad. Once an ad is placed, it may be online immediately (in the case of Google AdWords) or within a week (in the case of Overture), receiving clicks and being rated immediately. Because of this instant response, unpopular keywords can be disenabled if not attended to fast enough making it next to impossible to use the keyword or phrase again. Also, because Pay-Per-Click advertising is an auction-style marketplace, SERP placement changes constantly.

To meet these needs, many major PPC advertising engines allow budget and automatic bid set-up. This allows you to put a maximum per day or per campaign budget on clicks, after which
the ad is taken down until the budget is either replenished or automatically rolled-over to the next period. For instance, an advertiser may place a budget of $100 dollars per day on a campaign. When clicks meets this ceiling, ads stop until the next day to use up the next $100.

When conducting a Pay-Per-Click ad campaign, remember to keep the customer and their motivation in mind, develop a list of keywords that describe the products and services, target
keywords the customer will be searching for and use specific phrases that clearly define the offering. Veer away from broad keyword matches, items we don't offer or information that isn't
available on the website.

The current PPC marketing has more advertising demand than available, top-ranking spots. It's not yet known how this demand will measure out or how PPC services will address this concern in the future.

Possibly the most important part of developing PPC ad campaigns is finding the right keyword phrases. To begin developing a strong keyword phrase list, type the initial ideas of what people would search for when seeking the website in a new Excel spreadsheet. Look through the site and analyze the words that describe the products or service. Review the website, identifying words that would be of most interest to the viewers. Check web server logs to find the words visitors currently use to find the site and what pages they find most interesting. Consider what action the customer should take - find information, purchase something, bookmark the site for later shopping or other positive advertising result.

Use the Google Keyword Tool, Overture Keyword Tool or http://WordTracker.com to find other relevant searches around the initial ideas. Its best practice to use the longest search phrases possible, using those no less than three words long. The more specific, the lower the cost and the more targeted traffic received. If selling specific brands, use the brand names in the keyword phrases.

Customers search during all phases of the shopping cycle - from gathering data to comparing prices and finally submitting their credit card with the store. Use keywords within each phase,
considering the highest conversion will come from the audience ready to buy.

Each keyword phrase should be product or service specific. Select the type of keyword searches the ad will show under, such as broad matches, exact matches, negative matches and so forth. For example, a bookshop may want to advertise under the key word phrase "car books," but not show up for the search term "Kelly blue book cars." They have the option of blocking searches with the term "Kelly blue book cars" in the phrase.

Keyword selection is important to narrow down the exact target audience and search relevance. Additionally, the ads gain a stronger click-through rate or CTR when carefully targeted to the search traffic. Ads with low CTR may be disenabled. Ads with high CTR will gain higher ranking at a lower bid cost.

When we target exactly what the consumer is looking for, conversion rate increases significantly.

When searching online, potential customers may type many variations of the keywords including misspellings, plural form or switched word orders. So use these in the Pay-Per-Click ads also to gain the strongest and broadest audience range.

Needless to say there are far more aspects to Pay-Per-Click and Keyword Selection than I can cover in this article but the information provided here should give you a good insight into understanding how important it is to have a good understanding of how the whole Pay-Per-Click and keyword selection works.

Drive Traffic To Your Website Using The Right Keywords

By ShirleyA Kelly

Search engines are the #1 tool people use when shopping for products, services or information online. Optimize your website with the proper keywords or keyword phrases for your content and watch your traffic explode. If you gain an understanding of how to properly promote your website your efforts will reach it's full potential.

To rank relevantly within search engine results, each website must be considered relevant to a particular search algorithm for a given keyword or phrase. Keyword selection can be a challenge to both experts and neophytes. While anyone can come up with various words that may be used when searching for their product or service, these words may not be the ideal mix for search engine ranking. Why? If a marketer chooses a popular keyword phrases, he or she and a million other businesses compete for top placement. Top SERP placement is dense, searchers typically giving up after the first three pages. To succeed, one must use relevant keywords that are not being used by everyone else and that are searched for quite often. This may include misspellings and other alternative data. After finding relevant keywords and phrases, the results must encourage conversion or success based on each business' criteria. For example, while it may be possible for a DVD rental firm to get top listings under the search criteria "free DVD rentals", the person who visits is looking for free merchandise and will leave if its not found.

For optimal search engine rankings, a page will be optimized for only one to two popular but non-competitive keywords or keyword phrases.

Keyword Coding

HTML coding are two words most people never want to hear, especially in a learning environment. But it's important to understand the basic web page header structure and where the search engines look to find key words for search engine ranking pages (SERP).

Sites rank highest when each page is optimized separately. For instance, a business may have one website with unlimited interlinking pages. The top page must be named "index.HTML."
While each sub-page may be named according to the designer or programmer's preference. Ideally sub-pages are named according to the strongest keywords or phrases for each business. Both the domain name and the URL or complete web address string, are important factors in determining search engine relevancy

Three important META tags are on each individual HTML page located between the "head" tags: description, keywords and title. The webpage description is the short sentence that displays after the listing name is the SERP's. The keywords are not viewed by the casual surfer, but offer a clear-cut description of what is found on the website or who's behind it. The title is the most condensed of all metatags. The title should repeat the top 1-2 keywords and describe what the site is about.

We can take the keyword theme as far as necessary, yet success through search engine optimization is not a 100% guaranteed way to gain top rankings and can often dilute the site and
information quality by becoming a string of repetitive keywords, not value-added information. Some of these tactics include adding pages of keyword-rich articles solely to rank high. Another is developing a mini-empire of interrelated sites not for expert information, but solely to make the sites appear more important and relevant to the main site focus.

To ensure a small 30-page website is optimized, it must first renew keyword use each month to find the most popular terms for the three major search engines, Yahoo!, Google and MSN. Each
page must be optimized for different but interdependent terms to strengthen the site as a whole. This involves new keyword research and website content for each page every month.

An example of a good ecommerce site using paid advertising instead of keyword optimization is buy http://automotive.com. Notice the content is relevant to the visitor entering and seeking the product. In contract, auto http://anything.com, a competitor site, relies heavily on keyword content, uses text that has no purpose and confuses the visitor with too many navigation links and useless words meant for search engines alone. Though this may gain rankings with work and keyword saturation, it can also damage a business reputation and ultimately lead to less sales.

Needless to say there are far more aspects to choosing the right keywords than I can cover in this article but the information provided here should give you a good insight into understanding how important it is to design a website that is keyword friendly.

Let's face it, there is no magic bullet when it comes to successfully promoting your online business. There are pros and cons to almost everything you do. If you never develop a plan and put that plan into motion, you'll never know if that's the plan that will ultimately be the "magic bullet" that launches your online business to new found success.

Do give up! If at first you don't succeed, TRY, TRY, AGAIN! There is a lot to learn when starting a online business. Give yourself a break and don't set unrealistic goals. Contrary to
popular beliefs, having a successful, profit making, online business doesn't happen overnight.

So, Good Luck, Make Money and Have Fun Doing It - Shirley Kelly

Advertise On My Site! - A Complete Review.

By Nick P. Bentley

Undoubtedly one of the hottest trends on the Internet today is blogging. The numbers are simply mind-boggling if one has to compare the number of blogs that have been created. This is an incredible way to interact with people who share similar interests and likes as you. This new world serves as a great networking tool. In fact I first discovered this when I decided to advertise on my blog.

At times I post freelance writing jobs on my blog for other writers. Employers advertise on my site indirectly. On the other hand this service is extremely appreciated by a number of my visitors who are in search for work. Instead of visiting countless web pages, many writers come directly to my blog to see what I advertise on my site.

Personally I like consistency so I prefer to take on solid projects with reliable clients. Nonetheless, there is something very appealing about the thrill of the chase. Despite the fact that I don't advertise on my site to find work for myself however I do get a kick out of hunting down the offers. Besides I appreciate the feedback given from the writers who find work through my blog. I simply cannot imagine looking for work on a daily basis. Well, actually, I can because I do search every day. Frankly speaking I really can't imagine relying on the search for my livelihood.

A number of the readers who visit the blog sometimes leave messages just to let me know that they were hired for one project or another. For sure, these messages make my day! I'm
happy to know that the site is doing some good. Unfortunately, one of my readers became offended that I use Google advertisements on my site. Indeed she wanted to know why I advertise on my blog for profit. Well, the profit is quite small. In fact I have found that writers are not really clickers. And in my opinion I also think that clicking on one or two ads is not a big price for the service I provide. Now this brings to mind the question about blog etiquette. A lot of seasoned bloggers get aggravated by the site of advertisements. Nevertheless, these readers should consider the purpose of the site before passing judgment.

The reason behind why I advertise on my site is because it offers a valuable service. Of course, the reader has the option of scrolling down past the advertisements if he isn't happy with them. There is absolutely no obligation at all to click on an ad. The fact is that several of my readers commented that they didn't even notice that I advertise on my blog until the complaint was posted on my site. I'd like to thank that person for complaining. This way my readers are taking time to give me a few clicks now!

