A Global Business Never Sleeps

I'd like to shake the hand of the person who invented the all in one fax / copier / scanner / answering machine. Dealing with clients in 11 countries can often mean getting phone calls and faxes at odd hours. Like this morning at 4am - I happened to be awake when I heard the phone ring in the office downstairs. My wonderful all in one machine dutifully picked it up and took a message and I went back to sleep. Then what must've been an hour later, (according to the fax header), another client sent me a fax while I was snoring away.

I arrived at my desk today to see faxed approval for an SEO campaign and a voicemail from a client confirming a request for quotation. Yep, my business ran itself while I slept. A few years ago, running a global business 24/7 from rural Australia didn't seem possible. Now, thanks to the Internet, reliable equipment and the wonders of technology, ANYTHING seems possible!
