PageRank Paranoia
If my Google Toolbar PageRank score is any indication, it looks as though WebCEO, the makers of search engine optimization software, have recently been hit with the dreaded PR0.
Strangely, a cache check for the site brings up a tracking URL for an Italian affiliate, instead of the expected home page URL: http://www.webceo.com/index.htm, which may indicate an indexing issue. No backward links for the site are currently showing, but Google has indexed 371 pages from the site. Could Google have applied a manual penalty because they frown upon use of the software? Or is that just my PageRank paranoia kicking in? Who knows.
Speaking of paranoia, this site is bitching about Google on their home page, mistakenly thinking the search giant has removed them, when they are in fact showing a healthy Toolbar PageRank of 7 and 835 backward links! Should I tell them? Nah!

Well someone told them and it wasn't me! They've removed the "please complain to Google if you like this site" message. Maybe they saw this post. Hi Evrsoft!
