Not a company to be content at the back of the line, they're constantly launching fun goodies for the enjoyment of "Internet Junkies." With many of these new services you'll need an account with Google to use them. Get yours at http://google.com/accounts So what have they been up to lately? Let's take a look. 1) Google Notebook: http://google.com/notebook If you do a lot of research online this might be right up your alley. As you surf the net 2) Google Page Creator: http://pages.google.com Google's offering free websites now? You betcha. This is still in the testing phase and you'll need to have a Gmail account to sign up. You get 100MB of space for your pages and be using IE 6.0 or Firefox 1.0 or higher. You can build your own website with no HTML knowledge right in your browser. Your newly built site's name will look like ... http://yourgmail.username.googlepages.com 3) Google Co-op: http://google.com/coop Everyone's an expert on something right? Google Co-op allows you to share your expertise and help others with their Google search efforts all at the same time. 4) Google Trends: http://google.com/trends Want to know how often something is searched for at Google? You can enter up to five 5) Google Desktop 4: http://desktop.google.com Not a new product but a big upgrade. The newest addition is called "Gadgets" which are mini- programs delivering things, such as weather, news updates, games and more. 6) Google Spreadsheets: http://spreadsheets.google.com Now you can keep your spreadsheets online and pull them up from anywhere you like with just your browser. You'l find some of these new inventions and plenty of others over at "Google Labs." The lab is where Google launches new services that aren't yet ready to go out into the mainstream. It's located at http://labs.google.com Google really is a giant online. If you've only been using them for search, it's time to step out of your comfort zone and try one of their new tools.