How To Create Content Based Niche Sites That Are Profit-bombs

By Tuks Engineer

As the internet evolves at breakneck speed, so do the methods used to derive maximum revenue from online websites & internet based businesses. Did you know that some knowledgeable webmasters are creating absolute FORTUNES today, just by setting up relatively simple content based websites? This article aims to give you the foundations required to join them.

Today, we'll look at how you can yourself create sensational content based niche sites and grab your slice of the hefty profits available to online information publishers. We'll delve into the methods of creating content sites, which (free) content based software to use and what types of internet business models work best with content publishing. We'll also touch on the most effective ways of researching which niches are the best to create your content-based sites in.

But first, let's touch on just WHY having your very own content based sites could return staggering profits for you:

The whole world is coming online. The internet is all about information, and the publishers who know how to implement a successful information based website (in any niche) can extract
income from a wide variety of sources. The information based website can yield revenues from contextual (Adsense) advertising, affiliate income for related products and direct revenue from sales of in-house products (such as eBooks, software & courses directly related to the content subject). The right content, in the right niche can have an explosive impact on your bottom line.

Technology has evolved to a point where many internet users have access to broadband & wireless connections and fast PCs. This means that information publishers can offer content
through a wide range of media including text on-site, ebooks, audio and even video. Many low-cost tools are now available to create high quality audio/video products and stream them from
your own website.

Some niche markets are just beautifully set-up for content sites. For example, take the travel niche - here, website viewers are far more likely to click on to the publishers Adsense displays (as many people do their holiday research online) and affiliate links. If for example you have a website on holidays in the Maldives, how likely are targeted browsers to click on Adsense displays offering quality Maldives vacations? Very. For more information on the travel niche take a look at this Travel Niche Site Creation Kit. The best part is that there are literally thousands of niches and sub-niches for you to create content sites in. Internet marketing, finance, travel, health & beauty...the list is endless.

Now that you're fully aware of the potency of developing your own content based niche sites lets look at how you can get hold of free software that can have you churning out quality niche sites, again and again.

There are of course different ways to go about creating content based websites. However, if you're looking to the future then one of the best options is JOOMLA

Why Joomla?

It's a high quality CMS (content management system). The days of having flat html website pages are numbered. Sure, the majority will still present their content in this way for years to come but the spectacular returns will be made by those using and 'understanding' content systems like Joomla.

Joomla is currently available for FREE. It's also quite simple to install and allows you to create good looking pages that are completely customisable.

Presenting content through blogs became highly popular during the backend of 2004 and is still "in" today. Blogs do offer a lot of advantages compared to standard html pages but the problem now is that it's possible for certain types of software to create literally thousands of "blogs" at the touch of a button. Many of these blogs contain identical content. These "spam blogs" are spreading through the internet like viruses so you can imagine the problems of using blogs now to present quality content. You're up against 'millions' of sites - all competing for attention. The chances of being spidered and indexed with a good search engine location? Not so good anymore. Joomla is a content presentation platform that is a natural progression from blogs.

Joomla can easily be set-up to create very good looking content pages that also blend in affiliate links (eg via Amazon/Clickbank), adsense displays and your own product offerings. This is the structure that all your content websites should take - no matter what niche they are in. It's a structure that maximises your revenue from any given number of visitors. Joomla can also be used to implement various successful internet business content-models including membership site, storefront "magazine" formats.

We've now investigated the benefits of owning quality content sites, how to structure them and the most dynamic free CMS software available.

In this last part of the article let's focus on how to identify niche markets that are ripe for you to penetrate. If you're struggling on deciding which niche market to enter then here's a quick checklist that you can use to make sure you've chosen a niche that should fit in nicely with a content based site:

Your proposed niche should have a high number of prospects interested in it. What constitutes a high number varies according to circumstances, but in general there should be a potential market of millions, or even billions (for example the travel niche outlined earlier).

Your prospects should be cash-rich. They should be able to afford to buy what you're pitching. For instance, people interested in the stock market tend to be relatively affluent individuals looking for ways to increase their wealth. Most of them will gladly spend money to get hold of information that will help them develop their stock picking skills.

There should be at least a couple of high-ticket affiliate programs that you can plug in to increase your overall revenues. Many content site owners will not have their own big-ticket product so it's important to be affiliated with a quality program that can generate hundreds of dollars or more per sale. Again, the travel niche is a great example of this because the site owner can set-up a site about the Maldives as a luxury holiday destination and can link to several travel agents that offer 5% commissions on holidays sold. Given that the average Maldives holiday sells for several thousands of dollars it means very plump commissions for the content site owner.

There should be an active contextual market available. Adsense is fast penetrating just about every niche imaginable, but there remain some areas where the number of contextual
advertisers remain small. This can be a problem for the content site owner, as fewer advertisers can mean fewer potential ads and smaller pay per click values.

Determining which niche to enter is an important decision because it's a long term commitment. Once you enter a niche with a content website, you should be looking to develop it constantly. This means updating the site with fresh information of value to the target prospect so they keep coming back to your site again and again. This will inevitably mean they keep buying more related products from you and keep clicking over your Adsense displays.

The great thing is that it really doesn't take that long to create an impressive portfolio of content based websites...all pulling in substantial revenues from various sources.

Benefits Of Affiliate Marketing And Advertising

By Liz Tomey-Bing

The internet has become more and more popular as a place to make money. With this trend has also come a rise in the popularity of affiliate marketing. Advertising is one of the most prosperous ways to make money on the internet. Many people now experience the satisfaction of marketing a website and making money fairly easily without a lot of up-front expense.

For those who are not yet aware of this wonderful opportunity, take time to learn the basics. Affiliate marketing is an arrangement between a merchant and the marketer. Marketers create a website that features a link to a merchant's company and product. Each time a visitor clinks a link on the marketer's page and subsequently makes a purchase from the merchant, a certain percentage commission is given to the affiliate marketer.

Sounds easy, right? It is. There are a number of benefits that come with this "free advertising" arrangement. Obviously, there is the possibility of an unlimited amount of income. When selecting a program with which to affiliate yourself, look for one that pays a minimum of 40% commission to you. There are hundreds of thousands of various affiliate programs available,
and it is important that you select one that is worth your time and will compensate your accordingly.

The sheer number of opportunities available is another benefit of affiliate marketing. As previously mentioned, there are hundreds of thousands of programs out there. This guarantees
that you can find a product and a program that is right for you. You can find one that works with your website and will be interesting to visitors. You can also seek out a program that offers tools and resources to help you be as successful as possible.

Generally, there is little to no startup cost involved in affiliate marketing programs. This makes it the perfect program for those with little or no money to spend, while still making is easy for those people to make money. The only startup "cost" is time and effort that you must put into learning as much as possible about the product. Once you have that beginner's knowledge, focus on bringing visitors to your website through promotion and advertisement. Yes, there is hard work and time involved in affiliate marketing, but the end results make it well worth that.

Because there are so many different affiliate programs available, it is important that you do not sign up with a contract that binds you for life. You may choose to join forces with several different programs at once, but do not overload yourself. Remember that each is going to require time and effort to both learn and promote. However, choosing shorter term contracts will allow you to drop those that do not generate substantial profit for you.

It should be easy to see why affiliate marketing has become one of the most popular ways to generate revenue on the internet. As long as potential customer continue to peruse the web in search of products, there will always be the opportunity for success. If you invest the time and energy up front, you will set yourself up for an excellent opportunity for profit.

Facts You Never New About Yahoo, Google, Ask Jeeves, And Alltheweb

By Shirley A Kelly

Almost 85% of all knowledge obtained online starts with somebody doing research on one or more search engines. Weather it be a product or a service, search engines are the most likely tool people are using to find what they want. You would benefit greatly to gain an understanding of how search engines can help grow your business.

Search engines have two basic styles - portal and search box focused. In either search style, results depend on inclusion within the engine's extensive database, some using human editing and others fully automated, some requiring paid inclusion and others free. Search results listings are called SERP's or search engine result pages.

Studies have shown that search engines and links are the most effective way to reach web users. While other successful internet marketing tactics include word of mouth and traditional direct mail advertising.

Search engine marketing is tiered, meaning one may promote a website on the search engines at various levels of visibility. Each level offers a distinctly different service than the next. At the most basic level of marketing is search engine listing which is simply registration in any given search database. This doesn't guarantee or solidify ranking in the top results, but does obtain consideration. The next level is called search engine optimization, or improving a website's ability to gain top rankings in SERP's.

To rank relevantly within search engine results, websites must be considered relevant for a particular search algorithm for that particular keyword or phrase. This is a dynamic and growing strategy based on various tactics aimed to use search algorithms to the marketer's best advantage. Currently, websites rank highest when each page is optimized separately. Metatags are thus developed with appropriate content.

There are countless search engines driving traffic to websites. Most of these are small, targeted and growing, while others have large, broad and loyal audiences. Just a few search engines control the majority of queries on the Internet. These leaders include: Yahoo, Google, Ask Jeeves, and AllTheWeb.

Other search sites compile results from multiple search engines into all-encompassing SERP's. Finally, a one-of-a-kind undertaking, the Open Directory Project or DMOZ is a non-commercial directory focused on human-editing and free inclusion.

Studies also indicate search engines and links are the most effective method to reach users. According to GVU users survey, 85 percent of all new visitors currently arrive from search engines. Other strong marketing venues include word of mouth and print direct mail advertising.

Traffic Facts

The following shows the average reach. For instance, if you sampled a million Internet users, average reach states how many visit each of the follow (Metrics as of February 2005.)

Yahoo301,800 reach per million Internet users
Google170,650 reach per million Internet users
Ask Jeeves6,905 reach per million Internet users
AllTheWeb1,070 reach per million Internet users
Dogpile1,485 reach per million Internet users
DMOZ1,880 reach per million Internet users

Today Yahoo is the top ranked, highly trafficked website on the Internet. Word of mouth grew into what is now a publicly traded company. Yahoo listing is as important as that in the phone book.

Google.com open in a garage in September 1998 in Menlo Park, California. Google handled more than 100 million search queries a day by the end of 2000.

In February 2002, Google launched Ad Words, a self-serve cost per click advertising model. In December 2002, Google launched Froogle, a free product search service. 2004 brings Local Search and Gmail, as well as a public offering under the ticker GOOG.

No longer a garage business, Google reaches an average of 148,800 million users each day. Being included in the next Googlebot Internet crawls is as important as drinking milk.

Ask Jeeves Inc. was founded in 1996 and is now a publicly traded company with headquarters in California. Its syndicates search technology and advertising units to a affiliate partner network including Excite, http://Ask.com, Teoma, Ask Jeeves Kids, MyWebSearch, MySearch, MyWay, MaxOnline, iwon.

Ask Jeeves began as a human-edited listing but has since abandoned this for algorithmic search results. Smart Search allows users to search keywords such as celebrity names and receive an instant biography and photograph above results. Binocular icons next to certain results allow quick web page previews.

A Overture Services business, AlltheWeb's index (provided by Yahoo) includes billions of web pages, as well as tens of millions of PDF and MS Word files. AlltheWeb offers specialized search tools for the major browsers and advanced search features, supporting searches in 36 different languages, news, images, audio, video and multimedia files.

AlltheWeb is powered by FAST and considered by some as a likely candidate to exceed Google's success. The search engine's strongest asset is fresh information, re-indexing sites and removing broken links every 7-11 days. AllTheWeb is also know for its SafeSearch filtering option that removes offensive content from SERP's.

The information provided here should give you a good insight into understanding how the major search engines got their start. Market your website to these top search engines and improve traffic to your online business.

Don't give up! If at first you don't succeed, TRY, TRY, AGAIN! There is a lot to learn when starting a online business. Give yourself a break and don't set unrealistic goals. Contrary to
popular beliefs, having a successful, profit making, online business doesn't happen overnight.

Website Development On Your Own Terms

By Scott Lindsay

The early days of web development saw a relatively small handful of 'experts' and had them seeking to find ways to make a website do what their client wanted them to do. There was very little standardized methods to make website development an easy process and each site may have been designed with customized programming that may have been totally incompatible
with any other site.

When the number of programmers raised from a few hundred to more than 30,000 it became much clearer that there needed to be some cohesive way to simplify things. This process led to new partnerships and development applications that have become the standards of the day.

As new developments are unveiled they are field tested by programmers and implemented once it is clear that the methodology is workable.

In many cases these new development programs can be refined and repackaged into a form based method that allows non-tech customers to develop a website that is as functional as any
other site and at a fraction of the cost.

Certainly this was not possible in 1995, but through the trial and error of more than ten years the best features have risen to the top and the have proven very useful to both programmers
as well as online business.

With so many programs available to developers today it is becoming much easier to upgrade features and enhance website productivity.

Many programmers are very interested in making site developments self-directed by their customers. The reason is simply the sheer numbers of new sites that are being developed. If at least a portion of the site can be managed by the customer there are two benefits, 1) less need for one on one development for the programmer and, 2) more direct control by the website owner.

When the business owner has the capability of managing the functions of the website the faster the clarity of vision can be realized. This is largely viewed as one of the predominate features of self-directed programming on website developments.

The cost effective nature of self-directed site development has caused many to wonder why they didn't look into this solution before. Many new start-up ecommerce sites have discovered this method to be the quickest way to provide their potential customers with the full benefit of their services.

The future of web development has a lot to do with the expectations of website owners and the demands of the consuming public. It is a safe assumption that as new technologies are required there will be programmers who can assist in its development and then work to refine the function so that ecommerce can implement the technology in a self-directed user-friendly format.

For sure that little office cubicle you sit behind isn't the only way to earn a living. Today there is a world of opportunities coming up at all times. With the evolution of the World-Wide-Web, there are a number of people turning to the Internet in search of a money making business. Have you considered this new-age road of opportunity? Yes, many others are doing it, then why can't you? It's time to size up the options at hand. Surely it's time to look beyond "the man" for alternative business ventures. Who knows? Maybe that money making business of your dreams could be just around the corner.

Folks, do you know what it takes to have a successful money making business? Well, this can be a rather in-depth issue. Though there are some fundamental factors when considering a personal business. Firstly can you afford to get it started? Secondly, do you really believe it is a money making business? Surely these things are not too difficult to figure out. Everyone can check out everyday which business pan out and which don't. For a majority of this is common sense. Like will a coffee shop make money? This should be a no-brainer. For sure the entire planet has witnessed countless coffee shops flourish with success. No matter which state you are from, maybe Oregon or Washington, then you certainly know where I'm coming from. Who would have thought five years ago, that a rather small town could have a dozen coffee shops that fare quite well. I was clearly wrong. In Oregon, I have witnessed infinite coffee shops turn into a constant profit. The key is great coffee, and the right location.

These are a few factors you need to think about if you are considering a money making business in the future. You need to decide what product or service you wish to offer. Also give a thought on the reasons why customers should come to you instead of your competitors. And for sure, the main key is location, location, location!

Think about it; is it time to upgrade your career and kick start your own money making business? Perhaps you crave to make profits and take fewer directions from others? This is completely feasible these days. Nowadays it's not only wise but practical to use the Internet to your advantage. Exhaust this source to the maximum. It's a great vehicle to success. Undoubtedly someone starts a new money making business day after day with the Internet's assistance. Hop online and do some brain storming.

The Secrets Behind The Best Affiliate Programs: Doing It The Right Way

By Mario Churchill

Aren't you curious about what makes some affiliate programs work and what makes other affiliate programs doom to failure? More importantly, don't you want to know what the people behind the best affiliate programs have in common and how and why they're enjoying so much success?

Critical Success Factors of the People behind the Best Affiliate Programs

EXCELLENT PRODUCT OR SERVICE - The success behind the best affiliate programs is not primarily due to marketing expertise alone. Beyond that, the success that these programs achieved was mainly due to the type of product or service being endorsed by its affiliates. If you don't have an excellent product or service to begin with, you can only achieve marginal and short term success from your affiliate program.

It's important that you concentrate first on finding the right product or service to sell before worrying about affiliate programs.

FORTITUDE - If you want the street slang counterpart for it, fortitude is also known as "staying power". The people behind the best affiliate programs, believe it or not, went through
the same things that you're experiencing right now, obviously not to the same degree but your experiences are fundamentally the same.

What separates these people from others is their fortitude. They understood that it takes a considerable amount of time for any affiliate program to achieve success. As long as they were
reasonably certain about the soundness and effectiveness of their plans and strategies, these people were willing to wait and bide their time, even if it seemed that there was no tomorrow and absolutely nothing was happening to their affiliate programs.

But something did happen, and all their waiting paid off. It can happen to you too, if you're waiting with the right affiliate marketing strategy.

THE POWER OF ADWORD OR ADSENSE - Pay per click ads or any of its improved versions is the best way to advertise about your products and services. It is also integral to the success of
your affiliate program. Indeed, if you make a study of the best affiliate programs presently in the Internet, you'll see how most - if not - all of them have made use of this type of advertising.

Of course, making use of adwords or Ad Sense is not enough to guarantee total success for your affiliate program. You also need to understand the types of powers it does have and to what extent it can be used before you can effectively incorporate it to your affiliate program.

IT'S ALL ABOUT SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION - The people behind the best affiliate programs in the Internet don't allow themselves to depend completely on other people when it comes to the SEO aspect of their programs. If you want to experience success, you need to understand exactly what's required from you and what you can do about it.

Choosing to delegate the unpleasant and troublesome aspects of the job is not the way to go about it. If you don't take time to understand the principles behind SEO and its various techniques and choose to let someone take care of it, how will you know if what's being done for your affiliate program is right?

SEO is what drives traffic to your website, so isn't that enough reason and motivation for you to sit down and finally tackle the concept of search engine optimization?

ALWAYS GET SECOND PEOPLE OPINION - Although the people behind the best affiliate programs are in some way or another confident about their decisions and choices, this doesn't mean that they are convinced they know all there is to know about the Internet and about the products or services being advertised.

Adopting such an attitude is in fact career suicide. If you wish for your affiliate program to work, you need to acquire a second or even a third opinion about what you're doing. Naturally choose someone you trust, capable of dishing out the truth no matter how unpleasant and whose expertise is a given. Don't feel bad if you hear something critical, because you need to learn about these deficiencies in order for your affiliate program to approve.

WHERE TO FIND CUSTOMER LOYALTY - Old clients are easier and harder to please than new ones depending on the situation. Gather the contact details of die-hard customers by building an email opt in list. With such a list, you're guaranteed an ear that's ready and willing to listen to what you have to offer!

Incorpate all the factors discussed in your strategy and you're sure to end up with a winning affiliate program as well!

Affiliate Project X

By Jamie Clarkson

Affiliate Project X, or "APX," is an ebook providing methods for earning income as an affiliate marketer on the internet. There are many such methods, techniques, products and services being touted as "the key" to earning big money online. The field of net marketing is rife with competition, each one trying to outdo another. APX is no different in this regard, and its author, Chris McNeeney, found his product breaking Clickbank records upon its release in October 2006. Shortly after its launch, Affiliate Project X was flying around countless internet marketing lists, blogs and forums. I myself received at least a half a dozen emails about APX from a number of internet marketers, including some of the better-known names.

Affiliate Project X does not pretend to be exhaustive in its methods and techniques. It is, in fact, rather short, cutting to the chase about various popular internet marketing methods. For example, the first technique in Project X is also the simplest, allowing you to be up and running in a fairly short time. Called "The Leech," this method requires you to have a website and a product such as an ebook, which you can get from affiliate databanks and which you then promote with a few targeted keywords in a pay-per-click advertising campaign. It is well known that information products such as ebooks, CDs, videos and audios are easier to sell and return good commissions. You could also apply this method to any other product and service, of course. With a profitable product and advertising campaign, experienced marketers - and even some clever "newbies," or people new to internet marketing - can and do rack up a significant amount of money. Anyone who has studied affiliate marketing for a while knows that fact. So what makes Project X any different? It is the way in which Chris lays out this technique, concisely and precisely, which makes it more readily understandable. The same can be said of the other methods in Affiliate Project X, including 'The Workhorse," which, as the name implies, requires somewhat more work.

There is some question about whether or not Affiliate Project X violates the terms of service of one of the major affiliate networks, Clickbank, because it recommends using bonuses and rebates. The book was poured over by Clickbank managers and, other than a short section that Chris excised upon request, was given the seal of approval for sale, which indicates that it does not break any rules. There is also a problem with the recommended manner for cloaking affiliate links, as the code sometimes does not work in placing the requisite cookies on the purchaser's computer, causing commissions to be lost. There does not seem to be an easy answer for that problem, and many affiliate marketers have continued to use "naked" affiliate URLs.

All in all, Affiliate Project X is a good and comprehensive overview of some the best methods and techniques used by experienced marketers in order to make money online with affiliate programs.

Online Marketing: Connect The Boughts

By Scott Lindsay

"A powerful global conversation has begun. Through the Internet, people are discovering and inventing new ways to share relevant knowledge with blinding speed. As a direct result, markets are getting smarter-and getting smarter faster than most companies." - The Cluetrain Manifesto

The explosive growth of many ecommerce websites may be directly linked to conducting business differently than their storefront counterparts.

It is estimated that 17-20% of the earth's population taps into the worldwide web on a regular basis. Savvy web proprietors see the amazing possibilities in ecommerce. That power is very simple to define. It is the power of response.

Prior to the advent of the Internet most business relied exclusively on mass marketing in hopes someone would pick up a paper, listen to a radio station, watch a television program or read a sports guide. Obviously this form of marketing has a semblance of success or it wouldn't be used. However, as online marketing has become more sophisticated, web-based entreprenuers are discovering that they can actually gain significant control over how to market their ecommerce site and who to target with their message.

"The new information technology, Internet and e-mail, have practically eliminated the physical costs of communications." - Peter Drucker

The list of online marketing resources is significant, but it is continually fueled by instant, effective and global communication between client and staff. The use of email has rendered mail a component of product fulfillment instead of client correspondence. The same tool can be used to inform your client base of new products, services or special online events.

Most customers like the ability to communicate instantly. Email can allow this objective without wait times on a phone service with menu choices longer than a local fast food joint. It is understood that the use of an online retailer offers both an impersonal and highly personal means of shopping. Impersonal because the customer receives no high-pressure sales pitch - personal because customer service is standing by to handle any difficulties.

The Internet will help achieve "friction free capitalism" by putting buyer and seller in direct contact and providing more information to both about each other. - Bill Gates

Online marketing provides the means to draw customers to your website in very specific and targeted ways that were never achievable by standard mass marketing campaigns.

The process for developing a comprehensive online marketing strategy involves mobilizing your resources to optimize your site, provide meaningful content to visitors, making sure your site is easy to navigate and providing goods or services the customer needs.

As with a brick and mortar store it is important to always keep the customer first. An effective online marketing strategy allows you several means of managing follow up as well as ongoing client relations.

How To Improve Your Life With An Accredited Online College Degree

By Andy West

With the information super highway raring full steam ahead, quality accredited online college degree programs are becoming a more plausible way to get an education. Now more than ever,
time is becoming a huge factor in people's lives. Balancing personal and professional lives on top of school is becoming increasingly difficult.

Therefore, many people are choosing to get the education they deserve without sacrificing the other important areas of their lives. It is now possible to receive the same credits that you would get from attending full-time classes at a college from the comfort of your own home.

There are a lot of things to consider when deciding if accredited online college degrees are the route that is best suited for you. It takes quite a bit of self-discipline to do well in an academic setting. However it takes even more to be able to do it from home.

In a class setting, a routine will be set that will involve the students and the instructors getting together several times per week. But if you are learning online, it is up to you to decide what times are best for you and to make your schedule accordingly.

There are also a few other things to take into consideration before deciding on this method. Basic computer knowledge and a reliable computer are absolutely essential to successful online
learning. You will be using the computer to access your assignments, to send them in and also to conduct research. If you are not comfortable with computers, or you don't have a dependable Internet service, then you might find it exceedingly difficult.

It is also imperative to be comfortable with the written language. Almost all of your communications will be in writing, so that is something that is very important. There is virtually no personal contact, so proper writing and communication skills are essential.

A few years ago, online learning was not as broad as it is now. There were only a few select courses to choose from and it was difficult to find the one you want. But these days you can get
almost any degree you could ever dream of without ever having to leave your house.

Whether you have an interest in law, accounting or health care you are bound to find the perfect course for you. And most accredited online college degree course can be found at the bachelor, associate and graduate levels. Therefore, no level of education is out of reach.

One of the major costs in attending school is the textbooks. After a full program, you would normally have to spend thousands and thousands of dollars on textbooks alone. Not the mention the cost of tuition.

Many accredited online college degree programs include the cost of the textbooks in the tuition. Well balancing a work life and a school life, every penny saved adds up in the end.

One of the best features of any online learning program is that it suits your schedule. You can learn and study any time of the day and on any day. This is a great benefit for those who wish to continue working full-time and earning their degrees in the evenings.

The appeal of learning online is being realized by more people every day. The sheer convenience is reason enough to motivate you to earn the degree that will land you your dream job. So, make that dream a reality with one of the many accredited online college degree programs.

Online Bachelor Degree Programs Go Mainstream

By Andy West

The Internet has seen an explosion in online bachelor degree programs in the last five to ten years and this trend should continue to expand rapidly in the future. In large part the increasing popularity of online bachelor degree programs is due to the now common acceptance of a bachelor degree from on online university as equivalent to what can be obtained at any bricks
and mortar school.

When online classes first began springing up on the Internet in the 1980s, they were primarily focused on certificate programs or technical degrees. Some of the schools were started virtually overnight and did not have proper accreditation and the reputation of online schooling became tarnished as a result. However, in the last decade there has been a significant turn-around. There are several reasons for this new attitude, due largely to the increasingly exceptional education that can be had through an online university.

Today's online bachelor degree programs rival traditional university classes. Colleges and universities that had already established reputations as traditional schools long before hitting the Internet now offer these online programs. Employers know that the curriculum is identical whether the course is online or in a classroom, so the education is top-notch in either case. In fact, there is often more one-on-one attention with an online bachelor degree program because each student can regularly communicate directly with the professor by email to get feedback and direction.

Good online bachelor degree programs are now accredited by the same agencies that accredit more traditional colleges and universities. Three accreditation organizations that are recognized by the Federal Government as high quality indicators are the U.S. Department of Education, Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS), and Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). Any online universities accredited by one of these councils offers a program recognized as at least equal to a bachelor's degree program at a traditional post-secondary school.

In fact, if you graduate from an online bachelor degree program today you will receive a diploma that is no different from the one that students attending the residential college will receive. You will have completed the same curriculum, including taking core requirement classes, and will graduate with the same knowledge. When applying for jobs, employers will not know whether you attended traditional classes or online classes because it is no longer acknowledged on official transcripts or diplomas.

Employers favor online bachelor degree programs for their employees. Employers have always known the value of allowing employees to pursue a college education. In the past, this was usually done through night and weekend classes and the employer sometimes reimbursed costs. Unfortunately many class schedules aren't flexible and employers began to realize the expense of university classes in both money and time.

An online bachelor degree program has become the ideal solution for employers who encourage an education for employees. They can set their own pace and work schooling around their work
schedule. The cost of online classes is generally less than the classroom setting as well, making it attractive for company reimbursement programs.

Finally, employers appreciate the additional opportunities that an online bachelor degree program can offer. Because individuals do all of the work online, location is not an issue. If a computer salesman with an associate's degree would like to focus on a Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, for instance, he can look for an online university anywhere in the United States that offers this specialized degree.

With everyone from accrediting agencies to employers giving them high marks, online bachelor degree programs have firmly arrived in the educational mainstream.

Online Degree Program Just A Click Away

By Andy West

You want to go shopping, but your car is low on gas. You want to know your account balance, but do not have time to go to the bank. You want to further your education but do not have the
time to go to classes. We turn to the World Wide Web. As fast as Ipods and Tivo were mainstreamed, Internet colleges are making their mark in the educational world and an online degree program is just a click away.

Online classes have existed for nearly as long as the Internet has been around. Many people across the United States and the world find it as an easy way to further their education in a
flexible setting. Colleges that have an online degree program offer a wide range of courses and degrees to suit pretty much everyone. For those who are already in the job market and want
to expand their knowledge but are not interested in a four year program may be interested in an Associates Degree. If an individual strives to become more marketable in the work force
and wants a four-year degree, a Bachelor's Degree would be best suited. And then there is the Graduate Level Degree for those who already have their Bachelor's, but are still looking to
expand their knowledge. Whatever the desire, it is more than likely offered in an online program.

A great aspect of an online degree program is the flexibility associated with it. If you're an early riser and would rather read those required chapters or complete the assignments in the morning, online courses allow for it. On the other hand, if you are a late owl and would rather complete the assignments at midnight, this is also possible with an online course. The Internet gives you the flexibility to choose when you want to take your class. In essence, you choose your own hours.

Another flexible feature of receiving a degree online is that an individual can work and go to school at the same time. Trying to work full time while going through a traditional degree program full time is nearly impossible. However, an online degree program makes it simple to work full time. An individual can go to work during the day and complete course work at night and on weekends. This flexibility makes online education a viable option for many people who thought they would not be able to further their education because of work or their financial situation.

The cost of an online degree program is another benefit to completing a degree online. Being able to work full time while going to school helps in covering expenses, but there are other cost benefits as well. Your classroom is the Internet, so a student does not have to relocate in order to go to school. Many people do not have an institution of higher education located right in their community, so completing a traditional degree program would inevitably mean relocating. Completing the course work online would save costs in relocating as well as other fees and expenses associated with moving or commuting.

While an online degree program may intimidate some people, it is set up so that it can accommodate everyone. Some may be intimidated because there is no personal, face to face
interaction with other students or even a professor, however, the flexibility of the programs outweigh those factors. Some may also shy away from an online degree program because of a
number of scams on the Internet. However, if you research an institution's credentials and accreditations before making a decision, your experience will be a whole lot better. Pick a
reputable online educational institution and you are on your way to the degree of your choice.

Facts & Myths About Search Engine Optimization

By Steve Phillips

When considering utilizing search engine optimization methods to help improve your website's overall ranking in search engines, here are some "facts" and "myths" about SEO:

Fact: Google, Yahoo and MSN are considered the "Big 3" when it comes to search engines.

Yes, it's true. In fact, just over 95% of all Internet searches are conducted using either Google, Yahoo and MSN. This leaves less than 5% percent for all of the other search engines combined.

Myth: There are 1,000 search engines on the Internet.

Nope. Not true. If you see an advertisement saying "we'll submit your site to 1,000 search engines", then they probably also want to sell you a bridge in Brooklyn. Actually, there are only 40 or so true search engines. The rest of them are actually using search engine results from Google, Yahoo, MSN or a combination of all three.

Fact: Search Engine Optimization is not a "one-and-done" process.

Good SEO is an on-going progress. You have to do so many things - and do them right - to get ranked at the top of search engines. Then, once you have earned those high rankings, you have to work twice as hard to keep your site there. Afterall, when you moved into the top spots, you've bumped someone. Rest assured, they are going to start working harder to regain that
spot.

Myth: You can trick search engines.

Go ahead and try. And, when you get caught, your website will be banned from search engines. There are all kinds of tricks search engine optimization consultants try and, yes, you might get ranked No. 1 in Google for your "black hat" efforts. But, when you get caught - and you will - your site will be doomed for a long time.

Fact: Search engines love fresh content.

Definitely. Just like people, search engine spiders (also called "robots") will come back to your site often when you write and publish fresh content.

Myth: Search engines don't look at Meta Tags anymore.

Wrong. Search engines do look at Meta Tags. Typically, they don't put much faith in what you've written there as the gospel, but they'll come back and look more at your site content to verify what keywords you're concentrating on.

Fact: Links will help get your site ranked higher.

True. However, create "backlinks" with sites that have a Google Page Rank of 5 or better. Avoid link farms. Don't pay for links and, if you can help it, don't trade links with everyone on the web.

Myth: The more links you have the better.

Wrong. Be selective. Get good quality sites to publish a link to your site. Don't pay to be listed in directories (with the exception being in Yahoo Directory). Avoid link farms (these are sites that are just a bunch of links).

Fact: A Sitemap is a good thing to have.

True. While a Sitemap, especially a Google Sitemap, will not guarantee a higher ranking in Google, it will help you make sure that all of the pages in your site are being crawled by Google.

Myth: Pay-Per-Click is not worth it.

False. If your website is not listed high in organic search engine results, then you should consider a pay-per-click (PPC) campaign. Yes, some click fraud does exist, but if you opened a
retail store, you'll probably be a victim of shoplifting at some point. Instead, create a smart campaign and stick to a budget. Then, perhaps as your organic rankings improve, you may
consider backing off the PPC campaign. Or, perhaps not!

Removing Bloggers Block

By Chris Taylor

Some of you may have already experienced writer's, or in this case blogger's, block. This is when you can't seem to start blogging anything worthwhile, sometimes not even a single word's worth.

How could this happen when you were so good at blogging before? Why is it that you can't get one word written? And the most frustrating thing of all: the more time you spend thinking about blogging, the less able you are to start your next project! Is there any cure? Luckily, there are a few things you can try.

Visiting other people's blogs is a good start. Read through your favorite ones, or do a random blog search and see what gets turned up. Reading what other people have to say can spark your own creativity and send you over the hump of blogger's block. Leave some comments to get you started; you might be able to expand on their ideas, and sometimes you can track back to your own blog. Looking at your blog inbox can help, too, as there might be a question or comment there that can get you started.

Look for a word or topic. Then begin writing about it. You can also do this with pictures. Check out photos and think of something to write about it. You can also check the news, which is always rich with current events. Even if there isn't anything that directly relates to what you normally write about, writing about something completely different than your normal topics
can help.

If those things do not seem to work for you, you can search for creative or journal writing software to help you with your writing problem. Oftentimes, these things have suggestions of
topic or idea that can help you get started.

Think about an extraordinary topic. For example, you can research about inventions and inventors. What was the first car ever invented? Anything that you fancy can become a blog entry. You can look for answers to questions like the one about the car at online resources like encyclopedias and almanacs. When you have the answer, blog about it. You never know, maybe some people are thinking of the same things and you have answered their questions. Besides, it can be good to drift from your usual topic one in awhile. Your readers might feel refreshed by
the change.

If none of these exercises help, it might be time to do something unrelated to writing for a while. Sometimes we just need a break from writing! Go outside, go shopping, go to a movie. Anything to take your mind off of your blog. You just might feel refreshed and ready to start blogging once you get back up in front of your computer.

There are a lot more ways to beat blogger's block. If you come up with something new that helps you get over it, think of what a good blog topic your experience would be! Who knows, you may even help someone out there who is struggling with blogger's block!

Make Money With Information Ebook Products: The Other End

By Stephanie Histockery

I don't like thinking of myself as the kind of person that has made it rich on the internet, but in some ways I am. I started out like most people, signing up for affiliate programs and promoting OTHER people's products. I'd make some money, nothing big. I couldn't help but think what it must be like for the people on the other end. I mean, think about it. They sell their item directly and then you do the work for them which rake in more sales. I wanted to be on that end of the market. So I decided to start my own website selling information products which I purchased from vendors. Let me tell you, resale rights are expensive.

I tried those stupid eBay e-books that offer resell rights but they offer them for a reason. Because they are hard to sell and usually won't make that much money. So after years of trying
different products, I finally found one that works. It was a product featured at www.subliminalblackbook.org. I took it at the advice of a fellow work-at-homer. I figured great, another e-book with resell rights. My friend told me to try and if I didn't make 10 sales, he would pay for it. What did I have to lose?

Three months later I am now making about $100 a day selling the same product. Here are some tips. First, buy a product that sells. The one I purchased at www.subliminalblackbook.org was
an amazing find. You can try that or another product. Just make sure it can convert. Next get a domain name that contains your product keyword in the URL. Now submit to search engines. Use SEO (Search Engine Optimization) tips. Keep your keywords in your content. Write a great web copy and make sure you explain to visitors your BENEFITS not FEATURES. Example, an ROI (Return on Investment) calculator is a feature, the benefit is that it will save the consumer time and money. Keep our site professional and offer an email or phone number for help always.

Follow these tips and you should be getting traffic and conversions in no time. Let me know about your progress by contacting me.

Site Promotion: 101

By Scott Lindsay

The subject of site promotion is a key part of online marketing. It does you no good if you build a beautiful site, but no one knows about it.

If you are just starting your website you may wish to use some (or all) of the following techniques in your site promotion plan.

Press Release - By providing a comprehensive overview of your site launch you may find suitable places in print and especially online where potential customers can read your material, but so can informational sites that have an interest in your products or services and may wish to share the news with their informational consumers.

Site Submission - There are many search engines you can submit your site information to. These sites will take time in reviewing your site and give it an initial ranking in their search engines. There are services that will submit your site information to search engines for a fee. This can be a time saver, but there is also a fee for the service in most cases.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) - When you work through the details of focusing on specific keywords or phrases throughout your website you may improve site rankings in search engines
and be featured in a better position based on the reputation of your website.

Pay Per Click (PPC) - The advertising technique of PPC is a cost effective way to target consumers with an interest in your products or services. Very simply advertising on multiple sites that are linked because of their keywords can provide a significant impact in terms of visitors who have the best chance of conversion to your customer ledger.

Link Exchange - You should consider the possibility of asking other sites in your circle of influence to post a link to your site within the body of their websites. This may be a reciprocal link, but it doesn't have to be.

Auctions - It is possible to place some of your products at auction on one of the popular online auction sites. The reason this is considered a site-promotion technique is that it provides a free opportunity to have your online business featured when a bargain hunter is looking for the type of products or services you provide.

Email Marketing - the use of an opt-in email list is a good way to promote your site as long as you make certain you are sending relevant material that isn't broadly considered spamming.

Certainly there are other methods of site promotion, but this gives you a quick rundown of some of the more popular methods to 'get the word out'.

What Is The Definition Of SEO?

By Jon Rognerud

How to use search engine optimization to be found (rescued) on the Web.

A few years ago, my good friend Bill B. bought his first sail boat.

He called and told me: "Jon, today - I bought a new sailboat, and it's the happiest day of my life"! I grinned and told him: "I also understand that selling it will be your happiest day of your life". (Turned out I was right).

What does sailing have to do with SEO and this article?

The story continues: My buddy Bill did end up selling it a few years later (you'll see why). I taught him how his boat could be found and sold via web search traffic to his website, which we set up together.

Today - he has a thriving web business, and he has bought and sold many boats and accessories since those early years. He went full-time into the web business, and he understands the power of SEO and ranking high for key search terms.

What is the definition of SEO, and why is it important to your business?

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization, or as defined by Google: Search Engine Optimizer. SEO is a subset of the umbrella term Search Engine Marketing (SEM).

Properly applied search engine optimization allows your site to be not only seen by the search engines, but when a search term (keywords, phrases) is entered, you can rank very high in the
search engine results pages (SERPS). The results pages are typically a combination of natural (sometimes called organic) results, paid inclusions (directories) and pay-per-click (PPC) ads.

The wholly grail for online marketers centers around being found on the first page of Google, currently owning well over half of the market of all searches. If you further optimize in such a way that it brings *quality* traffic, that can be the ultimate return on investment (ROI), assuming you have a solid back office process. If you have optimized well for Google, you will rank good in the other majors (MSN, Yahoo) also.

Interestingly enough, Search Engine Optimization is not optimizing the search engines themselves, (SEO-ers can only make experienced and industry guesses) but rather optimizing
the websites, content and related parts (links) so the users can find you easily. It's all about relevancy. Many folks hire professional consultants to perform SEO, and some attempt to do it themselves, which I will help you with during the months to come.

My sailing buddy was lost at sea.

That third weekend of his boat saga, he told his wife that a trip outside of the safe harbor and into somewhat un-chartered waters would be a fun and challenging experience, and he brought a friend along to assist.

Normally, he would have reviewed the weather forecast, map (lat/long), trip log, flares, emergency contact info and courses outlined, including both physical and radio contact points to coast guards and ports, but he neglected all this by making a stupid mistake: he did not fully prepare and made some bad assumptions.

It was a poor weekend to go out as well. A tranquil beginning, they were relaxing and enjoying the sea. However, the weather turned quickly into one of the fiercest storms and many hours later, they were missing at sea.

The coast guard and others were looking for them (SEO: visitors), his boat and crew had not prepared a strategy (SEO: competitive analysis, know your audience, know where you are (your value proposition), and what keywords to use) and this was a different route than anytime before (SEO: know who your link partners are that can help you get ranking/visibility/popularity via relevant links in your topical, themed community).

The next 24 hours at sea were not good, to say the least. Here they were, way off course, nobody could find them, and they had run out of options. By stroke of luck, one ship happened to
cross their path almost 100 nautical miles off course. (SEO: Was this a random 'visitor'?)

My friend and his associate were rescued, and what a big lesson it was. They learned that careful preparation, planning and execution, as well as adjusting for bad weather (SEO: competitive analysis, thoughtful planning) are cornerstones to a successful trip. This also means never giving up, (SEO: keep content fresh, adust, and monitor changes in the search engine algorithms), you can survive!

Summary:
SEO done right can enable you to be found (in the sea of billions of web pages), and ranked well. You should always provide relevant information that the users are looking for, and you'll have a steady stream of visitors, 24x7x365.

Make sure to include solid search engine optimization strategy, tactics and operational context for a safer (relevant) trip on the World Wide Web.

SEO is one of the most powerful online marketing mediums there is, and the display of those query results are completely free, and doing it right will elevate your positions.

Advantages Of A Professional Web Design Vs Doing It Yourself

By Gabriel Adams

Your website says a great deal about you and your business. It can make the difference between making a sell and the consumer using another website for their purchase. It is quite possible to design a website on your own, but it isn't always the best choice.

A professional web designer has insight about what consumers are going to focus on and how to set your site up to offer them exactly what they are looking for. They are also very skilled in how to promote various aspects of your website to help you generate even more sales.

Having a professional design your website generally means you won't have to spend so much of your time focusing on this aspect of the business. Websites continually need changes and updates so you can see how that will eat away at your time. This means the navigation tools will often need revamping to keep up with such changes. A professional web designer is an expert in making everything fall into place. You want the consumer to be able to click and access on your website without having to consider how to make it happen.

A professional web designer does cost more than doing it yourself, but you can avoid common mistakes that plague do it your self website projects. A huge issue is the scripting of the website. It takes more than good spelling and grammar to make it interesting and attractive to the consumer. Graphic designs look great, but do you know how they affect the consumer? It may attract their attention but if it takes too long for the graphic to open they will likely move on to
another website.

You can avoid both of these issues by placing your web design needs into the hand of a professional web designer.

Why You Should Write Ebooks

By Razvan Rovinaru

Maybe you are wondering why somebody who is selling something on the internet would start to write an ebook. Well I will tell you the reasons why anyone who is working from home online
should write an ebook

A very important factor is that ebooks can help you get traffic for your website. Everybody these days is constantly looking for new information. An ebook does just that, it provides information to people. The subject isn't that important as long as it is something people are interested in.

As an internet marketer an ebook will help you bring traffic to your website. If you publish a free ebook then you can expect to receive some valuable traffic from that ebook because it has a
very appealing thing: free information.

By giving your ebook for free you are in fact advertising yourself and your products. By adding affiliate links to products or services that you are providing you can earn some good money. Each time somebody will buy using those links you will get a commission.

Another good thing about writing ebooks is that by accumulating all that knowledge you become, in fact, an expert on that subject. This can help you since people in general prefer to
purchase products from somebody considered to be an expert, an authority. It is a proven fact that experts make more money than others.

Also you should permit people to give your ebook to others. This can only help you since you will get much more exposure. Also because this is a very reliable way to get some free advertising remember to set up an affiliate program for products that you have for sale. Place a link in each of your ebooks and direct people to join your affiliate program. By doing this your affiliate network will grow and you will also generate some sales.

By sending out your free ebook you can in fact expand your business. There is a saying between internet marketers "The money is in the list" and this is true. The bigger your mailing list the easier it is for you to make some real money. Ebooks can help you increase your mailing list because when people sign up for them they must give you their contact information. So every time you give away an ebook you actually help your mailing list grow.

I showed you today just a few reasons why an ebook is a valuable tool for your online business. Ebooks are something that every internet marketer should write since the advantages they bring are obvious. Remember to use your ebooks wisely and they will help you generate a healthy profit.

How Important Are Keywords To Your Website

By David Fishman

When you hear everyone talking about tags they are referring on how you will summarize what your site or page is about. What else is your site (or blog) about? Deciding on the correct keywords is not an easy task but to make the work easier you should use a keyword program that will give you the proper statistics to make an educated choice when choosing the keywords for your site.

Customers who search the web key in using a certain keyword, if you did not use the keyword the customer is using they will not end up at your site. Make sure you use proper tools to let you
know which keywords are the most important.

Many webmaster drive traffic using search engine optimization, what you need to do is optimize your website with the correct links, keywords and content and this will rank high in the free
part of the search engine.

These are the words or phrases that can best describe your content. Think about which words or phrases describe best your product or service and note the words used on your competitors'
websites. What if you knew exactly what words they typed when using a search engine? Keywords aren't just some words that allow search engines, like Google, to find your web site.
Keyword can be single word, two or three words, multiple words and theme based.

Finding a good SEO consultant is sometimes hard to do, if you do find a good SEO person they sometimes show you techniques that will assist you in getting your site to number one. One
important part when designing your site is to find an SEO consultant that is able to work with you designer, by both working together you will get a site that is well designed and seo ready. All of your other SEO strategies won't help you at all if you choose the wrong keywords.

A great tool to help find keywords that are associated with your sites theme would be overture's search term suggestion tool, you are able to retrieve statistics that we determine which keywords you should use to market your website and build your sites ranking. This is a great tool to use when you have no idea what keywords to choose from, the tools give your statistics that were just searched on.

Yahoo is perhaps the only search engine that still uses the meta keywords tag but places very little weight on it. Meta Tags are most commonly used to distinguish the keywords that are relevant to a page's content.

When writing articles make sure the article is in the same theme as your website, this way when you are looking for keywords you will be able to use the keywords that match your sites theme. When placing a link on the article, make sure the anchor link is one of you keywords, don't use the domain name of your site, and use the anchor link with one of you keywords. Distribute as many articles as you can with the keywords for your website, this will build on the keywords you want the search engines to use.

If you are posting to directories or doing some type of reciprocal link exchange make sure the title has your keywords in it. Try not to make a title that has none of you keywords.

Building A Home Internet Business

By Garthel Jones

Make no mistakes about it; working at home is a serious undertaking that will need your concentration. If you are thinking that working at home is easy, you are in for some big surprises. There are a lot of people who are working at home who would swear that they are putting more time and effort into their home business than what they used to do while they had an 8 to 5 job in the office.

One of the biggest challenges that you will face when you work in the comforts of your home while taking care of your kids is to get the full cooperation of your family. Building a home Internet business and working at home, you will need the full cooperation of the entire family. If you have kids, you must let your kids understand that you are working and that you are not available to play with them all the time. Although having you at home and being able to play with you at all may be difficult for your young kids to understand in the beginning, they will soon get used to the idea that you are working at home and cannot be disturbed during certain times of the day.

Building a home Internet business is a big task that would need your time and concentration. There are many factors that you will need to consider when you are thinking of building a home
Internet business. First, you will need to set up your own systems. Building a home Internet business is just like setting up a regular business where you will need to put systems in place so that you can work more efficiently. If you are putting up an e-store, the first thing that you will need to set up is your procurement systems. Although you may not be required to keep inventories of the goods you are selling, you must have ready access to the products in case somebody will place an order online.

Aside from the procurement system, you will need to set up a system on how your customer can take orders and pay for their orders. There are many turnkey software that you can use for taking orders and receiving payments from customers so you will not really have much problems in this area. Just make sure that you get one of that reliable software so that you will not have any troubles tracing your sales.

Another thing that you will need to set up is your delivery system. Your customer will judge your services by the efficiency of your delivery system so make sure that you get a good courier as partner. If you are planning of catering to clients all over the world, you should set up a very reliable delivery system so that you will not end up losing some goods along the way.

Google Adsense - An Introduction To Earning Via Contextual Advertising

By Tuks Engineer

Google Adsense is a highly popular method of "contextual advertising". With Adsense, website owners can display text or image ads that are closely targeted to their site content. The site owner gets paid each time a visitor clicks on any Adsense advert displayed on the website. The amount that is paid per click depends on what the advertiser is willing to pay per click (minus Google's commission). The Adsense publishers commission can be just a few cents or several dollars per click. There are certain keywords available where advertisers pay over $100 for a single click.

This matching of content to ads is done automatically by Google, so for example, a website that has content about travel to the Maldives will bring up adverts about holidays in the Maldives - such as flights, resorts and other travel/holiday advert displays. The website owner benefits because they do not need to do anything aside from insert some simple code onto their site.

Google Adsense is closely related to Adwords. If you have searched through the Google search engine you have probably seen the sponsored ads that are found on the top and to the right of every page. Google Adsense just takes this concept a step further by allowing ads from the same advertisers to be displayed across billions of web pages & blogs. It's a simple yet highly powerful concept that has revolutionized online advertising. It allows grandma to make some residual income while sharing her apple pie recipes. It allows sports enthusiasts to set-up a blog following their favorite football/cricket/basketball team and make some money in the process. And it allows serious website content owners to make a significant stream of income by displaying adverts on their website network. Everyone has something to gain by using Adsense.

While some people rely mainly on Google Adsense for their website income, others use it to supplement their main income. The very top earners from Adsense are able to yield incomes of
several thousand dollars each month just from Adsense, but equally many struggle to collect just a few dollars daily from their Adsense sites. We'll look at how you can get into the former category shortly but first let's investigate some of the advantages & drawbacks of the Google Adsense system.

Make Sure You Understand The Google Policies Before Starting

While Adsense is a fantastic way of creating an online income stream, it's important to keep in line with its terms and conditions. Before you can set-up a Google account, it will check out your website to make sure you are eligible to participate in the Adsense program. Here are the Google policies that you should familiarize yourself with before and during your time with Adsense:

https://www.google.com/adsense/policies

Having quality content to offer is one of the biggest assets your website/blog will possess in order to qualify for the Adsense program. Having multiple informative articles on the general subject of your website niche will greatly improve your chances of being accepted into the Adsense program.

Advantages Of Using Google Adsense As An Income Generator

- It's easy to use and simple to set-up. For those who have content it's possible to start displaying Adsense adverts in minutes. It's one of the most accessible sources of online income available.

- Many people dislike "selling" online. If you fall into this category and the idea of having to write specialized sales letters does not appeal to you then Adsense could be a good income generation system for you. The website owner can focus on publishing good content & driving traffic to the site - the ads are automatically displayed and will sell themselves to the website visitor.

- Equally, many people dislike the customer service aspect of owning an online business. Having to deal with customer queries can be tedious and stressful. With Adsense, the site owner is paid each time someone clicks on one of the displayed ads, and that's all there is to it.

- In the right conditions, Adsense can be a significant source of income. Some website owners have proven to yield as much as $19,000 & more a month from Adsense income alone. Of course this type of income is very difficult to achieve when you first start up (unless you have a huge site network with massive traffic streams).

- Google has an incredibly large number of advertisers so however specialized your niche there's a high possibility of being able to participate in the Adsense program.

- Adsense offers a high degree of customization - the look and feel of the adsense displays can be changed to closely match your site. This ultimately results in higher click-through ratios.

- Just about anyone can make a start with Adsense. The program itself is free and even those who do not have the funds or technical expertise to set-up their own site can set-up a free blog.

- Google allows you to block out adverts that you do not want displayed on your pages (for example those of direct competitors).

Drawbacks With Google Adsense - Some Points To Consider If Operating This Model

- You need to have solid content to succeed with Adsense. For those with a lack of time to write their own content some investment may be required to hire a ghost-writer to create content for them, or to acquire private label rights content.

- As soon as the user clicks on the Adsense ad they are taken away from your site and onto the advertisers site (ie the ad does not open in a new window). This can lead to lost revenue for the website owner.

- Google takes a hefty chunk out of the amount that the advertiser pays to display his message on your website. This may be countered in the future as more "big players" enter the contextual ad market - the competition could mean a greater portion of the ad revenue will be retained by the website owner.

A Home Based Income Opportunity May Be Just What You Are Looking For

By IPRWire Staff Writer

The idea of a home based income opportunity is something that appeals to many people, even those who have been successfully working for and with other people. The idea that you can stay
in your own house and work the hours that you want and with the people you want is something that we all like to think about, but very few people are actually able to make this work for
themselves. Many times people have the knowledge they need, but they lack the confidence to step out on their own as well as the general know how to actually get a company of their own off the ground.

To complicate matters, too many people have already fallen victim to some illegitimate home based income opportunity. Unfortunately, there are too many of these programs to even count on the Internet and they exist in the real world as well. So many programs out there simply take people's money and leave them with nothing or they provide interesting reading, but not
enough information that can actually lead one to success. The overwhelming numbers of programs that do not actually serve people well make the majority of people searching for a home based income opportunity a bit hesitant to invest any time or money in a program that professes to provide information or guidance to allow one to work for themselves. This is
understandable, but if you are unwilling to take chances, you don't give yourself the opportunity to find the legitimate programs either.

To find the programs or systems that really will set you up for success there are a couple things that you should look for. First, you should ask for references or testimonials. See if they are members of the BBB or rated by Dun & Bradstreet. While this in and of itself may not be enough it is a good starting point. A home based income opportunity should also be one that you can purchase sufficient training or information for just once per topic or course and not have to incur any sort of recurring payment scheme for ongoing participation. Programs that are complete onto themselves are also preferred because that means you will not have to find other resources and put out potentially more money to actually make the program work for you.

Of course, this is a tall order to fill and using these guidelines you will probably be able to rule out the majority of systems or programs that you are looking into. You can rule out some others just by looking at the affordability of them. Many programs can charge thousands of dollars, or more with recurring payments which must be made for ongoing participation. While anything worth doing might cost some money and take some time before you see the results that you want, it shouldn't put you in the poor house to get there.

One website that offers legitimate programs with ongoing support is http://www.pfa.com as it fills all of the requirements that are listed above. Not only do they offer all of those great features, they also offer assistance that will help you put your plans into motion. Branching out on your own and building a business is a big step for everyone, but when you work with the programs on this website you will find that it is easier than you could have ever imagined to get involved in a known & proven business from a company that has been providing full training and ongoing support since 1978. That in and of itself makes it well worth your time to visit to see what they have to offer. Make sure you sign up for their FREE Report - You won't be disappointed!

The secret is to be able to discern the scams from the honest-to-goodness businesses. So how will you be able to this? Below are some tips on how to find the right business opportunity for you on the World Wide Web.

1. Choose a business that is right for you. Keep in mind that we are all different. What works for other individuals may not necessarily work for us.

So in looking for a business opportunity on the Internet, look for one that suits you. This means that the business must be tailor-fitted to your interests, skills and lifestyle.

2. Be passionate about the business. Find your passion. Passion is an ingredient to any successful endeavor and this includes business. To turn a business opportunity into a success you must be passionate about it.

Otherwise, you will easily get bored with it and will probably just neglect it after a few months of operations. So whenever you see a business opportunity that is right for you, jump into it with all your heart. There is no room for being lukewarm when it comes to business.

3. Look for reliable business partners. The team you are going to join must become good partners and just plain acquaintances. The same is true with Internet businesses.

It is true that it is more difficult to assess individuals in cyberspace but there are ways to do so. You can ask to meet the individuals running the websites or you could simply talk to them on the phone. The point is to make the relationship as personal as possible.

4. Be aware of your skills. If you know the things you are good at then it wouldn't be that difficult to find a business opportunity that is right for you. So before looking for a business opportunity it is wise to list down all your strengths and weaknesses. Let that list be your guider in choosing the right business opportunity.

Bloggers Can Make Money Using Adsense

By Mario Churchill

Money can now be made by sharing one's opinion. Is this a joke? No it is for real. This is because blogs are one of the things people love to look at these days when surfing in the web.

It is not that hard to make a blog. A user can download a template and put the content there or make one up using wizard.

The trick to making money is being able to find a niche market. This means finding something relevant to talk about that people can relate to that can be done through research.

When the blog site is ready, it is time to do one pre-flight check to make sure all the systems are working. It is such a huge turnoff when it is not user friendly enough to the public.

The only way to get people to see the blog is to advertise. This means coming up with important keywords that someone will normally type so that the website will appear in a few seconds.

There are many search engines on the web. The person should not be afraid of paying a small amount to be able work with some of the best in the industry such as Yahoo, Google or MSN to get more traffic.

The best way to get more viewers is to narrow down the market. Some search engines have a target ad system so that those of the same interest will be informed about the person's blog
site.

Google's version is called Adsense. The system uses a java script code. When it is ready, the person will have to endorse it to the search engine for inspection. If there are no problems, this will shortly be updated to the main server.

How does the person make money-using Adsense? When a site is made, Google will be the one posting ads in the site. Every time a customer buys something, the developer will get a commission from the transaction. So, more visitors turns into more revenue.

The best way for people to know that such a blog exists will be to tell friends and family members about it so the word will get around.

If the topic posted does not get that much attention, perhaps the issue is not that relevant anymore. Blogging is really trial and error so the person should again go back to the drawing board and come up with something better that the viewers would love to read and even tell others.

There are three requirements for anyone who wishes to use Adsense. The website developed by the person must have 10 to 15 pages of relevant information. The second is that this should be
user-friendly. Lastly, it must not have too many ads around because this will just distract the visitor from exploring the site any further.

Studies show that the number of blogs are increasing daily. This will double or even triple as various sites are also giving members the opportunity to express opinion.

It is very rare that topic for the blog will be an overnight success. There are also other people who have said something about the topic and the person has to find a way to beat the
competition.

The most important thing to do when it is up and running is to conduct maintenance checks and have updates regularly so that there is always something new to show to visitors.

An ecommerce website is fast becoming an essential piece of the modern business' success with the gradual shift in business environment to the online landscape. For the website to make any type of substantial contribution however, the business needs to have a complete understanding of its' customers wants and needs. This is perhaps the toughest aspect of the online business model.

Tools such as web analytic software can provide early guidance on how to proceed into the online business world. Designed testing to gain insight into visitor traffic patterns enables the user to monitor the site traffic in order to study the general market issues, number of visitors clicking into the pages of the sites etc. A business can use this information to design and develop the optimal solution to address these visitors / potential customers.

From the small out-of-the-basement business to the giant entities, regardless of business mode (B2B or B2C), building an ecommerce site has a terrific significance in today's market. The subject of building an ecommerce site involves certain pivotal steps that the web site developer is required to take for planning, developing and putting it into action by using applications such as Microsoft studio .NET.

One can find tons of detailed information regarding the choices of the designs the developer needs for building an ecommerce site. In this issue, it is important to discuss about the term
"Handel" since it is very much a related topic. A "Handel" is basically a set of technical modules that are used to perform certain repetitive usual actions such as adding and removing items to and from the shopping cart and other usual tasks which are related to making ecommerce software.

Building the best solution involves solving for the endgame. What is the end goal the site should accomplish? With this in mind, build the site mechanics using reverse engineering, always keeping the end result in mind. It is best to always strive to build efficiencies and ease-of-use so that the visitor avoids any type of confusion in navigation. Build it and they will come!

There are certain criterions that must be met to build up a better ecommerce site. A better ecommerce site must give a clear view of the company's actual status and should be comprehensive and substantial. It is very important to create an ecommerce site in such a way that it becomes capable to deliver within a very short window of time. If you continue to focus on the question, "why should a customer buy from me?" then your project will experience the greatest end success.

Another pivotal point regarding building a better ecommerce site is fewer the number of pages, better it is for the external world. The site should display the points of guarantee or warrantee for the products and should be built in such a way so as to assure the customer that you will always be there to help the customer if anything goes wrong.

Search Engine Optimization Strategy: An Overview

By Steven Dennis

Web masters often feel like pulling their hair out and throwing a major childish tantrum when their search engine optimization strategy efforts don't pay off. It is indeed maddening to find
that SEO efforts that have cost so much time and energy have not borne anything fruitful. Has the search engine optimization work been done correctly, though? That's the important question!

There are SEO practices that are actually based on search engine optimization strategy misconceptions. Before embarking on another optimization attempt, web masters would find it
worthwhile to read about the common SEO fallacies that one should correct so that SEO will not be wasted.

Meta-tags and hidden text

Web masters include the keywords in their meta-tags and this is standard practice. However, some web masters stop there. This is very bad practice!

If a web master wishes to increase his or her pages' relevance to a search engine queries, then the keywords should also be found on the pages themselves, not only in the meta-tags or
codes. It is true that search engines see these keywords within the hidden coding of your website. But an important fact to bear in mind is that words within your page content, visible
to readers are now more important than meta-tags.

To compromise, some web administrators incorporate invisible keywords. These are called such because the human eye cannot decipher them. The texts' color is similar to the background
so they blend in with the background when the page is viewed. On the other hand, search engines still see this text so they count towards keyword relevance.

However, what some web masters don't realize is that these keyword phrases would have been a lot more valuable as keyword phrase anchor texts had they been visible. These anchor texts
could have also linked to other pages in the site so that the relevance of the whole site is promoted. It is also pertinent to mention that hidden texts are borderline search engine
optimization strategy for it is in fact fooling search engines to believe that the site is relevant to the query. In other words they could get your site banned from search engines!!!

Web page design

Some web masters focus so much on the elements of the web site to the exclusion of other offsite search engine optimization strategy aspects. It is true that a web site should have
worthy content that has search engine optimized keywords in place. Keywords distributed in the content of the page increases its relevance to a search engine query in that keyword category. Pages that are aptly and keyword titled are also a very good way to improve the site's ranking.

Nevertheless, web masters should never believe that having very relevant and keyword-rich pages is the only way to increase page ranking. Search engines actually give much weight to link
popularity in their search algorithms. A web administrator must therefore maintain appropriate keyword density but must also work towards improving link popularity through inbound links from other renowned web sites that have related content.

Short-term SEO

Some web masters think that once search engine optimization strategy measures are initiated, they should see the jump in page ranking immediately. This is the most common misconception about search engine optimization and this leads to unnecessary aggravation on the web masters' part.

Search engine optimization measures do not give instant returns; they take time, sometimes months, to work properly and give a web site's rank a boost. Web traffic would eventually
increase after search engine optimization strategy is set into motion. Meanwhile, web masters can save themselves so much frustration if they just wait for progress and find other means
to increase traffic to their sites.
